Is working at a supplement store (Vitamin world / Shoppe, GNC, etc.) really as bad as some would have you believe?? I'm applying to employers to find a job and one of them was Vitamin World. There's a lot of talk about how bad they are with scripts, etc. This guy in particular seems like he has an axe to grind, or is that just the ugly truth? newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Misc/misc.consumers/2010-03/msg00034.html
On the other hand, the vitamin world website says it's the 5 time winner of the #1 store brand in customer satisfaction accroding to consumer lab user survey (go to vitaminworld.com and look near the bottom the bottom of the page). However, good supplement quality doesn't mean they have good sales practices (although it is a positive indicator).
Anyway, I'd appreciate peoples' opinions (with sources if possible (like consumer reports)), especially from anyone with experience or inside information.
Thanks! I look forward to reading what people have to say.
