SUPERHUMAN Pre Workout

(5 customer reviews)

About

Superhuman is a “high-octane” pre-workout made by Alpha Lion.

According to the manufacturer, the product could increase strength and endurance, boost muscle growth, promote “laser-like focus” and raise energy without “crashes”.

The Alpha Lion pre-workout features several familiar ingredients.

Caffeine is widely used in this type of product because it is said to increase energy, drive and focus. Di-caffeine malate (as Infinergy™) is thought to increase endurance and promote stronger muscle pumps, while beta-alanine may help reduce muscle soreness.

The Superhuman pre-workout is sold – or has been sold – in five flavors: “Unicorn Juice”, “Hulk Juice”, “Orange Gainsicle” “Kandy Kryptonite” and “Kruger Kiwiberry”.

With this Super Human like powder it will make you feel like an Alpha Lion while your in the gym.
—-Introduction—-
First off I want to thank Alpha Lion for letting us troopers have the chance to give this product a try. When this first showed up on the trooper listed I was not able to claim it and was really bummed because I thought it looked really good from what I was seeing on the ingredient profile. Thankfully not long after they had put this on the trooper list they put a few more on there and this time I was able to claim it right away. I was pretty excited now that I was able to claim it and see if this would live up to the profile which I thought looked really good. All I can say is that I was rather pleased with this and how it worked.

—-Ingredient Profile—-
The overall ingredient profile for this I think is really good. I feel they have a lot of really good stuff in here and dosed at some pretty good amounts so they are effective. No prop blends used at all in this which is nice. They break this up into 5 separate Categories.
First you get
Superhuman Energy matrix:
Caffeine (from Anhydrous and citrate) 350mg
2-aminoisoheptane 100mg
N-Methyl Tyramine HCl 75mg

Second you get
Superhuman Pump Matrix:
L-Citrulline malate 7g
Green Tea Extract (leaf) as (VASO6) 150mg
L-Taurine 1g
Nitrosigine (inositol Arginine Silicate) 750mg
L-Norvaline 60mg

Third you get
Superhuman strength matrix
Beta Alanine 3.5g
Betaine Anhydrous 2g

Fourth you get
Anti-Crash Matrix
L-theanine 350mg

Fifth you get
Superhuman Absorption matrix
Black Pepper extract (95% piperine) 10mg

The two areas I feel they really go after in this is the energy and pump part.

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
I had asked to try their hulk juice flavor which is suppose to be a sour gummy flavor. I have had this flavor before a few times from other companies and thought it was ok but nothing that really wowed me. This was by far the best tasting sour gummy flavor I have ever had. I thought the taste of this was amazing. I so looked forward to drinking this each time I took this. I think they really got the flavoring down really well with this. It was not to sweet or tart tasting at all. I think it had just the right amount of flavoring to it. It was not to overly powering or to light on taste either. I thought maybe with the sour part it would be to much and ruin it but not at all with this. Awhile back I had an amino product that was the same flavor as this but the sour part was way to strong and really ruined it. I think I could drink this all day long it was that good. Now I really wish I could see what the other two flavors taste like they have Orange Gainsicle and Kandy Kryptonite. I know some people might think this will be to strong but I thought it was just right and give them big thumbs up on taste.

—-Effectiveness—-
The two main areas I really noticed a lot from this was the energy and pump. When I first started using this I thought the energy I got from this was rather strong and hit me a bit harder than I was expecting it to. Not long after I was on it that feeling started to go away and I did not feel it hit me as hard like. After this calmed down a bit for me l though the energy this gave me was pretty good and seem to last me a long time after taking it. I did feel a lot more alert and more energized to keeping going more. I know there were days that by the time I was ending my shift at work around 3:30 in the afternoon I was feeling pretty tired and out of it but as soon as I took this my alertness and energy levels start to go way up and on those days and it seemed like I had some of my much better workouts. After being on this for awhile I never felt to jittery or cracked out like I did when I first started using this. I felt this gave me more than enough energy to get through my workouts which usually last around 2 hours or so.

