These are the furious goku gains you will want.
    —-Introduction—-
First off I want to thank Furious Formulations and Furious Pete for letting us troopers have the chance to give this product a try. This was another product from Furious Pete I had been wanting to try since I heard he had released this. I had been hearing how intense this was suppose to be and could not wait to see if this held true to what I was hearing.

    —-Ingredient Profile—-
Here is some important stuff I found on their website that really breaks down the ingredients in this pretty well and had to share it.

L-Citrulline (Malate 1:1) 4000 mg is an amino acid that is turned into L-arginine in the kidneys after supplementation, which means L-citrulline supplementation is a more effective method of increasing L-arginine levels and thus Nitric Oxide in the body than L-arginine supplementation. Think of Citrulline as a “super pump” ingredient.

Ancient Peat, Apple extract elevATP 150 mg is a proprietary, clinically researched combination of a water extract of “ancient peat” (fossilized plants) and apple extract that works with our natural energy-producing mechanisms to stimulate production of ATP, the energy currency of the body, which is clinically proven to Help improve athletic performance and strength.

Agmatine Sulfate 500mg is derived from L-arginine through decarboxylation (the removal of a carboxylic acid group). It is stored in neurons and is released during neuronal activation. Agmatine is considered to be a neurotransmitter and anecdotally , to enduce greater muscular pumps

    Betaine Anhydrous Beta-Power 2500 mg

Trimethylglycine (TMG) is a molecule which, structurally, is the amino acid Glycine with three methyl groups attached to it, known as a ‘betaine’. used for increased intracellular concentrations of betaine promote cell hydration and resilience to stressors. Clinical studies show marked increases in strength.

Taurine 1000 mg is not bull urine, it is an organic acid with a sulfur in it. It is found in foods, in highest amounts in meats, and is a heart and blood healthy agent . Its most well known usage is to reduce cramping caused by combination of stimulats and training

Nitrosigine as Inositol Stabalized Arginine Silicate 500 mg patented complex of bonded arginine silicate and is scientifically engineered to significantly boost nitric oxide levels, delivering benefits to those engaged in fitness training programs such as improved muscular pump and enahnced output

Danshen Extract (Salvia miltiorrhiza) 250mg is an asian herb historically known to have beneficial effects on the circulatory system, which for those engaged in weight training, will notice an improved muscular pump, by aiding the other Nitric Oxide ingredients

Choline Bitartrate 300 mg Choline is a molecule mostly used for either its cognitive boosting properties (turning into acetylcholine, the learning neurotransmitter), which prolongs mental focus and accuity

Caffeine Anhydrous 350 mg is a chemical found in coffee, tea, cola, guarana, mate, and other products. Caffeine is most commonly used to improve mental alertness, and sympathetic nervous system metabolic energy.

Hordenine HCL 50mg is an adrenergic-like compound and is used as a rapidly responding mental stimulant.

Vitamin C (ascrobic acid) 250mg is used to combat infections, colds, and disease. Vitamin C is also used by your body in all kinds of healing, and to reduce training-induced muscular inflammation.

Pycnogenol dried French Maritime pine extract (bark) [std. to 65% procyanidins] 100 mg

Known as Pine Bark Extract; Pycnogenol is usedfor its ability to enhance Nitric Oxide and provide greater pumps during workouts.

Huperzine A 50 mcg is a cognitive enhancer that inhibits an enzyme that degrades the learning neurotransmitter, acetylcholine, and thus fights off mental fatigue during training

N-methtyl-l-tyramine HCL 25mg also known as 4-hydroxy-N-methylphenethylamine, is a human trace amine (tyramine) and natural phenethylamine alkaloid. It’s basically like EPHEDRINE’s little brother.

Teacrine 25mg has energy boosting effects similar to caffeine without the jitters, crash, and habituation that often accompanies caffeine.

    2-aminoisoheptane (DMHA or Octodrine) 50mg

DMAA’s chemical cousin. Known as 2-aminoisoheptane, Octodrine, and 2-amino-6- methylheptane, this stimulant has about 80% of DMAA’s strength, for producing mental stimulation.

    —-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
I had the Yummy Gummy Gasms flavor. WOW was this good. This was something I really enjoyed a lot and really looked forward to drinking this each time. There is no chemical or weird after taste to this at all. You will really notice that gummy taste to it right away. It was not to heavy on taste or to light. Seemed to have just the right taste to it.

