There’s a lot of different shilajit supplements out there now, as many people everyday realise how effective it can be at improving your health. There’s clinical data now showing that shilajit is effective at improving immune function, energy metabolism and cognitive function dramatically.
The catch is that it’s actually really hard to extract into a powder form whilst retaining it’s bioactive compounds. This is why you’re more likely to find a resin, such as Better Alt’s offering.
All you to is take a small portion and mix it with water, coffee, or whatever else you might prefer. Some people dislike the taste and I’ve got to say, I absolutely understand. It has a very unpleasant earthy taste that penetrated through even my strongest espresso.
Now I know some people would prefer a quick summary, so I’ll just say now that I don’t recommend this product. I personally just didn’t really feel the effects as the taste made me feel sick. I’d instead recommend Prime Male’s Shilajit capsules, with an impressive 50% fulvic acid yield. This might be slightly less than better alt, but it’s a pill you can actually enjoy the effects instead of throwing it back up.
With a long list of uses in Ayurvedic medicine, Shilajit has been studied for it’s natural health benefits, and it’s honestly surprising how effective a compound like this can actually be. Shilajit has been found to fight against oxidative stress, improve memory, focus, and cognitive sharpness, elevate energy levels, and even help treat iron deficiencies and altitude sickness.
This is mainly due to Fulvic acid, the main bioactive compound in Shilajit. This is why you can see better alt mentioning their 75% fulvic acid yield in their marketing, as it’s a big part as to why Shilajit is effective.
This yield is great to see, and shows that they know what they’re doing. The only misstep here is that the flavour is just too much, and I’m not sure what to suggest for how they fix it, as being organic and natural is a big part of their brand.
Unfortunately it’s too much for me, and I’ve instead looked at the capsule supplement market to get my shilajit. It results in overall less fulvic acid content, but if you find the right product, such as Prime Male’s new shilajit capsule, then you can still find effective and impressive yields.
The customer reviews for Better Alt are mainly good, but are potentially riddled with bots and fake reviews. This is a common business practice, as no matter how obvious it may be, brands do benefit from good review scores. This results in a plethora of perfect reviews, so if you see a lot of 5 star raving reviews, it’s reasonable to proceed with some healthy skepticism.
With the amazon reviews this seems to be the case, with a 4 out of 5 overall rating that is made up of a majority of 5 star reviews. If you look at the common criticism, you guessed it, it’s people complaining about the taste and/or nausea. Some are also saying it’s more liquid than other shilajit supplements, but I didn’t find that was the case with my batch.
Trustpilot is often the best place to go for honest consumer feedback as they have much stricter bot detection. That said bots do get through, just in lower frequency, so Better Alt’s 65% perfect reviews is still a bit suspicious. In fact TrustPilot actually highly that, as here it’s only resulted in a 3.3 out of five.
Here the complaints are more focused on missing orders and poor customer service, with many complaining of having issues with refunds when their product failed to arrive.
Prime Male have got lots of great products for male health, and I’ve recently tried their new Shilajit capsules. They do come with less fulvic acid content than resin, but still provides a very impressive 50% yield. This is far more than you can typically find in other capsule shilajit supplements, so you can easily see why I’m recommending it.
Thanks to this impressive yield, Prime Male’s Shilajit supplement really surprised me with how energetic and sharp I felt. I was very productive when I was trying it out, showcasing how Shilajit is a fantastic choice if you’re interested in capsule supplements.
Surprisingly it’s high yield doesn’t come with the usual high price tag, offering a very competitively priced product here. It’s also made to the same high standard of all of Prime Male’s products, being manufactured in FDA approved, GMP-certified facilities.
Overall it’s just a great choice, allowing you to operate at your best without breaking the bank.
Shilajit is a natural substance found primarily in the Himalayan mountains. It is a mineral-rich resin that oozes from the rocks, formed over centuries from the decomposition of plant material and minerals. This unique substance has been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for centuries, celebrated for its potential health benefits.
Shilajit is believed to offer a range of health benefits. It is often touted for its ability to enhance energy levels, improve stamina, and support overall wellness. Many users report improved cognitive function, better recovery after physical exertion, and enhanced immunity. Additionally, it may help in managing stress and promoting better sleep.
Shilajit is typically available in resin, powder, or capsule form. The resin can be dissolved in warm water or milk for easy consumption, while the powder can be mixed into smoothies or other beverages. Capsules offer a convenient option for those who prefer not to taste the substance. It’s important to follow recommended dosages and consult with a healthcare provider if you have any underlying health conditions.
While shilajit is generally considered safe for most people when taken in appropriate doses, some individuals may experience side effects such as digestive upset or allergic reactions. It is essential to source high-quality shilajit from reputable suppliers to avoid contaminants. As with any supplement, consulting a healthcare professional before starting is advisable, especially for those with pre-existing conditions or who are pregnant or nursing.
When selecting a shilajit product, look for purity and authenticity. High-quality shilajit should be sourced from reputable suppliers who conduct rigorous testing for contaminants and ensure that it contains the necessary minerals and fulvic acid. Reading customer reviews and checking for third-party lab testing can also help in making an informed choice.
Shilajit may interact with certain medications or supplements, particularly those affecting blood sugar or blood pressure. It’s crucial to consult a healthcare professional before combining shilajit with other treatments to ensure safety and efficacy.
Whilst Better Alt’s product sucked me in with it’s impressive yield and organic base, what I experienced was about the opposite, spending the majority of my day experiencing distracting stomach cramps and nausea. If you’re interested in supplementing shilajit, then take my recommendation and try Prime Male’s capsule offering. It’s yield is still great, providing 250mg of fulvic acid in every dose, and without a nasty taste to endure.