Just like at first with the energy part the pumps really hit me hard also. I am someone that has a really hard time noticing pumps a lot of time and to feel them hit me so hard at first was kind of a shock. I figured with the pumps hitting me this hard I might have some issues with some of the body parts I would be working. I know for me when I get a really good pump and try to do legs it is really hard to do them because the pump gets to be to painful like. I figured if this happened I would have to back off a little but after I was on this for awhile the pumps did not seem to be as strong. I could still feel them if I was working out a little harder that day but not to the point they were painful like. So overall I felt I got some decent pumps from this considering I don’t usually respond real well to pumps. I think it really helps when I am getting 6g or more of citrulline. Also I think with the pumps I was getting help keep my muscle looking a bit more full like which was nice. I know on days I would work my chest really hard it looked like my chest wanted to balloon out more and looked a lot more full. I know the fullness I was getting in my muscle seemed to last longer after I was done with my workouts which was nice.

I thought overall my strength gains were decent from this. I know they don’t use any creatine in this but I was supplementing some creatine with this which I think helped this product work even better for me. I think it helped enhance some of the ingredients to work better for me. I feel they use a good amount of Beta Alanine and Betaine Anhydrous to help with your overall performance and strength. By adding the creatine I think was a big plus and would like to see them maybe add some creatine to this in the future. I do understand not everyone wants creatine in their pre workouts but I think it is a bonus to have. If it’s not in there it’s not a huge deal to add it since it’s not something to costly to buy. I did feel I was a bit stronger and was able to push through my workouts a lot better. I do feel I was able to put on some more size because I was able to lift a bit heavier and perform better with my workouts so I could put on more of that muscle mass.

The last two parts they use in this is an Anti crash matrix and Superhuman absorption matrix. They use 350mg of L-Theanine to help you so you don’t get that horrible crash after your workouts. I do feel this helped me because I never had any issues with that horrible crash after my workouts and seemed to feel pretty good later on after my workouts. They use black pepper extract to help with the absorption part at 10mg. I have seen a few other companies use black pepper extract to help with absorption also. I feel this helped to have this in here because I felt I was able to absorb this more quickly into my system since I could feel it start to work right away after taking it. I think overall this was really good on my stomach and never caused me any unwanted stomach issue or upset stomach.

—-Value—-
Right now their own website is pretty much the only place you can find this. They want $43 for 21 servings. This comes out to about $2.03 per serving.
I know their is a lot of really good ingredients in this but I still think this is a bit high for only 21 servings. I would really like to see them up this to 30 servings like most pre-workouts have. For me 21 servings is not enough and need a bigger size container so it will last longer. Also I would like to see a few more sites start carrying their product line which I know would help some at getting the price down a little.

—-Side Effects—-
Nothing I noticed. Maybe just a little strong for some people if your stim sensitive.

—-Conclusion—-
This was my first Alpha Lion product I have used and after using it I was really impressed with it and how well this really works. I think they have a really good product here that is loaded with a lot of really good ingredients and dosed really well. What I really like is that this is not all just heavy on stim but has a lot of other really good stuff in here to help with other areas and not just all energy. I will for sure being putting this in my top tier for pre-works I have used and really like a lot. If your looking for a good performing pre-workout that really delivers I highly recommend checking this out. I know for sure I would be more than happy to give this another try at some point. My only little issue and it’s nothing real bad is that I would like to see this upped to 30 servings and see a few more sites start carrying their product line. Again I want to give a big shout out to Alpha Lion for making this product and letting me have the chance to give it a try.

An Awesome Pre Workout That Will Truly Make You Feel SUPERHUMAN
—-Quick Summary—-

Alpha Lion delivers solid on the great pre workout that is SuperHuman, delivering energy, focus, pumps, vascularity, and endurance all in one.

—-Introduction—-

A special thanks to Alpha Lion for their participation here on SR.com. Today, I discuss my experience with their pre workout product SuperHuman. With pre workouts, I desire increased energy, sharper focus, fuller pumps, and perhaps an increase in endurance depending on the ingredients. I was curious to give SuperHuman a go after reading what appeared to be an extensive profile.

—-Ingredient Profile—-

The profile is fully disclosed with all ingredients and dosages.

