Quick Summary

Pumping you up and energizing you at a good price.

Introduction

After some poor experiences with stim-heavy pre-workouts, I've been sticking to lower-stim products with fully disclosed profiles. I enjoyed Rexx Sports' AminoAide, especially the patented glycerol HydroMax which is included in that product. Driven 2.0 also includes HydroMax and had an overall solid profile, so I opted in for a tub.

FYI I'm 34, a father of two, desk job, try to work out 4x a week. General goal to maintain my physique and exercise enough to excuse my whiskey-drinking habits.

Ingredient Profile

Driven 2.0 is a solid, well-rounded product. While the profile isn't particularly unique it does pack into each scoop a solid dose of the major pre-workout players e.g. Beta Alanine and Betaine, good hydration support with over 100mg of Sodium, Potassium, and Chloride, and a decent hit of stims primarily via 300mg of Caffeine. But the most impressive aspect of this product is its "pump" ingredients as each scoop includes a full 2mg of HydroMax, 1.5mg L-Citrulline, and 1g Agmatine Sulfate.

Most of the ingredients are dosed in an appropriate range. Some are a little light e.g. Agmatine which I like to see closer to 1.5mg per dose, but overall the profile is very complete. My only grip is the inclusion of Creatine Mono. It's just not needed. If I want to supplement Creatine, I'm going to do so separately.

Taste/Mixability/Dosing

I received the Pink Lemonade flavor which pretty good. Very sharp and tangy, but I like those types of flavors. Did sometimes agitate the back of my throat given it is so tart, but nothing unusual.

Wow. The CLUMPS. It's extreme with this product. Having had this exact same issue with AminoAide, I think it's safe to say this is a side effect of the inclusion of Hydromax. The powder clumps up solidly in the tub and will need to be regularly broken apart using a fork. You'll have to focus on pushing the powder into the full space of the scooper manually. Yes, it's a pain, but as the tub itself states: "clumps = pumps".

Once the product actually hits water it dissolves relatively easily. I sometimes had a little residue in the bottom of my shaker bottle, but no further clumping or foaming. For dosing, I generally sipped down one scoop in 12oz. water on my way to the gym; roughly 20-30 minutes preworkout.

Effectiveness

Driven hits all the preworkout bases, but is particularly effective in producing a quality pump. I'm not really a pump-chaser btw. I enjoy it, but am primarily focused on the energy provided by a preworkout product. That said I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this aspect of Driven. Within about three sets I'd look and feel noticeably tighter and more swole. I'd get deep aches working certain muscle groups, particularly triceps, which felt fantastic and like I was really crushing the muscle. This was definitely one of the best pump-inducing preworkouts I've tried recently.

The energy from Driven was also on point. I find 300mg of caffeine to be my typical sweet-spot, and Driven hit that mark right on. No crash or jitters or any of the negative side effects I sometimes experience from stim-heavy products. I also found Driven's hydration support to be beneficial. In addition to getting me up and ready to lift, my stamina was on point. I'm always running an intra-workout BCAA product, so I am not stating that Driven was the sole purpose behind my improved stamina, but I do think it played a role.

Maybe the only slight downside to Driven is in the "focus" category. Not saying this product performs poorly on this front - it doesn't. But it's not as strong here as it is in the other two categories or in comparison to some competitors. I did not find myself experiencing those "tunnel vision" or hyper-focused workouts. Again, not really a con for me, just felt it worth mentioning.

Value

The industry average for preworkouts, from my research, is right around $1.00 per serving. If you want to go for a product that touts high quality, clinically dosed ingredients (Outlift for example) you can expect to pay upwards of $1.50 per scoop.

Currently the best price I can find for Driven is on Amazon at $23 for 25 scoops / .92c per serving. Since this is a solid, one-scoop preworkout that, as stated, is effective on multiple fronts, I find this to be a very competitive and fair price point.

Side Effects

None.

Conclusion

Rexx Sports has a solid, well-performing, versatile, effectively dosed, competitively priced product in Driven 2.0. Absolutely a preworkout I would recommend to lifters of all ages and experiences, and certainly worth a look if you're wanting an all-in-one product with a relatively simple stimulant profile.

Quick Summary

A solid and well rounded preworkout.

Introduction

Hey SR here today to review the preworkout Driven 2.0 by Rexx Sports Nutrition. I work out at 5 am before going to work, so I always have a preworkout on hand to motivate me in the gym and bust through the sets and cardio. Also, because I work afterwards I definitely need a preworkout that gives me energy without the crash afterwards. I was very pleasantly surprised at this product and here is the review.

