In the past ten years (working out), I've used MANY different types of multi-vitamins. I'm a huge fan of Animal Pak, just to get that out there, and my only gripe is the number of pills you need to take per day. During an extreme stack, I'd always stick to Animal Pak. However, I started taking Opti-Men a few months back and found that it really had everything that I needed for a maintenance and cutting diet. My diet is pretty good although veggies are not as frequent as they should be. One real plus is that I am RARELY sick when taking this multi. It's an obvious plus to most vitamins...

It's an obvious plus to most vitamins however this one stands out above the rest.

Taste (?/?): they all taste bad (except Flintsones) so this isn't really rateable, but its absolutely better than Animal Pak.

Value (10/10): There really isn't a better bang for the buck. Multi-32X is pretty good as well and one that I would fall back on if I couldn't get this one but for overall value its very tough to beat.

Effectiveness: (9/10) As with any multi-vitamin, you still need to get external sources such as fruits and veggies. Even Animal Pak can't be considered your whole source of vitamins and minerals for a day due to rates of absorption so I'm not sure I'd ever give a 10/10 on this category. With that said however, this product gives you just about everything you'd need and then some for most diets.

Overall: (9/10) The only reason this is not a 10/10 is because in my opinion, Animal Pak has a slight edge due to it's "all-encompassing" approach. The added digestive enzymes in Animal Pak along with higher levels of certain vitamins give it an edge, especially in heavy bulking sessions, however that may not be something that everyone is looking for.

In summary, this is the only Multi that I will use going forward except on heavy, all out bulks (where I would use Animal Pak). For everyday use (maintenance and cutting) I would use this without question. Another side note is that pretty much anything made by ON is guaranteed quality so that has to be considered when determining your next Multi. Good luck.

I have gone through a couple bottles of this and I must say that its one of my favorite Fish Oils. They are enteric coated so you do not burp up Fish Oil nor do you have any sort of fishy taste afterwards. The pills actually smell like vanilla so are not at all unpleasant to take. I have pretty achy joints and taking this certainly helps to keep things lubricated as well as many other benefits of Omega 3's [fish oil contains important Omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and decosahexaenoic acid (DHA)] such as better brain function, hair and skin health, joint support, lowers ...

Based on cost alone, this product should be in everyone's daily arsenal of supplements since it has so many positives at a very low price. I highly recommend to anyone not already taking Fish Oils, to start and within a month I bet you'll be glad you did.

I received Gluta-Lyn 1500 a few weeks after it came out in hopes that it would be as effective as SciFit's Kre-Alkalyn and I have been very pleased. It was an even better investment since I got two bottle free when I ordered the new Prota-lyn from SciFit. The Gluta-lyn is great since it is an easy to take pill and I was tired of mixing the powder in my shakes and getting it everywhere. Gluta-lyn states that two pills (1.5g) is equal to taking "at least 7.5g of powdered glutamin". Gluta-lyn states that two pills (1.5g) is equal to taking "at least 7.5g of powdered glutamin". Although I not in 100% agreement with this statement, I will say that I have been taking 4 pills a day (sometimes 6 depending on workout time) and my recovery has been every bit as good as when I was taking 10g a day of the glutamine powder. Its easy to take, has no taste or smell and is effective. What else could you ask for? Oh yeah, its CHEAP! It's not as cheap as buying the 1000g tubs of powder, but if you look at total servings and intake, it's very cost effective and glutamine should be a staple in anyone's diet plan. I highly recommend this product.

To start off, I ran this supplement both with the A-stack and without. Right from day #1, this stuff worked, especially before bed. I had the most vivid dreams that I could remember in a very very long time. I often had difficulty taking this pre-workout since my working schedule and workout times conflict so finding time to take it on an empty stomach and before the gym was hard. When I did take it before workouts, I would agree that I had more endurance during my workouts but nothing startling. During my bulk, I gained 14lbs and PowerFULL was part of my stack so I'll throw some credit this way. Even though I wasn't able to take full advantage of it prior to working out, the sleep I had on it was worth every penny and I'm going to rotate this with ZMA from here on as it worked that well. As for its claims on HGH production, I can neither confirm nor deny but I recommend this for anyone looking for great rest and recovery.

To start, lets just say this is my favorite tasting of all the protein powders out there. I have tried dozens of proteins in various forms and this powder or RTD is worth every penny as far as taste goes, IMO. It is certainly not a light drink as it packs over 300 calories per 2 scoop serving and has way more fat than other drinks, however the fats are reported to be lean lipids which won't store as fat and may potentially help burn fat (jury still out on this one). I will say that it makes an excellent addition to a bulking diet as the fats will help slow digestion and uptake and the protein blend allows for longer periods of anabolism. It is not nearly as good of a blend as Pro Complex and costs just as much or more per serving, but the taste makes it hard to stay away from. In my arsenal of supplements, this feels like cheating. I don't recommend this for people cutting, nor for those looking to use this post-workout due to the fat content, but for the average individual looking for a great tasting, thick, shake, this is a good one to look at. Just be sure your diet plan will accommodate the calories and fat. One last point, this is also (by far) the best tasting protein mixed in water. Although most will recommend water or milk, this would probably be too thick in milk and the taste and texture was spot on in water alone so I never even tried it in milk.