First we have the Superhuman Energy matrix containing caffeine from Anhydrous and citrate at 350mg, 2-aminoisoheptane at100mg, and N-Methyl Tyramine HCl at 75mg

Next is the Superhuman Pump Matrix containing, L-Citrulline malate at 7g, Green Tea Extract (VASO6) at 150mg, L-Taurine at 1g, Nitrosigine (inositol Arginine Silicate) at 750mg, and L-Norvaline 60mg.

Third we have the Superhuman strength matrix consisting of Beta Alanine at 3.5g, and Betaine Anhydrous at 2g

Fourth is the Anti-Crash Matrix which had L-theanine at 350mg.

Finishing off the profile is the Superhuman Absorption matrix with Black Pepper extract (95% piperine) at 10mg.

Overall, the profile is solid with plenty of well known ingredients and dosed appropriately.

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-

I received the Kandy Kryptonite. I had no idea what to expect, but I will say that is was very good. It tasted just like sweet tarts candy with a hint of sourness, but nothing unpleasant.

It mixed fine in water with no issue.

I took one scoop about 15 minutes before my workouts.

—-Effectiveness—-

I’m gonna use my category format with this one.

Energy (8.5/10): The energy was real strong, clean, consistent throughout my training sessions, and did not result in a crash at any time. I was pounding away mercilessly at al training movements during each consecutive workout day after day.

Focus (7/10): While not a significant nootropic effect, I still had a good improvement in my focus. I was less distracted and had a more targeted mindset with clearer thought processes towards each one of my training sessions’ goals.

Pump (8/10): I got a solid pump effect that was prominent with both high volume and higher intensity sets. Swole feel in all trained muscle groups and pump induced fullness were all noticeably increased. Lastly, I had more vascularity throughout.

Endurance (7/10): Wasn’t expecting much of an endurance increased, but I did have a good reduction in my fatigue and cranked out more reps for longer sessions at times. Mhy endurance during my cardio sessions and days where I focus on high volume heavy compound movements are where the endurance boost was most evident. It was not the greatest endurance increase I felt, but still a benefit nonetheless.

In nutshell, Super Human delivered hard hits in all areas.

—-Value—-

The one downside with Super Human is that the tub only comes with 21 servings as oppose to a full 30 day supply. The cheapest price I found Super Human was on Suppz.com for 40 dollars even. I feel that is a bit more of a steep price for a pre workout, especially if you aren’t getting a full month’s supply. At the same time, Super Human is also highly effective. I would say it is worth the investment for at least a try out, but you’ll definitely wanna look out for sales on Alpha Lion’s own website if possible.

—-Side Effects—-
none

—-Conclusion—-

In closing, while the price tag is a bit expensive, Super Human is a fantastic pre workout that will hit in all areas. The pump, focus, endurance, and energy enhancement benefits are sure to make you feel truly SUPERHUMAN.

WARMACHINE OUT!!!!

GO PATS!!!!

—-Introduction—-
Hello all. Full intro about myself can be found here in the forum: https://supplementreviews.com/forum/index.php?topic=35432.0

First, my thanks go out to Alpha Lion for sending me a tub of their SUPERHUMAN pre-workout to try and review. I remember when the first batch of this product was available to us TROOPers and at first glance, this seemed like a fully loaded, well dosed pre-workout. At that time, I did not need any pre-workout so I left it for others to claim hoping another opportunity would become available in the future. Thankfully that is exactly what happened here and I picked up this tub to give the product a run. I also have not used a 2-amino containing pre-workout in quite a while, so I was interested in seeing how that may change my current workout intensity and duration. Let’s dive in…

—-Ingredient Profile—-
As I mentioned in the intro, the first time I checked this product out on SR.com, I thought to myself “Damn, this thing looks to be loaded!” Having never heard of Alpha Lion or this pre-workout before, I knew it was something I wanted to give a shot at some point. A few things caught my eye on the supplement facts panel. The first was the inclusion of 2-aminoisoheptane (also known as DMHA) stacked with a hefty dose of caffeine (350mg). I knew if all went well, this combo would provide some serious and long lasting energy for my training sessions and likely beyond as well.

