Whey tech is a great and cost effective way to build muscle
I’ve been getting Whey Tech Pro 24 on and off for almost two years now and have loved it. I usually buy this product at Vitamin Shoppe or online. I’ve had Vanilla, Chocolate Mint, and Rich Chocolate flavors. For the past two years this product has been my go to protein powder. One serving also contains 7g of BCAAS including leucine, isoleucine, and valine.
Taste/Mixability/Dosing (10/10)
Out of the 3 flavors I have tried I would say that Rich Chocolate is the best flavor (10/10). Vanilla and Chocolate Mint were also very flavorful (8.5/10). One scoop (2g protein) is very easy to mix in a blender bottle. You can even do two scoops and still make it work. I typically mix 2 scoops with 16oz of low fat milk and a scoop of peanut butter in a blender and it’s never too thick or cakey. I have tried this with water as well and it seems to be just as effective, but not as tasty.
Effectiveness (9.5/10)
I have always found this product to be very effective. Over the past 2-3 years I have worked out ~4 days / week constantly changing my workout routines. My bench has gone from 185 lbs to 300 lbs, Squat 205 lbs to 375 lbs, and Deadlift has gotten up to 475 lbs. I stand at 6’1 and have gone from 180 lbs to 215 lbs while consuming ~250 g protein a day and ~3800 kcal.
Value (9/10)
Typically the product is ~$50 for 74 servings, but I have often found this product on sale either buy one get one free or buy one get one half off. As long as you stay aware of possible sales it is possible to get this protein powder for a very cheap price.
In conclusion, I would recommend this to anyone that is interested in building muscle and not trying to put on much excess weight.

Body Tech-Whey Tech Pro24….Decent Protein, Great price.
—-Introduction—-
This is my 1st review so a little bit about myself. I’m currently 29yrs old, been lifting for 11 years. My friend referred me to this site a while back while looking for a new pre-workout. My fitness goals have changed over the years, but for now I am trying to get down to around 200lbs with 15% body fat. I’m currently at 219lbs with 25-30% body fat while standing 6’00”.
—-Ingredient Profile—- Whey Tech Pro 24 gets you a high quality whey at 24g of protein in a serving. This product has a blend of Whey protein isolates, concentrates and peptides. What i really like is that there is only 1g of sugar in a serving, so if you are trying to watch carbs then it great for you. The other thing that a lot of other proteins powders dont have that the Pro Tech 24 has is a rich mixture of BCAA’s like leucine, isoleucine, and valine.
—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-8/10
I have had a few different flavors that were just OK such as, Cookies and Cream, Red Velvet, and Vanilla. But the Rich Chocolate takes the cake. It really does taste great. So good in fact, my kids think it is better than chocolate milk made with hershey syrup. The mixability of the powder is great, i dont ever get any clumps or lumps after being shook in a mixer bottle. The only one that clumped a little (really just stuck on the sides kind of) was the cookies and cream cause of the cookie pieces. Dosing is recommended at 1 scoop per serving, but i like to make it a heaping scoop.
—-Effectiveness—-7/10
I have found this product works pretty well when it comes to good recovery after a rough workout. With the mixture of the proteins and the BCAA‘s, its great for a Pre and post workout drink. As far as building muscle mass, it is just OK.
—-Value—-9/10
Buying this at VitaminShoppe.com was they way to go for me as i had a BOGO 50% off coupon and saved a good deal of money. It is not super expensive to begin with, but i am a bargain shopper. But right at $50 for 5 lbs of protein is a great deal most anywhere. Especially getting 74 servings in the container, it lasts a little more than 2 months for me.
—-Side Effects—-
No weird side effects that i can think of.
—-Conclusion—-
All in all this is a great product for your everyday lifter that is not looking for extreme results, but still wants a good healthy recovery drink.

