About Sundown Naturals

Launched in 1976, Sundown Naturals’ main headquarters are in Bohemia, New York. The brand is owned by Rexall Sundown Inc, which also has registered offices in Arizona, Nevada, Florida and Pennsylvania, as well as other locations in New York.

The company was founded by Carl DeSantis, who bought the name Rexall from a near-defunct drugstore chain in 1985. DeSantis took the company public in 1993 and sold his 21.7 million shares to Dutch company Royal Numico NV in 2000. The current owner of the Sundown Naturals is Nature’s Bounty (formerly NBTY), which announced the purchase in June 2003.

In addition to Sundown Naturals, Rexall Sundown’s other supplement brands include CarbSolutions and Osteo Bi-Flex. Other brands in the Nature’s Bounty stable include Solgar, Puritan’s Pride, MET-Rx, Balance Bar and more.

As part of a large company, Sundown Naturals boasts state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. All facilities meet the FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). In line with its ‘natural’ name, the brand also promises products that are “all clean, all the time”. In fact, every Sundown Naturals supplement is free from wheat, gluten, dairy, artificial colors, and GMO.

According to the Sundown Naturals website, the company’s staff includes dedicated nutritionists, researchers and “skilled associates”. All processes are subject to strict quality controls, while the facilities are independently audited by UL-Registrar LLC.

All of this leads to the “most efficient manufacturing, packaging and delivery methods” that help the company keep costs down and pass savings on to the customer.

The Sundown Naturals range includes products designed to improve your heart health, boost your immune system and aid digestion. It also offers vitamins (for adults and children), sleep and relaxation support and supplements for “overall wellness”.

The brand’s range is available to buy from its official website and from third-party sites like Walgreens, Amazon, Walmart, Target and more.