In my opinion, this is simply put, the best protein blend out there and will work for anyone's goal. Bottom line is you need protein to build muscle and you need a steady supply to keep you anabolic. This blend has everything you need, fast/medium/slow digesting proteins to keep anabolism going for hours and at 60g per 2 scoop serving, it is very easy to make your protein intake goals. This protein does not contain unnecessary ingredients like many others. It has a great amount of BCAA's and glutamine and mixes just as easily as 100% Whey. I drink mine in milk (chocolate) and it tastes just like chocolate milk. I would not drink this in water as the taste would not be the same but the product is top notch in either medium. The only con I could come up with would be the price as it puts it out of range for a lot of people but you get what you pay for. This is not over-priced even though expensive because its worth every penny. There are far worse proteins out there at comparable cost. If you are looking to run a low-carb diet, this will help. Bulking? This will certainly help. Maintaining? Same thing. This is the #1 protein source in any stack I run and I recommend it highly to anyone looking for a quality blend.

This review will also pertain to the Myoplex RTD's. The overall taste of the protein powder is decent, nothing special but not bad by any means. It is a bit more expensive than a standard whey protein but also has much more carbs and some more fat than say 100% Whey. The added carbs and fat may add a bit to the taste but this also makes it an ok option for people looking for an easy meal replacement shake. The RTD's that drink are 14 oz and 25g of protein with 23g of carbs. It only comes in around 210 calories so it might be too light for a full meal replacement but worth adding for the convenience. The RTD is also not as tasty as other RTD's such as Muslce Milk or Syntha 6, however it is also the cheapest of the RTD's that I have found. Its protein comes from both milk and soy derivatives so there is a blend of proteins which help prolong anabolism but at only 25g of protein, its hard to determine how much protein of each source you are getting and you can utilize more of all of them I'm sure. All in all, it is a better (lower calorie) option than say Muscle Milk for those looking to lose weight, however the taste does not hold up to its competitors. The powder can be found pretty much anywhere and is relatively cheap so that is a definite plus. I personally would stick with ON for my regular protein needs but in a pinch, this is not a bad option for anyone other than those on a CKD diets where the carbs will hurt.

To start off, I've had back, elbow and shoulder surgeries varying from very serious to outpatient. After my latest shoulder surgery, I started taking glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM and continued taking it for over two months. It did not give immediate results, however after the second week (I loaded 9 caps a day for the first week) I started to wake up with less and less aching in my shoulder. After the 4th week, I was comfortable enough to get started back in the gym and I've been lifting now for 2 months straight with nothing more than a minor pain after a poorly performed exercise. I can not say that this will rid you of all your joint pains, however it keeps me in the gym and that is precisely why I bought it. After two months and going into my third bottle soon, I have to say this is the best overall joint supplement that I have taken. I think it is important to add that I also take plenty of Fish Oil and flax oil which certainly helps keeps the joints lubricated as well and for the price of it, you would certainly want to add it to this product as well. I recommend this to anyone suffering with recurring or ongoing joint pains and those looking to keep their joints healthy as a preventative supplement.

I've been waiting a bit to write this review as shortly after I finished my first tub, USP Labs released a new version with a slightly different ingredient profile. I thought the first one was excellent (lemon lime flavor) but the second one seems even better (tropical fruit punch flavor). I'm a 2-3 cup of coffee person in the mornings so I am pretty tolerant to caffeine and this product does not keep me up all night like many other pre-workouts and I take it as late as 6pm most nights. The energy from it is decent but the real advantage is the beta-alanine. The pumps were great for the first couple weeks but I admit I supplement with Supernos Pump for added arginine. I started out with one scoop pre-workout and it was all I needed for the first two weeks. I then felt I needed another 1/2 scoop and that did me well for another two weeks. I am now up to 2 scoops each time and its really all I've needed. I take 2 supernos pump with it 20 minutes before my workout and I've got tons of energy to burn and great pumps. The beta-alanine builds up in your system with continued use and really helps to keep the pH buffered in your muscle cells to keep you lifting longer. I've used Black Powder, NO Xplode, NO Shotgun, CreaDrive, Superpump 250 and a few others but this is my favorite by far. It has the least amount of ingredients, the smallest serving sizes and is the most effective. To add to this, it's also one of the cheapest ones I have used. I recommend this to anyone looking for a great pre-workout supplement whether you are a beginner or advanced. I'd also recommend starting out with one scoop and working your way up to a good working volume.

I bought a tub of this at walmart while waiting for my order to come in with my regular proteins. I figured for the price and decent profile, it couldnt be a waste. The taste of the product is average, nothing special yet not bad. It mixes rather well in regards to the protein, however my biggest complaint with this product is that the creatine does not mix in at all. This was a large issue I had before micro-ionized and monohydrate forms were available. For the price of the product, it can be expected that the creatine is very basic. It is not listed on most sites as containing creatine but it is in the "Recovery Complex". After shaking vigorously for several minutes in ambient temperature water, the crystals of creatine were still not dissolved and even after chugging, I was left with a mouth full of grit. I also noticed relative stomach pains (bloating) after consuming this and it is most likely because of the creatine as I had this issue with creatine when I first started taking it many years ago.
Overall I still rated this as a 7 because the price is very reasonable for the protein and for people that don't care about the creatine-grit, it is still a decent product. The taste is pretty good, however if you want a better protein with better mixing and taste, go with 100% Whey from Optimum Nutrition. ON proteins still provide the most bang for the buck and have excellent quality.