Next I liked what was included in the pump matrix with a nice dose of Citrulline Malate (7g) but unfortunately the ratio is not listed. Some may assume it is the typical 2:1 that is seen in many other similar products but it would have been nice if the brand detailed that out for us. Beyond that ingredient, we have the inclusion of two relatively new and up-and-coming trademarked pump ingredients. That is the VASO6 (150mg) and Nitrosigine (750mg). VASO6 is produced by our friends over at Compound Solutions who are well known for many other trademarked ingredients such as TeaCrine, Dynamine and Peak O2. The product page for this ingredient can be found at https://www.compoundsolutions.com/vaso6.html Nitrosigine is a Nutrition 21 trademarked ingredient and more can be found about this ingredient at https://nitrosigine.com/about/

The remaining ingredients on the label are pretty standard in my opinion and great to have in order to put this supplement into the category of being a complete pre-workout at one scoop. Unless you are 400 pounds of shredded human being, I could not see any reason why more than one scoop of this product would need to be taken for a training session. What I did find a little odd is Alpha Lion did not use the CarnoSyn version of Beta Alanine. With multiple other trademarked ingredients used in the formula, using the most well-known version of Beta Alanine seems like it would be a great fit for this product. Beyond that, we do have a little higher dose than most pre-workouts at 3.5g, compared to the pretty common 3.2g dose. The Betaine Anhydrous is another ingredient where a trademarked version is available (BetaPower) but was not used in this product. While it would have been nice to have, I understand that certain compromises need to be made in order to keep the cost under control. Below is a list of all the ingredients included in this supplement.

Superhuman Energy Matrix:

Caffeine (from Anhydrous and citrate): 350mg >> The compulsory ingredient in pre-workouts, Caffeine in SUPERHUMAN is dosed at an optimal level of 350mg including sources from both Caffeine Anhydrous and Caffeine Citrate (faster acting).

2-aminoisoheptane: 100mg >> The most cutting edge stimulant of the post-DMAA era, DMHA has made its way into the most popular pre workouts of the day. It’s benefits include intense energy and tunnel vision focus.

N-Methyl Tyramine HCl: 75mg >> NMT is a human trace amine. Basically, it’s a neuromodulator substance found in plants that tends to be similar to our neurotransmitters substances. Used almost exclusively in pre workout and fat burning supplements, NMT is comparable to octopamine, hordenine, and synephrine.

Superhuman Pump Matrix:

L-Citrulline Malate: 7g >> You can obtain citrulline from food or your body can manufacture it from ornithine, another amino acid you obtain from food, through a biochemical process called the urea cycle. This cycle helps rid your body of ammonia, a waste product of protein digestion. After your digestive system metabolizes citrulline malate into citrulline, enzymes in your liver cells convert it into another amino acid called arginine, and other enzymes then convert arginine into nitric oxide in a process that also produces new citrulline molecules. Nitric oxide is a vasodilator that can help protect you from cardiovascular problems by lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow to your organs, according to experts at the University of Southern California. Although your body can make citrulline in this way, research suggests that consuming extra citrulline may have significant health benefits. (https://www.livestrong.com/article/545080-what-is-l-citrulline-malate/)

Green Tea Extract (leaf) (asVASO6): 150mg >> The most hyped pump ingredient of 2017, debuting with Olympus Labs RE1GN, VASO6 is a nitric oxide booster that is optimally paired with Citrulline. This potent combo has headlined many of the industry leading pre workouts in recent memory.

L-Taurine: 1g >> Found in vast quantities in the brain, heart, and skeletal muscles, taurine is a semi conditional that provides multiple benefits to the hard-training athlete. First and foremost, taurine functions as a cell volumizer, encouraging your muscles to absorb extra water, which leads to improved hydration, stamina, and muscle fullness. Since taurine is also present in the brain, it can enhance focus and reduce brain fatigue, helping you stay in the zone no matter how long you’re in the gym. For a little more information, check out this article: https://www.tigerfitness.com/articles/post/taurine-pre-workout-supplement

Nitrosigine (Inositol Arginine Silicate): 750mg >> Also known as Arginine Silicate, Nitrosigine has been shown to be much more effective than Arginine at much lower dosages. Arginine is responsible for the muscle pump effect that you feel when working out, and Nitrosigine has been shown to have a very positive effect at improving muscle pump and blood flow.

