Quick Summary

Natural Energy drink

Introduction

As some of you already know, I don't live in USA and have to order all supplements via international transportation companies. For me personally prices of all products are crucial and I actively monitor all the deals available to purchase bestsellers. Optimum Nutrition Whey and Amino Acids complexes are always bestsellers, but for me it seemed more expensive to purchase Amino Energy Powder. But I had an opportunity to visit Iceland this summer and only there I found this energy drinks.

Ingredient Profile

All amino acids listed here are used for biosynthesis of protein and for many other important processes in your body as well, Caffeine and Micronized Taurine are elements responsible for boosting energy levels. Sodium Citrate (E331) is a food additive, usually for flavor or as a preservative. Malic Acid is natural substance can convert carbohydrates into energy and is beneficial in treating various health conditions such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrom, Citric Acid is a natural preservative and is also used to add an acidic (sour) taste to foods and soft drinks, Magnesium Phosphate salts are most commonly used for bowel cleansing, low blood levels of phosphate, constipation, high blood levels of calcium, and heartburn. Potassium benzoate (E212), the potassium salt of benzoic acid, is a food preservative that inhibits the growth of mold, yeast and some bacteria, Potassium sorbate is a chemical additive. It's widely used as a preservative in foods, drinks, and personal care products. Potassium chloride is used to prevent or to treat low blood levels of potassium (hypokalemia). Potassium levels can be low as a result of a disease or from taking certain medicines, or after a prolonged illness with diarrhea or vomiting. Tartaric acid is an important food additive that is commonly combined with baking soda to function as a leavening agent in recipes. It can be used in all kinds of foods except untreated foods.

Taste/Mixability/Dosing

Amino Energy Sparkling RTD is produced in cans, making them very easy to drink, except those who rarely drink carbonated water. Taste seemed a bit sweet for me, but didn't stop using it for six consecutive days. As Label says, it includes only 5 grams of Amino Acid Blends, not enough to recover completely from heavy weight lifting. If it didn't contain stimulants, then I guess we would be available to drink 3-4 cans without problem even at night.

Effectiveness

During my visit to Iceland I had to walk at least 15 km per day and couldn't follow restricted calorie diet (not recommended from my experience, stress is largest enemy to diet and weight loss). I drank this Amino Acids everyday and was always physically ready for new adventures, my muscles preserved, didn't gain wait and always stayed focused.

Value

On Amazon.com you can purchase 12 such drinks for $23.74 ($1.98 Per Serving), on vitaminshoppe.com for $27.99 ($2.33 Per serving). It seems quiet affordable for me, but as locals said: "There is no such thing as cheap in Iceland", so I had to pay approximately $4 per drink(479 Icelandic Krna)

Side Effects

None of them.

Conclusion

Products like this can never substitute Amino Acids powder, but if you still have to consume some energized or caffeinated drinks during the day, Amino Energy Sparkling RTD is natural and absolutely safe option. Whenever travelling, it might not seem comfortable to take amino acids powder jar with you (even though it's cheaper), so you can purchase in local markets these cold energy drinks and use in the morning and mid-day.
Flavors:
