Description
Opti-Men is one of many multivitamins on the market today. What sets this one apart is the high quality ingredient profile and great value. Rarely will you find a multivitamin that includes a comprehensive blend of vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and herbs that are specific to promoting male health.

A daily serving is 6 tablets. Ideally, split the dosage between breakfast and supper and make sure to consume it with at least 5g of fats to help with absorption.

Recommended I have ever so slowly been switching from Animal Pak to Opti-Men over the past several months. Opti-Men seems to be more geared toward overall fitness whereas Animal Pak is geared for strength training and lifting.
The Opti-Men pills themselves do not taste particularly good so its best to down them quickly instead of letting them marinade in your mouth while you scavenge something to drink.
These pills sit better in my stomach than other multi's which is why I have been taking them more often. If I take an animal-pak and go running, I will be burping up multi-vitamin for hours and animal-pak does not seem to help against muscle cramping due to water loss in endurance exercises. Opti-Men gives me a steady flow of nutrients up to 6 hours after I take a full dosage although you can split the 3 pills throughout the day or take them all in the morning, I do both depending on the situation.
Opti-men is very vitamin heavy but it does not have many "extras" like milk thistle or carnitine and im not saying these are necessities either. Overall I am impressed with the inclusiveness that is in Opti-Men and I like that it is more of an athlete vitamin rather than a bodybuilder vitamin. The price also makes it more affordable than its competitors.

Recommended I decided to sway away from the Animal Pak for a little bit since i am on my summer cut and i simply don't need THAT many vitamins. There is less wear and tear on my body and Opti-Men was recommended from some of the guys here at the TSR family. I have looked into it before and thought it might be good so i went ahead and made the purchase.

I was more than pleased with this Multi. It's got pretty much anything you need although, it lacks the milk thistle that is in the Pak but that's not anything terrible.

The price was nice, picked up a 180 count for 23 dollars with shipping which lasted me 60 days.
When it first arrived, i read the label quickly, eager to take it, and downed 3 pills at once with my breakfast since i was so used to pounding the 11 pill fiasco that came with the Animal Pak lol. As my day proCEEded and i urinated several times, i realized that i took way too many, way too soon. So i asked some of the fellas on here and turns out i misread the label dosage and it is to be taken multiple times a day- 3 a day, 1 with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Started that dosage on the second day and have had nothing but great results since.

I experienced enhanced mood and natural all day energy. It also noticeably helped with recovery and my training regimen.

I'm not gonna go too in depth with whats in it because if you know anything about a multi vitamin, it is exactly what it says it is. Multiple vitamins, minerals, mixed with some EAAs (Essential Amino Acids). A must for anyone who involves in weight training and cardiovascular activity.

This is another staple for me that will be included in my cut phases for some time to come. I'm already on my second bottle and i highly recommend it.

Another thumbs up for Optimum Nutrition.

Recommended I have to say that this is by far my favorite multi-vitamin. I have tried a wide variety of MVs, from bargin basement vareities to GNC Mega Man/Sport. This beats them all hands down. The only one I haven't tried to Animal Pak, but I have had such great experiences with this, I don't think i will by trying it anytime soon.

The nutrient breakdown is great. It contains all the core vitamins and minerals along with a nice nice Viri-Blend and botantical traits and key amino acids.

Serving Size is recommended at 3 per day, but I stick to 2 a day. One in the morning with breakfast, half pill at lunch and half pill at dinner.

Even better than the nutrient breakdown is the price. This can typically be had at under 18 dollars for 180 pills. Definately a wise investment in any person's training diet.

Recommended Great multi-vitamin has everything you need and then some. Has an awesome vitamin and mineral profile like amino acids, digestive enzymes, saw palmetto, ginseng and ginko biloba. Taking 3 pills a day isn't bad at all plus they go down easy. I experienced no after taste whats so ever while taking these. Not a bad value either comes out to about 10 bucks a month. These will continue to be a staple in my supplement arsenal. Just another great product from Optimum in my opinion. I definitely recommended them to athlete's, bodybuilders or anyone in general.

On bodybuilding.com I purchased my optimen for $23.99 for a two month supply. The label recommends 3 pills a day and there are 180 pills per container bringing the price to .40 cents for three pills. This isn’t great value if you compare to Centrum or Costco’s multi vitamins which come out to about .2 cents a day.

Overall and Effectiveness: 8/10
It is pretty hard to gauge how well a multi vitamin works because you can’t feel it instantly. Honestly I went from a month of no multi’s and just eating lots of fruits and veggies to adding three capsules a day and virtually felt no difference. The bottom portion of the vitamin profile includes several extremely dosed proprietary blends that really have no value and just look good on paper. They also disclose some of the ingredient amounts at the bottom of the profile that are underdosed. For example, Alpha Lipoic Acid is a great supplement to help increase absorption of creatine and vitamins so it is beneficial to take with your supplements. Optimen has 25 mg when you should be taking in 200 to effectively enhance nutrient uptake. Overall, I am a huge Optimum Nutrition fan and believe they are very trustworthy, but in my opinion, they used their name to make an overpriced multi. I would rather take a Costco multi with 5 grams of BCAA and 300 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid and it would still be cheaper.