Mixing was pretty simple and had no issues with it mixing at all. Very little foam at all when mixed. What I did like is when it was mixed up it had a light yellowish cloudy like color to it mean very limited amounts of dyes where used.

All you will need is one scoop. I felt more than enough off of this at 1 scoop and felt there was no need to do more than one scoop. I would say if your a bit stim sensitive I would start out with maybe half a scoop or so and work your way up to one full scoop. Since I have been taking a lot of different pre-workouts for awhile now I am pretty use to higher amounts of stims so taking one scoop did not bother me much at all.

    —-Effectiveness—-
What I noticed right away was the smooth clean like energy this gave me. While I was taking this I never felt real jittery or cracked out at all even though this is a little higher on stims. I felt this was a good steady like energy it gave me and it seemed to last me through out my whole workouts. On days when I felt real tire or more sluggish like this seemed to help get me going better since I normally workout later in the afternoon after I get done with work. I think since I have been taking a lot of different pre-workouts for awhile now this did not hit me as hard as it maybe would have if I have not been on any stims for awhile. I know for some people who have not used much for stims this may hit you rather hard. I would say maybe back off a little on this to start with and work your way up to a full scoop.

I did notice some decent pumps from this. It was nothing real crazy like but enough to notice something. I thought the overall focus this gave me was really good. I felt that once I started to get locked into my workouts I could feel this really helping me to block out a lot of other distractions I might have and felt I was able to better concentrate on my workouts more. I think the overall focus part was a plus to have and was really noticeable.

How much did this help me on strength gains well it was kind of interesting. I was noticing some strength gains but it was nothing real crazy like. Since there is no creatine in this it is a little harder to notice good strength gains. I do think with the way this helped me perform and feel better in the gym helped me a lot more so at the strength gains I was getting and I was ok with what I was getting. Yea I like to have some creatine in my pre-workouts to help with better performance and strength gains but then again I do understand why some people don’t want it.

I found this to be really good on my stomach and never caused me any unwanted gut issues. I know sometime if certain ingredients are used or there is to much for ingredients can cause me a bit of upset stomach but with this that never happened at all which was really nice. I felt I was able to put on a little more size and I noticed I was a little more cut looking. My overall weight never really went up a real lot while I was on this but it looks like I had a lot more fullness in my muscles.

    —-Value—-
Right now the only place you can get this is on there website and they want $39.99 for 20 servings. For 2o servings I think this is a little high. If they would up this to 30 servings (which more pre-workouts have) then the price would be a not as bad. I really would like to see if possible some other sites start carrying this product line.

    —-Side Effects—-
    Nothing I noticed.

    —-Conclusion—-
Overall I was rather pleased with this product and how it performed. I think Furious Pete has a pretty solid and effective product and feel this is a very much worth giving a try. I would say just be a little careful when you first start taking this but only if your someone that is a little sensitive on higher amounts of stims. I give them a lot of credit for not only making a very effective product but a product that you will really enjoy drinking and not have to dread wanting to drink each time. I would like to see the price either dropped a bit or up the servings to at least 30. I would for sure be more than happy to give this another try and would like to try the other flavors they have. With this flavor yummy gummy and the grape I had in their amino product being so good I am sure the other flavors they have would probably be pretty good also. Not sure if Pete will ever brand out and try and get his products on some other sites but I would like to see that happen in the near future. I think it would help lower the prices a little. Again I want to give a big shout out to Furious Formulations and Furious Pete for making this product and letting me have the chance to try it.

High Intensity, High Energy, High Stim!
    —-Introduction—-
    (About yourself, 1-3 sentences maximum)
I’d Like to thank FuriousPete and Furious Formulations for the opportunity to try out Goku Gains through the trooper program. I have been training for years, and those of you who follow my reviews know that I like my pre workouts, in particular, high stim pre workouts. Needless to say, I was excited to get my hands on this one, and it did not disappoint.

    —-Ingredient Profile—-
    Calories: 15
    Carbs: 4g
    -sugars: 2g
    Vitamin C: 250mg
    Calcium: 28mg
    Sodium: 5mg

    Furious Mind-Muscle Connection Matrix
    L-Citrulline Malate: 4000mg
-It is citrulline with magic aside bonded to it to give stability in the body. It is promoted as a fatigue fighter, providing the user with extra reps, or sets before the muscle tires out. Malate is also thought to have some fatigue-fighting abilities, hence why it is usually added. Citrulline also promotes muscle fullness through blood flow, but is usually more potent at higher dosages on its own.