L-Norvaline: 60mg >> L-Norvaline supports the body’s arginine concentrations. The ultimate purpose for norvaline is to assist in the regulation of both nitric oxide (NO) and blood flow. NO is a natural molecule that increases vasodilation. What does this mean for you as the lifter? This means your blood vessels will dilate and your blood pressure will reduce. This process is known as vasodilation. With norvaline, vasodilation will be greater which translates into bigger pumps that will last long after your workout is over. This greater amount of nutrient rich blood flowing to the muscles for longer periods can also positively affect your recovery which means you’ll see better results in the long-term.
Norvaline extends nitric oxide boosting effects by stunting arginase activity. Arginase is an enzyme that removes arginine and converts it into urea. Arginase can also restrict or regulate the production of nitric oxide. Norvaline stunting arginase means it helps promote unrestricted nitric oxide levels. According to a study from the Department of Medical Physiology and Microcirculation at Texas A&M University, norvaline increases NO production by 55%! (https://primevallabs.com/l-norvaline-explained/)

Superhuman Strength Matrix:

Beta Alanine: 3.5g >> Responsible for inducing hyperemia (also known as the “beta tingles,” Beta Alanine has been shown to improve strength and endurance with continuous use. SUPERHUMAN has included a massive 3.5g dose which is nearly double the dose that is normally seen in pre workout supplements.

Betaine Anhydrous: 2g >> Betaine anhydrous (sometimes also referred to as trimethylglycine or “TMG”) is a compound derived from the amino acid choline and is naturally occurring in plant species (especially sugar beets). In recent years, Betaine anhydrous has garnered a healthy amount of praise in sports supplementation, specifically as a pre-workout augmenter and potent performance enhancer.

Betaine anhydrous appears to have a multitude of benefits for athletes and gym-goers alike.

It has been gaining reputation as a pre-workout performance enhancer (for power and energy boosts) and also as a possible adjunct for fat-loss regimens. The primary reasons to supplement with betaine anhydrous include:
Increased power output
Increased capacity to perform anaerobic work
Increased energy levels
Promotes cellular hydration (similar to creatine)
May reduce LDL cholesterol/blood lipids
May help reduce body-fat tissue (needs more conclusive research)

Anti-Crash Matrix:

L-Theanine: 350mg >> L-theanine is an amino acid found most commonly in tea leaves and in small amounts in Bay Bolete mushrooms. It can be found in both green and black tea. It’s also available in pill or tablet form at many drugstores. Research indicates that L-theanine promotes relaxation without drowsiness. Many people take L-theanine to help ease stress and unwind.

Superhuman Absorption Matrix:

Black Pepper Extract (95% Piperine): 10mg >> More information on this trademarked ingredient can be found at https://www.bioperine.com/

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
Taste >> I received the Kandy Kryptonite flavor, which is modeled after cotton candy. While it wasn’t the best cotton candy flavored supplement I have ever had, it was still delicious and a joy to drink before each session. Very sweet with no bad aftertaste or anything to complain about; which is very impressive considering they only use about 13% non-active ingredients per scoop.

Mixability >> No big issues here. It is a decent sized scoop at almost 18 grams per serving with a lot of active ingredients, so I did not expect perfect mixing. Having said that, there were never any clumps or large amounts of sediment left over on the final sip.

Dosing >> Per the brand: “WARNING: Don’t be the FOOL Who Over-Doses on Pre-Workout! You NEVER need to take more than one scoop! Mix SUPERHUMAN with 12-16 ounces of water and drink 15-30 minutes before lifting things up and putting them down repeatedly.” They also recommend starting with a half scoop then working your way up to a full scoop.