Cons:
  • Natural Energy
  • Not Quite As Insane As Animal Pak

Recommended I have taken a few bottles of this before and I love them. This is my go to multi vitamin from now on. The price of these I think is pretty good. I got the 180 count bottle for $19.95 plus shipping cost. I use to take GNC mega men but those are so over priced and way under dosed. I also took One A Days multi vitamins and those are really bad and way under dosed and does not have nearly as much in the way of ingredients.

I really like all the different ingreients they put in these and that they don't try to under dose your servings of each ingredient. There is a lot of really good stuff they put in these that I did not know was in these. I noticed a lot of other multi-vitamins don't have a lot of these ingredients that are in the Opti-men.

Since I have been taking these I feel way more alert and have more energy through out the day. This have also given me a lot better recovery. Also my immune system has improved a lot more since taking these and I don't hardly get colds or sick anymore. I just feel better over all and my mood I think has improved.

These are pretty easy to take and there is no real after taste when taking these. I can't stand when you take vitamins and you get a really bad after taste.

It's says to take 3 of these on the label but I would not do that. I take two a day and that is more than enough to take in one day. I noticed that when I take 2 of them at a time that it makes my urian really bright neon yellow. I feel these kind of go through your body to quickly at times. This I don't like because that means you are peeing out to much of the vitamins. I would suggest taking one of them early in the morning and then take the other one later in the day so you don't pee so much of them out and so your body can absorb more of the vitamin.

I feel these are a pretty solid multi vitman and I would highly recommend taking them. For the price and the amount you get in a bottle this is a pretty good deal.

When you take these make sure you take them with food. I took them a few times without food and I got a really upset stomach. As soon as I got some food in my stomach I felt just fine.

Pros:
Cons:
  • Increased Energy
  • Helps With Recovery
  • Natural Energy
  • Improved Mood
  • No After Taste
  • Easy To Swallow
  • Good Value
  • Upset Stomach If Taken With Out Food.
  • Flushes Through Your System Quickly
  • Your Body Doesnt Need That 3 Pills Worth Of Nutrients Daily
  • Neon Yellow Pee
  • Do Not Take 3 At Once!!

Finally got my review done on this product. I never realized until now that I never wrote a review on this product.

I just got another bottle of this stuff and wanted to see what I wrote about this product in my review and noticed I had never wrote a review of this stuff yet.

I am usually pretty good about writing reviews as soon as I am done taking a product but for some reason I forgot to do that with this product. I have only taken a few bottles of this stuff so how I forgot to write a review on this I don't know. So here is my review finally LOL.

Recommended This is by far my favorite mult-vitamin. It has all of the major vitamins with high doses of B vitamins and bunch of other great stuff specifically for active men. When you work out as hard as we do, its important to get in all your vitamins and minerals. We can't always rely just on diet for this. I like to think of a multi as my insurance policy.

Recommended I have gone through 2 bottles of opti-men vitamins and recommened them to everyone. i am not a hardcore bodybuilder, but i do consistantly workout 5 times a week at least. I had a noticable change in energy and mood within the first week of taking opt-men. I definetly feel better the days i take these vitamins, and my recovery time is much lower. the pills are easy to take and are the size of a normal vitamin. I take them 3 times daily with meals as recommended. 1 bottle lasts about 8 weeks so i think the value is great.

everybody is different so if it didnt suit my body what should i do......it gave me anxiety.....
i have heard that animal pak also gives some anxiety....
most of the bodybuilders or fitness people i have seen dont look happy at all(i am speaking of some not all)...some are very angry, some are full of anxiety and some cant even speak properly bcos they put so much different things in their body.it may be multi, protien powders, aminos, stimulants, steroids, pro hormones...dont know what else.they just want to look good physically, in one word "muscle bound zombies".
what i am trying to say is that everybody needs a good body and also need a good social life.thats why i always look for supp that suits me .......simple....
or if u r so damn cool with all the supps in your body then try speaking in front of 1000 people for an hour with out losing your mind or getting nervous or may be getting irritated.....try it
and plz dont post replies as if u know everything or as if you know every chemical reactions which happens inside the body.

Recommended I have not taken many other multi's... Gnc's brand and this. I havent seen the need to change from this. It gives you more than any one a day multivitamin. It doesnt cost too much so having it come with every stack doesnt hurt the wallet. I would say it is an overall 10 and 10 effectiveness but i have read to many reviews in which people say animal packs first. though i haven't taken them i wont discredit them. I usualy get them free with purchase of my protein stack from bb.com thats why i started using them and i kept using them because of the price. only draw back i can think of is the change in color of urine. no matter how much water i drink it still comes out slight tinge yellow making it hard to judge my hydration level... but I usualy then just drink more water which couldnt hurt.
