About
Nutrex Tested is a natural testosterone booster from Nutrex. It was created to help men increase free-testosterone levels, grow more lean muscle and improve both sexual functions and exercise performance.
The product contains two ingredients: Eurycoma longfolia jack extract (also known as tongkat ali) and boron citrate.
According to Nutrex, eurycoma longfolia jack extract (included here as the patented J100) could boost testosterone and lower cortisol (a stress hormone) to improve mood. The brand also says the nutrient may raise the libido.
Boron citrate is also thought to help lower cortisol and raise both free and total testosterone.

A LongJack product that simply doesn’t last very long.
—-Introduction—-
Whats up SR, I’ll start off by thanking Nutrex for being a part of the Trooper program! My training is hypertrophy based, 6 workouts a week in the early mornings (with a varying split), squatting every day and combat training at night. With such a high training volume sometimes there are negative side effects in regards to energy and libido, that is why I chose to review this product.
—-Ingredient Profile—-
Very simple profile, consisting of only two ingredients, which are: LJ100 (Longjack (Tongkat Ali)) – 200mg – This patented version of Longjack is used for: Building lean muscle, boosting sexual health/ libido/ easing tension (stress) and optimizing hormone levels according to Nutrex’s website. Their justifications for using this patented version is that it is a standardized 100:1 of 40% Glyco Saponins, 22% Bioactive Eurypeptides, 30% Polysaccharides, and 0.8% Eurycomanone. Which a clinical trial showed had the benefits listed previously. Boron Citrate 100mg Boron citrate claims to have testosterone boosting effects as well (libido, strength, muscle, performance, etc) Personally I like to see more well known ingredients in my test boosters such as tribulus or DAA.
—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
These are pills so the taste is not a factor, small easy to swallow capsules. Dosing is where there is an issue. The serving size is two pills per serving, with 30 servings per bottle. However when reading the instructions for dosing it states that you are to take one serving (2 pills) in the morning and one serving at night (2 pills), which means that the bottle only contains a 15 day supply.
—-Effectiveness—-
I’ll break the effectiveness down into several categories to make this an easier read. Strength: the strength boost was average when compared to other boosters I have tried in the past. Only minimal increases in my lifts during the course of the 15 days. I felt only slightly stronger, this could have been due to several factors as well (strong pre workouts, good sleep, etc). Not enough of a strength boost to make me want to continue usage. Libido: This is where the product really surprised me. I had great boost in libido, even after tough workouts and long days at work I had no issues in regards to libido/ sexual arousal. This was definitely a surprise to me as I am a young guy (23) and I really didn’t think I needed any help in that area. Perhaps for an older customer this benefit could be increased even further. Muscle building: Minimal but some difference in muscle size, as to be expected from only 15 days of usage. I was not expecting much in the form of muscle building going into the use of this product anyways, so the small gains I did have were a nice little surprise. Easing tension/ stress: I did find myself having less weight on my shoulders, I found that my rest was solid and I was able to relax before falling asleep. However I did not have any real stressors during the two weeks I used this product for, so the actual benefits in regards to stress levels are hard to evaluate.
—-Value—-
This is where the product takes the biggest hit in my opinion. 15 days per bottle is just simple not enough. I would much rather have seen a 30 day supply in the bottle where the effects could really be analyzed properly. this retails for 39.99 on average, giving it a value of $2.66 per day for the 15 day cycle. Not ideal for only a 2 ingredient test booster.
—-Side Effects—-
No side effects other then a slight increase in morning wood, but that never hurt anybody.
—-Conclusion—-
Overall this product was simply very average for me. The boosts in strength and size were far to minimal for the price point. The use of this as a sexual aid is perhaps its best application. I would recommend this only to older men looking for a libido boost as it was effective in this manner for me. Anyone looking for more then just a sexual boost from their test booster should perhaps look elsewhere.

Gave Tested a test, and it passed with an A
—-Introduction—-
Before I begin I want to apologize for the time it took to get this review out, life has picked up in a number of areas. Aside from that, a quick thank you to both the SR team and Nutrex for allowing me to sample and review their 30 serving bottle of Tested.
—-Ingredient Profile—-
A pretty short, yet effective ingredient list including 200mg of LJ100 Standardized Eurycoma Longfolia Jack Extract (ElJ) and 100mg of Boron Citrate. Both of these ingredients have been studied to increase your natural testosterone levels, and this ratio made for some noticeable results. A quick side note about ElJ, it has been confirmed that it does not affect your testosterone : epitestosterone levels, meaning it won’t necessarily show up positive on a urine drug test, just incase you were expecting to be taking one any time soon.
—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
Taste + Mixability: N/A Dosing: I kept a pretty steady routine of taking one 2 capsule serving in the morning before working out and another before I went to bed.
—-Effectiveness—-
To be honest, when I first started taking this supplement I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I’ve tried other test boosters before this and they had the libido effects, but never so much in strength, recovery or overall gym aggression that is expected from test boosters. Tested was something else though, I experienced all of the wanted effects. Libido support was through the roof, not going to get into too much detail about that part for the readers sake. I had a noticeable increase in my power strength, meaning my low rep compound lifts increased by about 15-20lbs by the end of the 15 day cycle. While I was in the gym I had the mindset of an animal, I don’t know if I was just feeling myself these two weeks or what, all I know is that it was a great two plus weeks for me in the gym. As far as the mood support side of having higher testosterone, it helped me create a better balance of my hormones which led to an overall better mood during the day and then while I was in the gym I could turn on the inner animal and kill it. As much as I was killing it and burning myself out in the gym I didn’t notice a whole lot of DOMS, I was recovering very well and quickly, most likely due to the increased test while asleep. Overall it was a very effective test booster and accomplished all of the aspects I was looking for in a test booster.
—-Value—-
30 servings for $39.99 coming out to $1.33/serving or $2.66/day
—-Side Effects—-
N/A
—-Conclusion—-
To conclude, Nutrex Tested was a very effective test booster and Libido supporter that gave great results. it runs a little pricey, but it’s something that I’d buy on occasion when needed. Again, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is in need of a higher test level or libido support.

Hey… is this thing on? …think I hear something… THERE IT IS… oh… it’s gone…
—-Introduction—-
Anyone know the old song “Try a Little Tenderness” by Otis Redding? That’s how I felt with TESTED. The song starts slow and quiet, and just when it’s beginning to get going, it ends. Now, I think Nutrex is a fantastic company, I think the main active ingredient in this particular product is well-tested and its credentials are sound, but overall I found this product let me down a bit despite the hearty dose we’ve all come to expect from Nutrex.
—-Ingredient Profile—-
There are two ingredients in TESTED: Tongkat Ali, specifically LJ100 which is a trademark of HP Ingredients and has extensive testing to back its effectiveness; and Boron Citrate dosed well above the doses used in studies discussed on Examine.com. If you’re going to be taking Tongkat Ali for any reason, you’re going to want to use this kind. It’s wicked concentrated, and there have been 13 human clinical trials to study its effects. While taking it you should notice an uptick in libido, a reduction of cortisol/stress levels, reduced fatigue, increased focus, and an improved level of athletic performance. Boron has shown potential at increasing free testosterone as well, however the study on Examine.com was a cohort study and the free testosterone was created by a reduction in estrogen. One other cohort study showed an increase in both estrogen and testosterone in postmenopausal women with a boron deficiency.
—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
No mixing or dosing. I took two pills in the morning and two at night, usually on an empty stomach.
—-Effectiveness—-
After a week of taking Tested, I wasn’t just wondering if it was working, I was wondering if it was holding me back. I felt very lethargic for days on end, which is a rarity for me. However, I can’t isolate the issue to the supplement alone. I have an injury that has forced me to take an entire day out of my rotation and work has been piled on at the office. But still, I didn’t notice the boost in energy that I should have. After that initial week, things started to take a turn. I noticed that I looked much leaner. I had some vascularity developing in my lower abs that usually only comes out when I’m doing tons of cardio and being very careful about what I am eating. I was only doing minimal cardio though, because I was tired, and I was actually eating in a (clean) calorie surplus while trying to regain energy and make my muscles recover faster from the lost day in my rotation. The weight-loss was most notable in my arms where I again noticed a large uptick in vascularity. Typically I have a bicep vein regularly visible, and others will pop up on my forearms now and again, but after a week of Tested I had visible veins everywhere on my arms it seemed. I also noticed an increase in libido after the first week. During the first week I actually noticed a decline, but the second week was like being in high school again. I would have liked to continue with this and see if the positive effects continued to accumulate, but unfortunately I only had a 15 day supply in the bottle. Since finishing it on Sunday, (4 1/2 days ago) I’ve noticed some water weight returning. I never noticed an improvement in my strength or endurance.
—-Value—-
For a Tongkat Ali supplement, this is really expensive. For an LJ100 supplement, it’s actually a bit less expensive than competitors. The best price I found was $23.99 for 30 servings from DPS Nutrition and using a discount code from PricePlow. That equates to $1.60/day with two servings daily. That’s really not too bad, but there are other options available that will last longer using different ingredients to get the same effects.
—-Side Effects—-
I’m going to say none here. Even though it may have caused some early lethargy, there was too much going on for me to really verify it was to blame.
—-Conclusion—-
Overall, I think this was starting to work when it finished. That makes it difficult for me to recommend. If I were able to run two bottles back to back the verdict might be different, but even then I’d need to recommend with an * to explain that the effects will take a long while to kick in. There’s no way to say they wouldn’t just fall off again either. It’s just tough to drop something when it seems to be at its peak. I would rather pay $40+ for a full month’s supply in a larger bottle. I don’t think I’d personally buy this again until I see another size available. I want to give Nutrex a big thank you for sending this out. I love the company and their approach to the industry, and wish them nothing but the best in being successful on the scene!