Ingredient Profile

Great job Rexx Sports for a fully transparent label. This preworkout addresses all of the concerns that a preworkout needs in terms of energy, endurance, pumps, etc. For energy we get a nice dose of 300 mg of caffeine, 1600 mg of Carnosyn for endurance, 2 g of Hydromax, 1.5 g of citrulline and 1 g of agmatine for pumps. Some minerals for electrolytes, some tyrosine for focusand yohimbine thrown in there as well. Lots of ingredients, some under dosed (Carnosyn), but lots of familiar names at good doses to improve your workouts.

Taste/Mixability/Dosing

They warn you on the label and lid, this clumps bad because of the hydromax and they weren't lying. Kind of hard to make sure you got a full scoop because of the clumping. Once inw ater though it mixed well. Dosing is standard preworkout, and the flavor of pink lemonade was a nice balance of sweet and sour.

Effectiveness

Overall, this was a great preworkout. The energy was immediate and strong without a crash. The focus was great as well. The energy was consistent and helped with the endurance, but I did miss the beta alanine some as the reps and sets got a little tough at the end of the workout. The strongest part of this preworkout is by far the pumps though. The big dose of hydromax and supporting ingredients really delivered a nice pump every time. This preworkout just did a great job everytime of motivating me in the gym and helping my workouts with energy, focus, and pumps.

Value

$25 for 25 servings is a very nice value at $1/serving. I'd like the more standard 30 serving tub but at $1/serving for the ingredients and effectiveness this is a great bargain.

Side Effects

None.

Conclusion

A great preworkout to help you in the gym, especially in terms of energy, focus, and pump.

Quick Summary

This is a great stimulant pre-workout for those who use it every day and I recommend to those who only use a stimulant now and then.

Introduction

I wanted to give a big thanks to Rexxx Sports Nutrition for letting me try your Drive 2.0. I have used pre-workouts in the past but I have taken a break because I believe energy increased every day is not good. I saw Drive 2.0 available for review on SR (and as always, thank you SR) and it was going fast, so I decided to jump on it before it was gone. I now know why people wanted it. This is a good product to try.

Ingredient Profile

Some ingredients are found in other energy or pre-workout supplements, but as with other supplements, the ingredients and amount change. Here are the ingredients and amount.

Calories 5
Total carb 1 g
Vitamin B
Sodium 103 mg
Chloride 154 g
Potassium 100 mg
Creatine Monohydrate 2500 mg
HydroMax (Glycerol) 2000 mg
Beta-Alanine 1600 mg
Betaine Anhydrous 1500 mg
Citrulline 1500 mg
Armatine Sulfate 1000 mg
Caffeine Anhydrous 300 mg
N-Acetul L-Tyrosine 250 mg
Norvaline 50 mg
Yohimbe 20 mg
Mucuna Pruriens 17 mg

Creatine monohydrate has benefits of increased muscle levels, increased work capacity, improved training, and greater increases in lean body mass. Glycerol is for weight loss, improving exercise performance, replace water lost during exercise, and to keep from becoming dehydrated. Beta-Alanine is an amino acid that helps muscle fatigue. Betaine is an amino acid that can help with weight loss, muscle growth, fight heart disease, and define the body. L-Citrulline is an amino acid and becomes L-arginine in the kidneys that boosts nitric oxide. Agmatine sulfate breakdowns arginine and does many things that arginine should do, but is more effective. It can produce muscle pumps and more calories are shuttled towards muscle tissue and less are stored as fat. Caffeine is straight forward and is found in teas and coffee. Tyrosine is to help with brain function, increase focus, and can help performance, even during stress. Norvaline is a water-soluble amino acid which is a branched chain amino acid (it is associated with Valine) that will cause the blood vessels to stimulate nitric oxide production to muscles with oxygen. Norvaline is a booster to increase workout power and recovery, which may give you a pump when used with arginine. Yohimbe is bark from a tree in Africa and dilates the blood vessels. Mucuna Pruriens is legume and can help the brain and increases focus. These ingredients do work together to give you energy and a pump. All the ingredients seem fine, so I give it a good rating.

Taste/Mixability/Dosing

I was able to get this in pink lemonade which doesn't really taste like pink lemonade. The taste was enjoyable so no problems. Mixability was good and the product broke down well. I did have a problem with scooping. It was like play dough mixed with beach sand (may not make sense but the best way I can explain). It was not clumpy, but it was hard to scoop all into the scooper. I was not be able to fill the scooper up all the way so sometimes my scooper would over flow. One time I pressed down on it and it would fill up, but it was hard to get it out of the scooper. This is not the worst clumpy supplement I have had, so it was not a problem for me.
The dosing is one scoop that I mixed with 8 oz of water and I consumed it 30 minutes before workout. I had no problems with the taste, mixability, or dosing, so I give it a good review.