    Betaine Anhydrous: 2500mg
-Often called trimethylglycine(TMG), it is derived from the breakdown of choline. It may boost muscle strength and size by increasing creatine production in the body. It can also increase change of muscle protein synthesis following training. It is also linked with muscle fullness and cellular fluid volume.

    Taurine: 1000mg
-Can help increase focus, increase muscular strength, increase muscle endurance, optimize cellular hydration and reduce muscle breakdown.

Nitrosigine (as inositol stabilized arginine silicate): 500mg
-It is a complex of bonded asinine silicate that has been proven to increase nitric oxide and silicon blood levels in the human body. It should be consumed daily at 750mg to 1500mg to increase vasodilation and cardiovascular health.

    Agmatine Sulfate: 500mg
-inhibits nitric oxide synthase for improved muscle pumps. Promotes better intra
workout energy and is also strongly linked in aiding mental clarity. Companies are including anywhere from 500mg to 1000mg, with 1g seeming to be the sweet spot.

    Caffeine Anhydrous:350mg
-Pure powdered form of caffeine. Linked to many benefits like increased fat loss, muscle endurance, muscle strength and power and faster recovery. 350mg is a pretty high dose, especially when you consider the other stimulants added below. Beginners may want to assess their tolerance.

    Choline Bitartate: 300mg
It is used to increase neural concentration, helping with focus during training. It provides the nervous system with more acetylcholine, giving you that mind-muscle connection and stronger contractions. It enhances cognitive function, boosts memory and mental focus.

    Salvia miltiorrhiza(containing tanshinones & salvianolic acid): 250mg
-This is a first for me. I could not find much information on this ingredient other than it can be used as NO boosters, along side creatine to further the muscle building process. I welcome any further information anyone may have on this.

ElevATP (ancient peat and apple extract): 150mg
-It has a positive impact on elevating energy production in the body by stimulating the production of ATP. It leads to increases in athletic performance, power output and training volume. In turn, it can lead to improved body composition through increased muscle growth.

French Maritime Pine extract (bark)(containing procyanidins): 100mg
-It is often referred to as Pycnogenol. I has been shown to strengthen immune response, improve cardiovascular efficacy as well as to treat other adverse health conditions. It also has strong antioxidant properties and induces vasodilatory effects.

    Psycho-Active Furious Energy Blend: 175mg
This is a proprietary blend, which is disappointing as up until now, the label has been pretty open.

    DMHA:?
-It is an exotic stimulant similar to DMAA and which we are starting to see disappear from most supplements due to controversial use. It is a very effective stimulant and is often associate with the sense of Euphoria. Many other supplements using DMHA hover around the 200mg mark which seems to be an effective dose.

    Hordenine HCL: ?
-Provides a natural energy with a sharp mental focus. Works well with caffeine and provides a strong mood enhancing component. Up to 75mg is usually recommended.

Teacrine as camellia assamica var, kulcha tea: ?
-Similar to caffeine, providing long lasting energy. It makes its distinction with the fact that there is not tolerance build up over time.

    Halostachine HCL: ?
-It is similar in structure and function to ephedrine. It is known for its “feel-good_ effects. It helps to increase metabolism, stimulate lipolysis, enhance focus, increase energy, suppress appetite and improve glucose storage and utilization.

    N-Methyl L-Tyramine HCL: ?
-This version of L-Tyromine has been shown to increase cAMP, heart rate and insulting production. It also decreases blood sugar levels.

Huperzine A (from toothed clubmoss) extract: ?
-it is used as a memory enhancer and often taken by those studying for a test. It is often used anywhere from 50 to 200mcg.

    —-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
Taste: Many pre workouts these days taste great. Taste has pretty much become one of the deciding factors when buying a pre workout. With all of the great tasting options out there, there is really no reason for your pre workout to taste bad, with the exception of naturally sweetened products, which some people have a hard time with, no matter how it is flavoured. With that said, this (Yummy Gummy Gasms) flavour of Goku Gains that I tested, was by far the best tasting pre workout I have ever had. That includes the likes of Man Sports, which makes great tasting products. It is sweet, but not too sweet, sour, but not too sour, and has no weird or chemical aftertaste at all. It is just the perfect balance. I give it a 10/10.

