Hi- welcome! What types of supplements are you looking for recommendations on?
Anything that can help with an overall boost in my immune system. I'm currently on a Spirulina + Vit. B complex, Omega 3 and probiotics, so maybe something like a general vitamin complex? I'm experiencing some nasty skin issues when my immune defence is lacking, which mostly happens in autumn and spring...
For general health: I recommend fish oil (if you don't eat fatty fish regularly), Vitamin D (especially for winter/if you don't live somewhere sunny), curcumin (needs piperine), and zinc.
It also depends on your diet. You may have specific deficiencies and would want different supplements, but I think these four would be a good idea in most cases.
Thank you! I've tried curcumin and it helped me like the probiotics (felt less bloated and more regular). But after I stopped taking it, these effects were soon gone, like 2nd or 3rd day and it was back to "normal".
Zinc is something my former boss recommended when I was ill but I never got round to trying it - what exactly does it help with?
I am now looking forward to seeing results from the Omega 3 on my skin and hair (guess this is the main reason I'm taking it, but hey, it should help with a lot more than that, right!).
