Sup guys, just thought I'd start a journal to track my stats and for anyone else to track my stats on the way to my first physique competition in April. Yes it is a while from now, yet i still don't even know if i'll be ready lol.
I am trying to increase strength on the way as well, but mainly need to focus on body size and definition.
My current weight is around 157-158 at a height of 5'7 with about 8% bodyfat and i am trying to get to 170-180 by january-february and then cut a few pounds by april.

I currently do not have a trainer, however i most likely will get one as the time to the show gets closer in order to help me out with poses, tanning, what to expect, etc. My main weakness right now is my chest, which hopefully starts to get a little bigger as i progress. My current diet isn't too strict since i have an ectomorph body type really just need to eat a lot of everything to gain weight, but i still eat moderately clean. I get around 200+ g of protein, 380+ carbs, and 100+ g of fat per day, while hitting a minimum of 3k calories. Really my main weak points in diet are chips lol and ice cream.

Here are some of my lifts that i'd like to improve even though i did just recently hit pr's for just about all of them.
Current/Goal
Bench 255/275
Squat 325x2/365x1
Deadlift 355x2/365x1 (pretty sure i can hit it, I'm just a little scared to attempt lol)
Seated military press, shoulder press whatever you call it 185x2/205x1
BB curl not sure maybe 115? but i want to be able to at least curl 135 one time with good form lol

I will try to post every time i workout, but my schedule is a little busy with work and school. I should be able to post at least 2-3 times a week for sure though. Lmk if there's anything else you'd like to know  :)

Hit chest this morning great workout, I was going to max out on bench but i didn't feel right about it. However, after hitting 2 plates easier than i usually hit it, i regretted not maxing and trying the most i ever have lol. >:( it was a good workout, i currently am at 2800 calories  today, I'm missing around 1k so ill probably just drink a milkshake. My carbs were very low today   :-\ anyway heres my workout, i always do just a few minutes of stretching before and in between warmup sets.

Flat bench press 95x12, 135x10, 185x5, 225x6(felt like i could do 7 or 8, but had no spotter so i stopped at 6, 230x4, 200x10
Incline db press 90x8, 90x6, 90x4&80x2
Dips with 55lb db 2 sets of 10 then last set of 8 or 6? not sure don't remember lol
Incline cable flies 50x8, 40x12
Decline cable flies 40x10, 30x12
Flat db flies 40x8, 40x6, 40x6&30x6

Close grip bench 135x8, 135x8, 135x5
cable pushdown 140x6, 120x10, 120x6&90x6&60x8
skull crushers/one arm db tricep extension? not sure on the name 60x10/20x10, 60x10/20x8, 60x8/20x6

gonna be busy all day tomorrow, wednesday is back day let's see how it goes 8)

*edit a couple of hours later* hit my carb goal as well as calorie goal. Around 225g of protein, 470g of carbs, 140g of fat

back/bi's today it was an ok workout.

The amount of food i ate today was very low. I only got 2650 calories 304 carbs 105 fat and 120 protein, just wasn't really focusing or feeling it today. I still am gonna eat one more time ill try to at least pass 3000 even though it's very late right now, i'll probably just eat a bagel and like a protein shake or something. that'll add about another 4-500 calories i think and around 45-50 protein and 60-65 of carbs, which is still a low amount of protein and carbs for the day, but not that bad.
Now for the workout

a few minutes of light stretching along with 2 sets of 8 reps of slightly wide pull-ups
Deadlifts - 135x8, 185x6, 225x4, 275x2, 315x4, 325x4, 365 attempt but was a huge failure lol, maybe if i hit it at the beginning of my workout i could've gotten it, and then last set 315x2
Bent over rows - 185x6, 210x6, 170x10
T bar rows - plate and 25x10, plate and 25x8, plate, 10, and a 5x10
DY machine rows - 45x10, 45x10, 45x10

Standing db curls 35x8& 21's with 30lb bar, 30x10, 21's&30x10
Preacher curls/hammer curls - 30lb bar for 10/30lb db for 8, 30lb x 8/25lb db for 8, 30lb x 6/25lbs for 6

haven't been able to post the past couple of days, but i have still been hitting the gym. However, i have felt weak I'm not sure why, most likely my diet, i definitely have not been eating enough, not sure whats up. I attempted a 365 deadlift and could not get it up at all, compared to when i hit 355 and was able to do it, not with ease, but definitely felt way lighter than 365.
Legs today, pretty good workout, but still felt weak.

Squats - 135x8, 185x6, 225x2, 330x1, 315x4(barely lol), 285x5&225x8
Lunges - 185x8? not too sure wasn't counting, 185x6?, 135x10
Leg press - 5 plates x 6, 5 plates&25lb x 5, 6 plates x 4
Leg extensions - 130x10, 140x8, 120x10
Leg curls - 110x12, 120x8, 90x12

That's it for legs, for some reason i thought i was going to knock 330 out easy on squats, but just taking it off the rack felt super heavy lol i got surprised, only been hitting 2800-3100 cals a day, that might be why.
Shoulders tomorrow, i wanted to max out on chest on monday, but i might have to wait now, since i have been feeling weak :(

hit shoulders yesterday, great workout didn't hit my caloric goal i hit about 3k

Military press 95x10, 160x8, 170x6, 155x8
lateral raises 30x10, 30x8, 25x10
bent over lateral raises 20x10, 20x10, 20x8
behind the neck standing military press 95x12, 95x12, 95x10
cable lateral raise 20x10, 20x8, 10x12

shrugs 225x12, 315x8, 335x6, 275x10, 225x12
behind the back shrugs 185x12, 185x12, 185x10

rope pushdown(name check?) lol 120x4&90x5, 100x6&70x6&50x8

cals are still low i need to get back on it lol-_- its hard finding things to eat and eating throughout the day

New deadlift pr barely hit for back 365

Pullups 2 sets of 6
Deads 135x8, 185x6, 225x4, 365x1, 315x5, 275x4
Bent over rows 185x6, 215x4, 185x6
Pulldowns 180x6, 160x8, 160x6
DY rows 3 sets of a plate and a 25 for 8-10 reps
seated cable rows? 190x6, 180x8, 180x8

curl bar curls 70x10, 70x8, 70x8(honestly i don't even remember how many reps i do, I'm just guessing ;D)
preacher/hammer curls 50x8/30x8, 50x5/30x6, 50x5/30x5 (same i don't even remember)
cable curl 2 sets of 6 reps, but i dropped weight 3 times in each set like 100/70/50 90/70/40

then hit legs yesterday, felt very weak
leg extension warmup while waiting for squats 60x10, 60x8
squats 135x8, 185x5, 225x4, 305x4, 295x5, 295x5
lunges 185x8 or 6, 185x6, 185x5
leg press 5 plates for 4 reps, 6 plates for 4 reps, 6 plates for 4 reps(only hit 4 reps the first set, because it felt too light and i wanted to be able to have enough energy to hit 6 plates a few times)
leg extension and leg curls i dont even know but i only hit 2 sets of each, my legs were dying lol

Have not been posting and i have fallen off my diet for some past few days, but I'm back on. Updates on lifting, i maxed out on bench and got a new pr of 265, i hit it moderately easy, even went for a second rep but only got it about half way up, 275 coming soon 8) shoulders tomorrow. I have received the Nutra pre and it has been awesome, I'm loving it so far, good pumps, good energy, not too much caffeine. Have not been consistently taking my creatine which i will start again, probably with 10g for a couple of days then back down to 5. Currently weighing in at around 157, so nothing new, my lightest I've seen myself recently is 155 which really bothered me and helped me to get motivated to EAT lol.
