its a DaSlaya Life Log....Lets get Fired up!! « : June 10, 2017, 09:15:08 AM »
As some of you know by now, my name is Chris and I am into lifting, sticking with the basics (Deadlift, Bench, Military Press, and Squats).  My goals are to get Strong as Fook and maintain my size while losing body fat (no problem!).  I am not into cutting or bulking, so I transitioned to a recomp of sorts, realistically making a better lifestyle in general with eating and fitness.  I have been in the United States Army for the last 18 years, and have 17 deployments (7 x combat, 10 x non-combat).  My body has basically been beat up over the years, however, being on the line gives you a great way to stay in shape, its just tough on the body!  Recently, I have moved to a job where I am the Commander of a course we teach, so its a tough transition for me, realizing I have no more deployments left and I will retire in two years.  We all need breaks sometime!  Since early this year I have finally had time to work out as I see fit, and not as my team does or the Army does and I stumbled across this site a few months ago, and absolutely love it.  I have never done a Log or Journal before, so bear with me in this process and if I am missing something or have too much please let me know.  Lifting is my therapy of sorts, I harness all my past anger over the years and take it out against the weights.

I have an injured or missing tendon in my Left ankle, a metal plate and seven screws in my right ankle, and a possible missing tendon in my left shoulder.  I am soon getting X-rays and MRIs done on these to see what is really going on, but its a problem I have had for the last 4 years (the Army is slow at times as they believe in Physical Therapy over surgery).  So I get nervous going heavy and typically do not on Squats and Shoulder exercises.  My numbers are not impressive by any means, but hey the only way from here is up!

I hope you guys enjoy my journey in this log, and thanks in advance for reading this very long winded intro!!

Age: 37
Height / Weight:  6'2" / 240

10 June 2017
Dymatize Project Mass : Cycle 3, MicroCycle 1, Day 65 Legs Strength

**Okay, so today I switched back to using Pre-jym as my PWO, wanted to see if I had built a tolerance to stim PWOs or if Fast Fuel was not doing much.  Turns out, Fast Fuel does not do much.  I also went back and used Intrablast with Super Carb during my workout.  Today I was FIRED Up beyond belief, and had a great session this nice Saturday morning:

Total Time: 65 minutes
Total Weight lifted: 18,936 lbs.

Squats: 205 x 3, 225 x 3, 245 x 3, 275 x 3
Deadlift:  315 x 3, 335 x 3, 355 x 3, 365 x 3
Leg Press: 643 x 3, 733 x 3, 823 x 3, 873 x 3
Romanian Deadlift:  225 x 3, 245 x 3 (felt sloppy), 225 x 3, 225 x 3

Motivating Song O the day:  Devils Night by Motionless in White

Question of the Day:  Do you guys find better results stacking all same brand products or mixing it up?  I find that a lot of companies design their supps to be stacked together for max results.  Thoughts?

**Shoulder and Ankle Joints felt great today, maybe the Animal Flex is kicking in or the last Recovery week I had helped, we shall see**

Thanks for your service. I'll follow along.

I find that most companies want you to stack their products to get the most money out of you. There is very little difference between most supplements out there in terms of the results you see, that is, as long as they are coming from a quality company. So no, I don't personally buy stacks. But I'm a very informed consumer and also a very picky person in general so some of that is just me. I'm usually looking for very specific things in very specific doses.

Thank you for your service first off.

Sounds like a great plan.  I am not familiar with that workout program but it seems your numbers are not what I would call bad.
Sets of three work well, just not something to stick with forever.   Having bad knees myself I can only do three's for about two to three weeks then I have to switch to volume.

Keep it up. We can help however you need it.
Maybe you should TRAIN as hard as you HATE.

@ODAAT365 and @mhseaver670  thanks for joining me on this journal journey.  The program I am on now, I Truly have enjoyed nice mix with Strength and Hypertrophy, I have never been one to do a "cutting: type program of light weight high reps, cause F that!!  This 3RM is a newer thing for me, but I plan to move to Layne Norton's PH3 after this, which focuses on 1RM, then after maybe bounce to a 5x5 or something!  For my fellow strength training bro's how do you guys do it typically, routine wise?  So I live in Washington State here, 7am now, Gym don't open until 9 on Sundays, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR........   However I should have put a disclaimer up, Once Football kicks off, Sunday workouts are not common for me since Kickoff is at 10am here.   I am a die hard Steelers fan first, Seahawks fan second!

I will follow along.  I also switch up, mostly because if I don't I get bored.  Also I believe it allows things to heal up a bit and get ready for the next faze.  Keep up the good work.........

Monday Morning... here we go on to another week in life!  I switched back to my normal stack today using Fast Fuel as recommended on the instructions, 1 scoop Pre workout, and 1 scoop Intra.  Going to continue to test this until the tub runs out, but as a teaser its not going to be a high rating unless something dramatically changes.  I have 2 days left on my AD-3 PCt / Mass HGH Stack, first time I have ever run a T boost and PCT, so did it concurrently out of paranoia and only for 30 days.  I am happy with the results I have noticed starting in week 3 of this.  Willl try and expand more on this in the future through other, better and more efficient stacks for a T boost.  Anyways, todays results:

12 June 2017
Cycle 3, MicroCycle 1, Day 67 - Pull Strength

Total Time: 54 Minutes
Total Weight:  9,030 pounds

Bent Over Barbell Row:  185x3, 185x3, 185x3, 195x3
Pullups: bodyweightx3, 10x3, 25x3,25x3
Barbell Curl:  100x5, 100x5, 110x5, 110x5
Barbell Shrug: 225x5, 225x5, 225x5, 225x5

My top two would be VasoMax or High Volume. They are both great. If you need something for focus, I would add bulk tyrosine, alpha-gpc, alcar, and huperzine a

Today should have been Day 70 of my workout, but alas life did not pan out that way.  I took my wife to Seattle last night to watch the Suicide Girls show, so we did not get back until 1am, and we get up around 4am.  Did not get much sleep at all, and had an early morning meeting at work.  Excuses complete, back at it tomorrow though!!  Here is my updated Supplement Stack:

Changes:  Switched RSP AminoLean with BCAA 5k, finished cycle of Mass HGH and AD-3 PCT.

Multivitamin:  Opti Men

Fish Oil:  Intelligent Labs Omega 3 (nearing the end of the bottle on this as well)

Protein:  MyProtein Whey Isolate / Nutrabio Micellular Casein

Pre- Workout: RSP Fast Fuel (currently testing for TROOPers)

BCAA:  NutraBio BCAA 5,000

Creatine:  Green Magnitude (taking Post Work Out)

Joint Support:  Animal Flex

Misc:  Size Slim Weight Loss (Testing for TROOPers and getting summer time ready), Nutrabio Super Carb (Intra workout), and Green Vibrance