—-Introduction—-
If you workout, you need protein. If you don’t workout, you need protein. For myself, I’m always looking for the best bang for my buck, especially when it is something I buy on the regular.
—-Ingredient Profile—- Whey Tech Pro 24 contains 24 grams of protein that is a combination of whey protein isolates and concentrates. WTP has the standard BCAA profile of leucine, isoleucine and valine with no additional BCAAs. It also only has 1g of fat and 3g of carbs per serving. Included in WTP is Aminogen which is supposed to aid in absorption.
—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
1 Scoop contains 24 grams of protein. I typically take 1.5 servings every morning/evening on non-workout days along with an additional 1.5 servings once or twice a day. On workout days, I take 2 servings after my workout, 1.5 servings twice during the day, and 1.5 in the evening. Mixability is pretty good as long as you use milk. It does not seem to blend as well with water, no matter how much water I use. The taste is great. My two favorites are Rich Chocolate and Chocolate Mint. The Vanilla is OK but I have not tried the Strawberries and Cream. I did try the Red Velvet and Mocha and was not impressed so I will be sticking to my top two at this time.
—-Effectiveness—-
The effectiveness of taking protein is hard to judge IMO. Of course I can tell when I am not taking any protein at all but as long as I am taking my protein, I feel like my body/muscles are getting enough protein and benefiting from it as it should. Compared to one protein to the next, I have not noticed a difference other than the taste.
—-Value—-
Now this is why I buy this protein. Normal price is $50 for 5lbs. However, twice a year (typically April and September) Vitamin Shoppe offers BOGO 50% and if you watch they also include an additional 20% if you spend more than $100. So twice a year, I stock up on my protein to get me thru to the next sale. It is very rare I find a better deal then this so this is the protein I drink 98% of the time.
—-Side Effects—-
As with any protein, if you intaking a lot you can become a little gassy and it’s not the most pleasant smell lol. Other than that, I have not had any sides on this protein. I have had stomach issues from other kinds from time to time but not this.
—-Conclusion—-
In conclusion, with protein being a staple of your workout, I highly recommend Whey Tech Pro 24 especially when you can catch it on sale. With the amount of grams per serving and the great taste with no clumping, it’ll be hard to beat.

First time trying BodyTech brand protein.
This was my first time trying BodyTech WheyTech Pro 24 protein. I typically am a Optimum Nutrition protein guy but the Vitamin Shoppe was running a sale on these so I gave it a try. It was buy one get one 50% off and I purchased the 2lb. tubs and paid roughly 35 to 40 bucks.
Ingredients:

BodyTech:

Serving Size: 1 SCOOP
Number of Servings: 29 Servings
Price per Serving: ($0.86 / serving)
Product Weight: 41oz
Optimum Nutrition:
Form: Powder
Flavor: Chocolate
Serving Size: 1 SCOOP
Number of Servings: 29 Servings
Price per Serving: ($1.03 / serving)
Product Weight: 39 OZ
I purchased the Rich Chocolate flavor and after first taste it is very similar to the Optimum Nutrition Milk Chocolate flavor in terms of taste. One serving is 24 grams of protein, 1 gram of sugar, and 3 grams of carbs so this is very similar to Optimum Nutrition macros as well. I typically mix my protein with water after my workouts and didn’t notice any clumps or protein that didn’t mix up with just a standard shaking of your typical shaker cup. I didn’t use the metal ball that comes with the shaker cups on several occasions and didn’t notice loss of effective mixing. There were a few occasions where I mixed this protein with 2% milk as well and didn’t notice any issues with mixing it either.
In terms of effectiveness I would put this product right up there with your brand name proteins currently on the market. It had similar macros as your name brand proteins so it was easy to add this to my current meal plan and not have to worry about adjusting my macros for my diet. My current workout routine is sort of a strength and athletic based workout. Three days a week I do heavy movements ie. Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Press and Shoulder Press. On the days in between I do athletic/functional based exercises ie. Pull Ups, Push ups, SL Deadlifts, box jumps, burpees. While taking this protein my starting weight was 180lbs. and after a month of taking it I was at 182lbs. albeit it not very much gained it is some gains. If I would have dialed my diet in more and consumed the right amount of calories I probably would have gained a little more.
I mentioned I bought this when it was on sale as buy one get one 50% off but this typical runs right around 20 to 25 dollars for a 2lb. tub. In my opinion this well worth the money. I will be on the lookout for when this product goes on sale again.
Optimum Nutrition 2lbs tub price at Vitamin Shoppe: $29.99
BodyTech Whey Tech Pro 24 price at Vitamin Shoppe: $24.99
I didn’t notice any side effects other than the protein farts…. No upset stomach or anything like that.
In conclusion I would highly recommend to give this protein a shot if you are wanting a cheaper priced protein with name brand quality. This will be my go to protein from now on.
