Ingredients

Main ingredient here is 1-lauroyl-glycerol which is also known as Monolaurin or glycerol monolaurate. My initial research on this ingredient was a little confusing because in food it acts as a preservative, but for pharmaceutical uses it has anti-bacterial and anti-viral benefits. The latter explains the immune system boosting, but nowhere could I find how this could have increased muscle pump benefits. Perhaps it is all in the TetraSorb Delivery system? I seriously doubt it. This gimmicky term merely refers to the capsule casing surrounding the magical mystery ingredients. For many of you, the ingredients mean nothing anyways. The real meat and potatoes is how it performs. For that info, keep reading.....

-----------

Dosage

---------------
Label states to take 3 caps pre-workout which is what I did for about 2 weeks until I went and got myself injured. Being down for a while I started getting those nagging (but necessary) pokes from the SR system asking if I'd finished taking the product yet. Of course I hadn't, but decided to do the right thing and explain the situation to the rep. It was at this time I noticed their message stating I could take up to 5 caps per dose. So, once I was well enough to work out again, I jumped right into the 5 cap dosage and I am so glad I did! More to follow below under "Effectiveness".

-----------

Taste / Mixing

------
They're easy to swallow TetraSorb capsules (wow, that does sound fancy!) with no harsh chemical burps once your stomach acid bursts them open for digestion.

-----------

Effectiveness

-------
At the recommended dose of 3 caps pre-workout I can say that I absolutely, kind of, well, maybe, noticed some minor pump effect. Ok, I'd like to think I did. We all know how strong the placebo effect can be and that may be the case here. It wasn't until I upped the dose to 5 caps that the pump effect became very noticeable. My normal higher rep workouts proved an obvious increase in vascularity coupled with tight skin as the muscles became engorged with blood. (whoa, did i just slip into a Viagra commercial?) In all seriousness though, I honestly would not be going out on a limb by stating that the pumps I experienced were among the best of any other pump product I've used. And after all the supps i've tried over the years, that is really saying something.

Now as far as the claims of assisting my immune system go, I can say that I didn't get sick while using this product. A second note of particular interest is that I did notice a decrease in needed hay fever allergy medication this season. Far less than any year i can remember since moving to the Las Vegas area. Is this due to the product or my perhaps a light allergy season? I truly can't say.

How about the claims of increased muscle growth? If they are referring to my muscles getting packed with blood during a workout as growth, then absolutely. If they are referring to measurable differences with calipers or a body composition scale, then I say no. My weight and body composition hovered right at 215 lbs and 16% body fat the entire time I was on this product.

However, regardless of discernible immune system boosting or true measurable muscle growth I can honestly say that I enjoyed this product and do miss it now that it's gone.

-----------

Sides

----------------
Harsh bicep pump following workout that may cause physical pain while attempting to get a tooth brush into your mouth or razor to your face.
Seriously, this is the true sign of an effective pump product for me and i welcome it!

-----------

Value

----------------
At the time of this review, a 90 count bottle could be purchased for $26. Not bad for what I consider an unnecessary luxury workout product. Of course the real value here is for the smaller individual that can get away with the minimum 3 cap dose gaining them a full 30 workouts worth of product. For those of us requiring 5+ caps, the term luxury is more of a reality than a desirable necessity.

-----------

Final Words

--------
Now the real question based on label name.
DID THIS PRODUCT PRODUCE PUMPS THAT LASTED A FULL 24 HOURS?
Sadly the answer is no.
OK OK, BUT DID IT LAST 12 HOURS?
Sadly again the answer is no.
As a matter of fact, I did not notice muscle fullness beyond that of any other workout whether taking a pump product or not.

I'm afraid the title is merely a well played gimmick to get you to buy the product and honestly, it's a good ploy. I mean who doesn't want to look like they just got done working out every second of every day? I sure as hell know I would love to! However. regardless of pump duration, i can honestly say that this was a good product that i truly enjoyed and is worthy of your consideration.

Thanks to the Nutraceutical Innovations' rep for sending out 24HR Pump and Mono Pump. This review is for the all-day version of the two, the aptly named 24HR Pump.

    INGREDIENT PROFILE: D
On the bright side, there seems to be only one active ingredient: 650mg of 1-Lauroyl-glycerol, or Monolaurin. However, it's the exact same ingredient in the exact same dose for both Mono and 24HR pump. Whether that's a positive or a negative remains to be seen, however in both instances it is the only ingredient mentioned in the main body of the Supplement Facts table. I found this odd, to say the least. The big difference lies in the "Other Ingredients" portion, where 24HR Pump has a whole host of what I could only discern as "stuff". Not quite fillers, but I'm curious as to why some of these ingredients didn't make it up to the main body of the Supplement Facts, seeing as how some of them are supposed to work towards supporting certain claims the product makes.
As for the ingredient themselves, they mostly support the claim of 24HR Pump being an "immune system booster." Monolaurin, the seemingly lone ingredient worthy of mention, seems to be "one of the most popular nutrients to assist in combating various viruses." However, these viruses include things like measles and a lot of herpes. Okay. Oh, and it's popular in things deodorant. (http://www.wellnessresources.com/health/articles/monolaurin_a_natural_immune_boosting_powerhouse/, http://www.livestrong.com/article/529477-what-is-monolaurin/)
All that being said, I had troubles locking down the ingredient responsible for the "extreme muscle fullness" or the "enhanced muscle growth". So

    DOSING: C
Dosing on the label states you can take up to 3 caps, either first thing in the morning on non-training days or 25 minutes pre-workout. However, the reps informed me that 5 caps is where others have noticed results. I don't know if the "others" were beta-testers of other reviewers like myself, but I feel the label should have or should be amended to reflect this new information.