** As a side note, I measured one level scoop on my generic food scale at home and it usually came in at between 14 and 15 grams while a full serving is 17.65 grams. While this is not an issue for me (especially with the amount of stimulants included in each scoop), I just wanted to make others aware in case they don’t feel the full effects from using just a level scoop.**

—-Effectiveness—-
First a little background about the type of training I did while using this supplement. I typically lift weights between three and four days a week. For the first three training sessions of the week, I am doing full body workouts including some heavy movements for different body parts each day. For example, the first session would have a heavy movement focused on my back (deadlifts or rows), the second day would have the heavy movement focused on my chest and shoulders (bench press and/or overhead press) and the third full body session would have the heavy movement focused on my legs (squats or leg press). After the heavy movements were done, the other body parts would be worked in the hypertrophy range. These workouts normally last about 90 minutes and I would sometimes do TABATA cardio afterwards. If I went in on a fourth day, that would just be a “free” day to add some more volume to any body part(s) that were feeling good or that I wanted to improve but nothing heavy.

Initially I started out with 3/4 of a scoop (13 to 14 grams) for the first couple of workouts just to be on the safe side. Since this was my first time in a while using a DMHA containing pre-workout, I wasn’t sure how my body would react. Even at the reduce dosage, SUPERHUMAN still provided me with enough active ingredients to have solid workouts. The first thing that hit me was the energy and increased focus, which came on about 20 minutes after finishing. These were smooth and long lasting with no huge spike in heart rate or any negative feelings. As the workout got going, everything else started kicking in and my body was feeling great. The strength and power aspect was always there during my heavy movements along with what felt like improved recovery between sets. As the weight increased during these heavy sets, I felt like my mind and body was prepared for the next set well before the designated rest time. This allowed me to increase the intensity of my workouts without sacrificing weight or injuring myself. As I transitioned into the other body parts and hypertrophy training, that is where the pump matrix ingredients started to make themselves known. Even at the reduced dosage, my vascularity improved and the feeling of muscle fullness was present for each body part trained and it stayed with me until the end of the workout (which was usually biceps and triceps). Even after the lifting portion was completed, I often still had the energy and focus to do some TABATA cardio, which is not normal with some of the less comprehensive pre-workouts that I have used.

After the first week of workouts went well with no side effects or crash from the 3/4 scoop, I increased the dosage to the full scoop to see how things would go. As one might expect, most of the positive aspects I described while using the 3/4 scoop were amplified while still not having any side effects. The energy and focus would come on at the same time and pace but would last a little longer with the full scoop. This was nice when I had something else that needed to be done after the workout as my energy levels were still elevated without needing to consume anything more. The strength, power and endurance aspects were pretty much the same when compared to the lower dosage; maybe a slight increase here and there but nothing astounding by comparison. However, the pump and muscle fullness aspects had a notable increase when I moved to the full scoop. The vascularity in my arms and shoulders showed up much sooner than before and the muscle fullness was present after the first working set most of the time. A big surprise was the amount of muscle fullness I could still achieve in my arms at the end of the workout and how it would stick around afterwards while using the full dosage.

In the end, I think most people would have great results using the 3/4 scoop dosage, which happens to be just under a level scoop based on my measurements. For reference, I am 6’3″ and weigh around 220 pounds (100kg) and the lower dosage worked well for me during my somewhat long workouts. If you have less body mass than I do and/or your workouts are more body part focused and last less time than 90 minutes, a 3/4 scoop will likely provide you with a great workout and help the tub last longer (which helps with the value and cost per serving).

—-Value—-
SUPERHUMAN is available on the Alpha Lion website for $43.00 per tub, which includes 21 servings. You can save 10% if you sign up for their subscription service, which includes a delivery every 28 days. They also have a 60 day money back guarantee. They also have an interest-free installment plan where you can pay for a tub over a four month period.

This product has also recently made it to the Suppz.com website and currently has a list price of $39.99 with all three flavors available. Suppz provides free shipping on orders over $79 as well and they often have some type of discount code floating around the internet to save you some extra cash.

Depending on how many workouts and the dosage you use for each, a tub can last you between three weeks (6 days a week at full dosage) or more than two months (3 days a week at 3/4 dosage).

—-Side Effects—-
I personally did not experience any negative side effects throughout my use of the tub. With so many active ingredients, be sure to take a look at the label before buying just to make sure nothing is in here that you know you do not react well to. Since this supplement does contain a pretty potent energy matrix with a decent dose of caffeine and the DMHA, I would not consume this too late in the day or you might have some issues with sleep.

The flavor I had also contained some artificial colors (Yellow 5 and Blue 1), so be aware of those if you are allergic to them or just trying to avoid these ingredients.

—-Conclusion—-
In conclusion, this was my first time using a product from the Alpha Lion brand and it was a home run for me. SUPERHUMAN has a great supplement facts profile with nice doses of the ingredients many gym junkies look for, including some trademarked ingredients so we know the quality is there. They could have used some more trademarked versions of certain ingredients but that is just nit-picking for many. The flavor I had was great and a joy to drink each time. The effectiveness was there at both of the dosages that I tried with no side effects at either. The standard retail cost might be a little steep to some but this is truly a one scoop pre-workout and many might be able to succeed at only 3/4 of a scoop per workout. The only recommendation that I have is to remove the artificial colors from the formula. There is no need for these in this product, they provide no benefit to athletic performance and they add limits to your potential market of buyers.

Once again, thank you and welcome to the SR.com community Alpha Lion. You created a great performing and cool looking pre-workout with SUPERHUMAN and I look forward to trying some other products from your brand.

Thank you for reading my review and let me know if you have any questions.

Alpha Lion, Super Human, Hulk Juice: All appropriate titles for this top notch PWO
—-Quick Summary—-
I want to apologize to Alpha Lion for the delay in this review. Recent changes to the site have seemingly belittled the value of reviews written here in a supposed response to SEO changes on Google. It’s not fair to the brands participating but this took away a lot of my motivation to get this written in a timely manner. I’ve long thought about starting a company of my own in the supplement industry and since starting up as an SR.com TROOPer it’s always been my plan to begin here, if I begin at all. The reviewers on this site are knowledgeable and reliable, at least for the most part. Products have been claimed and neglected, never reviewed, and that’s inexcusable; but to my knowledge there is no better platform for a new company to enter the market and gain quick notoriety for having a quality product. We have a base of readers and participants that span the globe, as well as many brands who are proud to advertise their product’s SR.com ratings in their own marketing because they know what they get here is real feedback, no BS. This site should be figuring out how to work what it does into Google’s algorithms to increase SEO presence, not removing core functions of the site to cater to a platform that’s been exposed for bias at many levels. Most of the people who read reviews and participate here know there is an effort to limit access to supplements in the market, the motive of which is debatable and surrounded by conspiracy theories. At the end of the day, if someone is looking for supplement reviews they’ll find their way here.

—-Introduction—-
Alpha Lion has knocked it out of the park with this one. SuperHuman is a well rounded product that will get you pumped up going into the gym and provide steady energy to last through even the toughest workouts. As someone who tends to lift early in the morning, I always take a PWO to get myself moving and this one left me more than satisfied. I’m looking forward to buying this again but hope that they plan to expand their flavor offerings soon.

—-Ingredient Profile—-
Super Human breaks down the ingredients into 5 sections, based on intent. First is the Energy Matrix which includes (350mg) caffeine citrate and anhydrous, (100mg) 2-aminoisoheptane aka DMHA, and (75mg) N-Methyl Tyramine HCl. The latter two ingredients are great and both will aid in not only increasing energy but will often have a positive impact on mood. Many companies are moving away from DMHA due to health concerns, but my experiences with it have been great and I hope we see that trend start to fizzle out. Next is the Pump Matrix headlined by (7000mg) Citrulline Malate, and followed by (150mg) VASO6, (1000mg) taurine, (750mg) nitrosigine, and (60mg) Norvaline. The combination of the CM with VASO6 and Nitrosigine was fantastic. Everything in here is effectively dosed, and all of the ingredients play well off of each other. Taurine is a great add because it will help prevent cramping from the extreme pumps you’ll be getting. The Norvaline should play a similar role as well. Next is the Strength Matrix, which could also be considered the Endurance Matrix and includes (3500mg) Beta Alanine and (200mg) Betaine Anhydrous. This dose of Beta Alanine exceeds the clinical dose and both ingredients will be effective in limiting recovery time and allowing you to work harder with less immediate muscle pain. Next is the Anti-Crash “Matrix” of one ingredient: (350mg) Theanine. A great dose and something that will limit an energy spike and jitters from all the stimulants, effectively allowing them to work for a longer period of time. Last is the Absorption Matrix with (10mg) of black pepper extract. If I had to have a gripe over anything with this product, this would probably be it. Black Pepper Extract is fine, but Astragin is more effective in my opinion. We’re splitting hairs though.

