Founded in 2014, Performix is a self-described “performance-driven lifestyle brand”. It is based in Denver, Colorado – but also has a strong presence in New York.
The company is a subsidiary of Corr-Jensen, whose founder Matt Hesse, is also Performix CEO. Corr-Jensen also makes and sells products under the Orb, Ab Cuts and ANS brand names. Hesse started Performix to offer “products, content and services” to give users “the edge in fitness and in life”.
The brand’s supplement range includes thermogenics (fat burners) for men and women, proteins, pre-workouts and “male performance” supplements – all of which are sold under the SST (suspension super thermogenic) sub-brand.
All Performix supplements are formulated and prepared at facilities that follow the FDA’s strict guidelines for current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). In addition, all products are sold through third-party retailers like GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe and Amazon. According to the brand website, the Performix SST line is “#1 at GNC”.
Top sellers at GNC include the Women’s 8HR Time-Released Multi and the Men’s 8HR Time-Release Multi – both of which boast five-star reviews from customers on the GNC site. Another popular product in the range is Performance SST -“an innovative, multi-phase release thermogenic” – which is designed to increase energy, enhance focus and ramp up fat metabolism.
The brand is also well-known for Performix House – dubbed “New York’s Most Exclusive Gym” by Forbes magazine. In fact, the gym is so exclusive that it costs $900 per month to become a member – and it has a 13% acceptance rate, which is “lower than that of Cornell University”. As a result, Performix House boasts “star-studded clientele” trained by “New York’s finest trainers”.
Performix CEO, Hesse, describes himself as a “patriot”. With this in mind, it perhaps comes as no surprise that he created the FitOps Foundation – an initiative set up to help armed-forces veterans “build on [their] fitness and leadership experience” through intensive training and certification. Performix sponsors the organization.