Effectiveness

Drive 2.0 says it will help with energy, strength, endurance, and pump. I felt it delivered on 3 of those 4 things. The Drive 2.0 did exactly what I was looking for. I would always have enough energy and focus to get me through a workout. The first week I felt the tingle in my body every now and then which is what you may feel like other pre-workouts. This is good for me because I do not like that feeling all the time. I did increase weights as I worked out and never a day of fewer weights. I really enjoyed the endurance needed to get through a long and hard workout. I never had an issue with not finishing the workout and I want to keep that energy going regardless if it is 30 minutes or 1.5 hours. The downfall with Drive 2.0 is when I got down to the last few servings, the energy did go down but I never got to a point where I would stop my workout. I just did not have as much energy on day 25 verses day 1, but I think that is a common issue with most pre-workout supplements. Effectiveness was great. The one issue I had was the claim of giving you a pump. I never did get that pump I was hoping for. For me, this is a minor issue because I was not taking Drive 2.0 for pump but more for energy. A big positive for me was I never dealt dehydrated and thirsty. I did make sure to have plenty of water for my workout but sometimes a pre-workout can leave you feeling dehydrated regardless of how much water you drink, so that was a fantastic. I give this a high rating for effectiveness.

Value

This was available on Amazon at $17 for 30 servings which is $.57 per servings. This price is wonderful because some pre-workouts can get high. Normally when taking a pre-workout, I get it for $1 per serving and this is almost half the cost, so I give it a great rating.

Side Effects

None

Conclusion

Drive 2.0 is a great pre-workout. I give this a high-ranking. The ingredients were good. The taste, mixability, and dosing were nice. It was effective but it did start to wear off about serving 25. The value is high due to the cost being lower than others. Side effects were not an issue. If the product stays at $17, they can have a great future and be a part of my daily workout.

A pretty solid pre workout. If you are in need of a all in one, try this out.

    Introduction

First I would like to thank Rexx Sports Nutrition and the Troops for providing me with an opportunity to try this product. I have been lifting weights for around 20 years and I am rarely in the gym without a pre workout. I decided to try Driven 2.0 because the simple fact that the product claims to be an all in one product. Energy, Strength, Endurance, and Pump. It had me and pump, so I jumped on board to test drive. Taste/Mixability/Dosing

I was given Pink Lemonade to try out. I will tell you right now, If it wouldn't kill me, I would drink that whole container! The taste reminded me of Country time Lemonade. It was delicious!

    Mixability
The product blended well with the water when shaken. No clumps or residue left over.

    Dosing
This was straightforward and standard as most pre workouts go. I was to mix 1 scoop with 8 oz of water and drink 15-30 minutes before training. Suggestions were to mix 1/2 scoop and never more than one scoop in a 24 hour period of time.

    Effectiveness

    8.0/10
Taking one full scoop prior to my gym time provided me with a great experience. It took around 20 minutes for me, after taking, to start noticing the "drive factor" that I want in the gym. When it hit though, it was noticeable. This product is the only caffeine supplement I am currently taking, so it had a positive effect on my results. Over the course of the month, My endurance had increased. My focus in the gym was on par with what I needed. My pumps were increasing each workout. I am naturally vascular, but it seemed they popped just a little more than usual. I was able to trot longer on the treadmill without extreme fatigue. This was noticeable because I have not done a whole lot of cardio since I quit running half marathons in 2014. I was able to pop out about 6 miles without stopping by the end of the month. My bench press has increased as well. I was able to accomplish 315x6 at the end of a complete set of bench. I felt strong and energized throughout the day as well. I did not experience any crash from taking this. No remember, results are not always going to be the same with everyone, but for me they were pretty good!

    Value

    8.0/10
I was able to find this product on Amazon for 16.95 which is about 68 cents per serving. This is a pretty good deal to me. It is definitely a price for people on a budget and want to try something different.

    Side Effects

I did not experience any side effects from taking this product.

    Conclusion

    8/10
Overall, I was completely satisfied from Driven 2.0. I came into the trial with high expectations. While I wasn't an "Arnold" or a beast in the gym from taking it, I did have some really good workouts. I gave it a solid 8 because it met my criteria for a preworkout and delivered a month worth of hard workout energy, it was not expensive, and I did not experience and negative side effects. If its time for a pre workout purchase, you need to jump on the tracks and take Driven 2.0 for a spin.