    EFFECTIVENESS: D
Initially I started out at the supposed max of 3 caps per day. I'm a bigger guy, so I figured I should start at the top. Once the note was added to the ER Control Panel, I started taking 5 caps.
In either case, I noticed little to nothing. I was dealing with a bit of a head cold at the time, but I contribute any success in combating it to the Mucinex and Allegra I was taking. As for pumps, 3 caps yielded diddly squat. At 5 caps I began to notice something, but barely anything to be honest.
All in all, it was unfortunately a dud.

    VALUE: F
    It's not good.
Each bottle contains 90 caps, and will cost roughly $32.99, and I believe one other retailer carries it at roughly $30.99.
At three caps, that $33 for a 30-day supply. At the reported effective dose of 5 caps, that slightly more than two weeks. Even if it did work, that's $60 for a month's supply at least. Since I would undoubtedly need a little more than 5 caps in the future (bodyweight ranges from 265-270), the price is just out of the question.

    OVERALL: D
Top to bottom 24HR Pump just didn't work for me. Maybe I should've been slamming 7 or caps like I did with Yok3d way back when, but that no way to live.

    Introduction

Per usual, a special thanks to Nutraceutical Innovations for their support for the SR/TROOPs program. Today, I will be reviewing my experience with their pump product 24hr pump. 24hr pump is formulated with one premier ingredient designed to provide a full swole pump effect as well as some added immunity benefits based on the anti-microbial nature of the ingredient.

    Ingredient Profile

As I just mentioned, 24hr pump has one prime ingredient:

1-Lauroyl-glycerol at a dosage of 650mg per capsule. As part of what they refer to as "testrasorb technology", 24hr pump also contains a combination of Stigmast-5-en-3-ol Beta-D Glucoside, 6,7 Dihydroxy-5-Geranoxypsoralen, 1-[5-(1,3-Benzo-dioxol-5-yl)-1-oxo-2,4-pentadienyl]piperdine. Clearly this addition is to aid in delivery. I won't discuss these ingredients since they are irrelevant to the product's main focus.

As for the main ingredient, 1-Lauroyl-glycerol is a chemical compound derived from coconut milk. It is boasted primarily to have significant immune enhancing properties related to its actions associated with its interactions with disease causing agents; mostly bacterial.

As part of its glycerol chemical composition, the compound provides its pump properties by binding to water and drawing it ino muscle tissue thus increasing cell volume and overall muscle fullness feel. In a way, it works in a similar concept to creatine.

    Taste/Mixability/Dosing

Taste and mixability do not apply since this supplement is in capsule form.

Dosing in my opinion will take some experimenting with for both amount and timing. The bottle recommends 2-3 capsules a day. However, per advice from the rep that was given to me, individuals weighing over 175 lbs should dose 4-5 caps. I am glad I was informed of this because for me, 5 caps was the sweet spot. For timing, I would take 3 caps in the morning about 30 minutes before breakfast, and another two caps pwo. On non-training days, I would just take all five in the morning. It didn't really seem to make too much of difference which way I took them. I am just always an advocate for variability in dosing. Also, I made sure that these were taken on a mostly empty stomach either sometime before or after meals. I am not sure if taking the product with food would make much of a difference though.

    Effectiveness

When analyzing the pump effects of this product I would say without hesitation, that this product did deliver. I had a nice consistent "swole" feeling throughout the day that was felt within my entire body and not just trained muscles. My vascularity was more pronounced in my chest, legs, and upper back areas most noticeably. I also enjoyed the complimenting factor it provided with my PWO supplementation of engorge by primeval labs.

As for immune benefits, this one is hard to gauge because I wasn't taking the product for that purpose and wasn't paying much attention to that. I will note that I noticed some improvement in my skin tone in terms of fewer acne breakouts and the healing of some existing ones. Also, I never fell ill while using this, which is good because when you're in Nursing college, you deal with sick people all the time, so it helps to keep your immune system stronger. In all, it's safe to say, the immune system benefits were there.

    Value

This is hard to gauge primarily because I feel the value depends mainly on how many caps you use. 24hr pump is not widely availble and I was only able to find it for sale directly from NI's website at a list price of 35 dollars for a 90 cap bottle. If you find that you only need 2-3 caps, then you've got a full month's supply. At 35 dollars, that isn't a bad deal considering the effectiveness.

However, if you require 4-5 caps as I did, then this dips the value score. 4-5 caps means the bottle will last a little more than half a month. While effective, a dosage range and price tag in this scenario makes 24hr pump a potentially expensive investment.

Again, be sure to experiment with the dosage and see if you can indeed react to a smaller dosage.

    Side Effects

    None

    Conclusion

The value will vary depending on users' dosage preferences, I feel that 24hr pump is a solid product. Having the feeling of a continuous swole and pump throughout your body lasting through the day is much welcomed. The increased vascularity and the immune system enhancing benefits are also great bonuses. My take home messages are to experiment with the dosages and try to catch this product on a deal if possible.