Mixability: Nothing out of the ordinary to report here. It was easily mixed, did not foam or froth, and left nothing behind. No graininess at all.

Dosing: Each scoop is said to contain 15g. I found however that the scoop was always heavier then that. It was usually about 2-3 grams off. This can be bad when you consider the caffeine and stimulant content. I never had an issue however, as I alway weigh everything. But it is something to consider. If going by weight, there are indeed 20 servings in the container as listed on the label.

It is recommended to start with a 1/2 scoop, which I agree with. Take this one slow. Once you build up, the 1 full scoop is a pretty sweet spot. The warning says not to consume more than 2 scoops in a 24 hour period. I would definitely limit this to 1. The only way I can see someone taking 2 scoops in 24 hours is if they must train in the evening on one day, followed by an earlier training session the next day, but definitely not 2 in one day.

    —-Effectiveness—-
Once tolerance was build up to one scoop, I found it to be pretty effective. There are a lot of stimulants here and you can really feel them pretty early on. I found that the increase energy as well as heart rate hit me pretty quick compared to others. After about 10 minutes of have=ing consumed the product, I felt the need to get moving. This is definitely not a product you would want to take, and then end up sitting around for a couple of hours. The energy is too intense for that. If you are in the gym and moving however, the energy is pretty sweet. It gave me a combination of focus and hyper-like intensity. It was almost to the point where waiting between sets was almost uncomfortable. There was no nausea or sickness, just a sense of having to move. That being said, it was preferable to take this on days that training lasted a little longer. On shorter session days, I found that I would be jittery for about 30-60 minutes post workout. Not crazy jittery, but just enough to say it was there. With the added “feel-good” ingredients, this wasn’t really a problem. This amount of energy can be a good thing inside the gym, and I never found myself not liking it.
In terms of muscle fullness or pump, I didn’t really notice anything unusual or tightened compared to normal. The label claims to provide the “ultimate energy, focus, and mind-muscle connection”. I didn’t really feel the mind-muscle elevated at all enemy more than I usually do, which was something that I was looking forward to. I think that the energy and focus are what really stood out for me in this one. Overall effectiveness 8/10

    —-Value—-
At the time of writing this article, it can be had for $39.99 from the Furious Formulations web site. I could not find it any where else. For a 20 serving pre workout, I think that it is priced a little high, especially when you consider its competitors with proven ingredients and dosages like pre-jam and pre-cages priced at $37.99. That being said, in the exotic stimulant market you have DVST8 White cut priced at $49.99 and Sparta Kraken priced at $39.99 for 40 servings. I still think it is pretty high for only 20 servings and a not completely open label, but then again, it seems that most pre workout are high these days. For value, I give it a 7/10

    —-Side Effects—-
The only side effects I noticed were slight jitters. These were more noticeable able short training sessions. I don’t think that it is odd, given the amount of caffeine in this product. Assess your tolerance as you work through this one.

    –Conclusion—-
I believe that Furious Formulations has a pretty solid entry in the high stim category with Goku Gains. It is an effective energy enhancing product that is sure to get you going. I only wish that the entire label was open. That would make it stand out more for me and elevate the overall mark. I give it an 8/10 overall.

Enough Energy to Make You Furious, But Not Strong Enough to Make You a Saiyan.
Special thanks going out to the folks over at Furious Formulations, including the imfamous Furious Pete himself for the hookup on their products to the TROOPs and apologies on my end for the delayed post of this review. Goku Gains is the featured pre-workout of the Furious Formulations line, but does it live up to the reputation of it’s furious creator?

    —-Dosage—-
One scoop taken 20-30 minutes prior to workout.

    —-Ingredient Profile (8/10)—-
For the most part, the profile on this product is fully disclosed with only a small portion of it being included in a blend. Major prop points for the disclosure of the ingredients. Highlights of this formula starts off with 4 grams of Citrulline Malate, which is my personal favorite ingredient for pump performance and one of the most highly touted. 4 grams is on the low side of the spectrum as 6 grams is more of the preferable dose for Citrulline, but it is still a decent enough amount. Next on the list is 2.5 grams of Betaine, which is an endurance and performance booster and in the clinically effective dose at 2.5 grams. Next is 1 gram of Taurine for energy support in an adequate amount. 500mg each of Arginine Silicate as “Nitrosigine” and Agmatine Sulfate for added pump support. Each scoop provides 350mg of caffeine and a 175mg Energy Blend featuring DMHA, Teacrine, and Huperzine among others. This is a creatine and beta alanine free product which is a new niche and a little troubling to me since beta alanine is one of my favorite supplements that I believe in, but all in all a decent profile.

    —-Mixture (8/10)—-
I mixed one scoop with about 10 ounces of water and this product mixed well with no clumping and minimal leftovers in the cup afterwards.

    —-Taste (8/10)—-
The flavor I had was named “Yummy Gummy Gasms”, as clever as the name is, it tastes just as good. It did taste just like a gummy bear or worm would, so they got the flavoring down pat. It was a little on the sweet side for my liking, but with a flavor as such this it is to be expected. A very tolerable and enjoyable taste.

    —-Effectiveness (7/10)—-
When looking at what I consider the five important things to look for in a preworkout, two right off the bat are kind of at a loss due to this products makeup, being strength and endurance support. No creatine and no beta alanine puts this product behind the 8 ball in my opinion. However it does make up for this in the areas of energy and focus; the 350mg of caffeine and energy blend really do well to get you amped up, even borderline jittery for a very stimulant tolerant person like myself. The focus factor with this product was also superb, anytime I can zone out the girls in yoga pants at the gym I know the focus element of a preworkout is working. As far as pumps go, I would rate them as average. This product could benefit with a little more citrulline or agmatine as the doses are on the lower end of the effective spectrum in my opinion. So while I did miss the tingle and the ear itch from beta alanine, this product did well to make up for it in other areas.

    —-Value (6/10)—-
The going rate on this appears to be $39.99 off the Furious Formulations website, and on Amazon. Each tub only gives you 20 servings though, so you’re looking at right at 2 dollars per serving. Very high cost per serving when compared to other comparable and popular preworkouts.

    —-Conclusion and Verdict—-
Goku Gains is a product with a cool name, cool flavors, and a cool guy behind the product. When you get down to brass tacks it’s a good preworkout for energy and focus, but leaves something to be desired with the exclusions on creatine and beta alanine. This is product that will get you amped up and in the zone, but will come at an elevated per serving price tag. So while I did enjoy my experience with this product, I feel there are too many other viable options for someone like myself out there so I will have give this the “Meh” rating.

  4. SnakemanACTL

    A Furious Let Down
Shout out to Furious Formulations for sending this product out to the SR TROOPs.

    —-Ingredient Profile—-
Each scoop is 15g. Good open label on this product so points for transparency. Pretty stim heavy product with 350mg of caffeine anhydrous per serving and and undisclosed amount of DMHA. Goku Gains has 4g of the good ole’ l-citrulline malate that we all love. A little low dosed, but you’ll still notice it. Next up is 2.5g of betaine anhydrous; properly dosed. After that it’s Nitrosigine 500mg for a little extra pump. 500mg of agmatine sulfate for a little more pump boost. Then we come to the prop blend of 175mg DMHA, Hordenine HCL, Teacrine, Halostachine HCL, N-Methyl L-Tyramine HCL, and Huperzine A.

    —-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
A tasty treat! Yummy Gummy Gasms flavored tastes just like a sour gummy worm. Mixes well, I always look forward to having it just for the taste.

    —-Effectiveness—-
The pump boost I got from this was minimal but noticeable. For some reason I could take a scoop and a half and not feel like there was 450mg of caffeine and some DMHA in my system. I’m usually fairly stim sensitive but I didn’t get much of an energy boost from this. I did feel a little energy boost but nothing like what I normally feel with other PWO’s. There’s no tingly feeling either, because there is no beta alanine. There’s also no creatine and I would prefer this product to have both to make it more effective.

    —-Value—-
$39.99 for 20 servings. Yikes. Not worth it for me considering that I didn’t have a great pump or crazy energy from it. That money could be better spent on a much better PWO.

    —-Side Effects—-
    None

    —-Conclusion—-
This preworkout was a bit of a letdown for me. I really wanted to like it but the only thing that impressed me was the taste. Overpriced for a product that just didn’t work for me. I wouldn’t recommend it.