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
Dose: 10 minutes before working out, on my way in every morning around 4:15am.
Mixability: Above average, some suspended particles but no clumps, easy to consume but might need some shaking/swirling with each sip.
Taste: I receivedHulk Juice and it was overall pretty good. It’s essentially sour patch kid flavored and they were right on the money, not too sweet, not too sour. Probably the best attempt at this flavor of the 3 others I’ve tried to-date (Total War and Batch 27). It’s something I do get sick of pretty quickly though, but who really drinks PWOs for their awesome flavor anyway? Nobody.

—-Effectiveness—-
Super Human was awesome. Within 10 minutes I was feeling awake, no cobwebs. By the time I was done with my 10 minute elliptical warm-up I was jacked up and ready to lift. I didn’t experience any chest tightness from the heavy amount of stimulants, but I was full of energy. I could stay tuned in and focused throughout my entire workout regardless of whether it was 45 minutes or two hours. I hit some PRs on the bench press and was able to incorporate more supersets into my lift while still having limited fatigue from doing so. After my lift I never experienced any real crash either. The pumps were awesome and I saw a big improvement in both vascularity and muscle fullness during my lifts. Overall I’m very happy with it.

—-Value—-
Super Human is on the pricier side at $39.99 for 21 servings at suppz.com. You can find a 10% offcoupon through price plow as well to drop it slightly to $35.99. Overall I’m OK with the price though. You’re really getting a lot in here and there are literally no filler ingredients. Everything serves its purpose and does so well.

—-Side Effects—-
None.

—-Conclusion—-
I’d like to see Alpha Lion expand and think they warrant more attention. They did a great job with this product and I hope to see them in more stores very soon. If you’re on the hunt for a new PWO I would definitely recommend considering this and giving it a try. Thank you again to the company- great job with this!

Want to get mean and green, try the Hulk Juice!
—-Introduction—-
Just here for the love and coffee! With a flavor like Hulk Juice, I just had to give this a try to see how green i could get. I do want to apologize to Alpha Lion for the late review, bctuthill explained it pretty well.

—-Ingredient Profile—-
Alpha Lion Superhuman is broke into 5 different categories, being: Energy Matrix, Pump Matrix, Strength Matrix, Anti-Crash Matrix and Absorption Matrix.

The high notes are: 7000mg of L-Citrulline Malate, 350mg of Caffeine, 3500mg of Beta Alanine and 350mg of L-Theanine. These are particulars that i look at initially. I’m not big on reading all the fine details as I personally feel its a waste of time. Just glad to see fully disclosed and no prop blends.

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
Dosing is ONE scoop with water about 15-30 minutes before your workout. 20 minutes for me. Mixability was a 9 out 10. Very little residue in the cup. Taste was a 10 out of 10 for me. The Hulk Juice was phenomenal.

—-Effectiveness—-
As for effectiveness, it was top notch. By the time i walked into the gym i was ready to get after it. Most importantly, the tingle was not too intense where i was scratching myself, it just the right amount. I felt a smooth energy during my entire workout and still had plenty left in the tank when i returned to work. Which was OK because it was not the jittery energy that kept me jumping at my cube, i stay focused and was able to be more productive at work as well. Best part of all, there was no crash. Just smooth transition into the rest of the day as if i had not taken any high potent pre at all. I definitely felt like i had better workouts and increased stamina while at the gym.

—-Value—-
At $40, the value is an excellent price for the product and results you are going to get out of this.

—-Side Effects—-
I experienced no ill side effects while taking this. My wife didn’t mind the green look, kind of turned her on.

—-Conclusion—-
In conclusion, I highly suggest anyone looking to try an new pre and can get there hands on the SuperHuman by Alpha Lion, don’t hesitate and pick yourself up. You can thank me later.
