Vyvamind bills itself as a stimulant based focus aid that can boost your overall brain health and cognitive performance. Its stated benefits claim it can prevent brain fog, increase drive, ease stress and anxiety, prevent fatigue, and boost total brain performance.

Unfortunately, as soon as you look a little closer, it becomes clear that taking Vyvamind is not going to have the effect on brain performance that it claims. In the following Vyvamind review, we will show you exactly why that is.

Vyvamind Review

The Vyvamind ingredients consist of the b vitamins vitamin b6 (2.5 mg) and vitamin b12 (50 mcg), citicoline (200 mg), l-tyrosine (300 mg), l-theanine (150 mg), and caffeine anhydrous (75 mg).

At first glance this appears great, as all these ingredients do indeed offer cognitive benefits. Unfortunately, the issue is not with what it contains but how much of each it has.

While one ingredient is at least in the ball park of being right, the others are either drastically too low to be of any use or, in the case of one of the b vitamins, too strong and likely to cause side effects.

Then there is the fact it has far fewer ingredients than most of the top nootropic supplements do, while also being very expensive. While this may not be so bad if it at least used the right dosages, getting those wrong as well simply makes this an overpriced, ineffective supplement.

Instead of wasting your money of Vyvamind, consider trying a nootropic supplement like Hunter Focus instead. It contains all of the same ingredients as Vyvamind, works much better, features many extra ingredients, and still costs less, making it a better option in every area.

Vyvamind Ingredients

Vitamin B6 – 2.5 mg

Vitamin B6 is made of 6 compounds which, when combined, effects around 140 coenzyme reactions in the human body. It is mainly put in brain health supplements as it encourages more effective biosynthesis of key neurotransmitters in the brain, while protecting brain cells.

Other popular health benefits of vitamin b6 include boosting your metabolism and testosterone levels, which will help to keep both your mind and body healthy (1). Unfortunately, vitamin b6 is only said to be safe when taken in doses of around 1.5 mg per day.

As taking Vyvamind will see you consume 2.5 mg per dose, it is simply too strong and may lead to side effects, many of which are dangerous, including involuntary muscle contraction, skin lesions, heartburn, nausea, photosensitivity, numbness, and a lack of feeling in extremities.

Vitamin B12 – 50 mcg

Vitamin b12 is vital for healthy brain cell development and nerve function. It is often added to mental performance enhancers like Vyvamind as it can prevent brain fog, depression, mood swings, and the development of conditions like vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Things like your metabolism and rate of nutrient breakdown, as well as the production of bone marrow, testosterone, red blood cells, DNA, and nerves are all benefitted by an increased intake of vitamin b12 as well.

To see these benefits though, 1,000 mcg of vitamin b12 must be consumed each day (2). As taking Vyvamind will only give you 50 mcg of vitamin b12, its inclusion in the supplement is virtually worthless and you are unlikely to feel any effects from it.

L-Tyrosine – 300 mg

Unfortunately, to see these benefits, a minimum of 500 mg of l-tyrosine must be taken each day, while the optimal dose is between 500 and 2,000 mg (4). With Vyvamind containing just 300 mg of l-tyrosine per serving, it simply doesn’t have enough to produce the desired effects.

Citicoline – 200 mg

Citicoline is a variant of the amino acid choline. It provides all of the same benefits as choline, which includes boosting neurotransmitter production and physical and mental performance, while lowering cholesterol levels (5).

However, its altered metabolic pathways allow citicoline to offer a number of additional benefits of its own, such as increasing mental energy and reducing the effects of aging, damage, and toxins to prevent cognitive decline and benefit your long term mental health.

The optimal dosage of citicoline can vary dramatically based on the study you look at, but all of them suggest a dosage between 500 and 2,000 mg per day. This means the 200 mg present in each dose of Vyvamind is so low that it is essentially worthless.

L-Theanine – 150 mg

L-theanine is a non essential amino acid which is primarily required to keep you healthy and your immune system functioning correctly. However, it can also be extremely useful to improve cognitive function as well.

The effects of l-theanine on mental performance include helping you to stay focused, boosting relaxation and sleep quality, reducing anxiety, and relieving stress (6). The optimal dosage of l-theanine required to reap these benefits is from 100 to 200 mg (7).

As Vyvamind contains 150 mg of l-theanine per serving, it falls in that range and can be useful for a number of people. Unfortunately, larger people or those who have a higher tolerance to l-theanine will find it too weak to see the maximum benefits the supplement can offer.

Caffeine Anhydrous – 75 mg

Caffeine anhydrous is a dehydrated form of regular caffeine, which is one of the most popular stimulants of Earth and equally as powerful as many prescription stimulants. It is well known for boosting energy levels, metabolism, and your rate of fat burning.

The inclusion of caffeine anhydrous in cognitive performance supplements allows them to provide intense focus, alertness, and mental energy levels, while reducing tiredness and fatigue. This is all possible when at least 200 mg of caffeine anhydrous is consumed each day (8).

Unfortunately, Vyvamind contains just 75 mg of caffeine anhydrous per serving. This means it has less than half the optimal dosage, so is unlikely to provide any real benefits beyond a slight increase in your energy levels.

Vyvamind Customer Reviews

Vyvamind is only sold directly on their own website, so this is where we have to look for reviews from past or current customers. Unfortunately, the Vyvamind review section looks to be disingenuous to say the least.

Each review features a glowing promotion of the product next to a picture of the “reviewer” posing with the bottle. With nowhere on the website actually giving you the option to leave a review, these appear to be paid advertising posing as real reviews.

This not only means they aren’t of any use when trying to work out how effective the product is, but they also raise a serious red flag as to the integrity of the manufacturer, as well as what they may be trying to hide.
