ProSupps

Originally known as Professional Supplements, ProSupps was founded in 2004.

The Texas-based company says it’s “a lifestyle, not a product”, and “a movement, not a shelf position”. It also declares that every ProSupps customer has the ambition to “become something greater than who they are today”.

CEO TJ Humphreys’ dedication to fitness and bodybuilding is clear from his impressive physique. And having graced the cover of Muscle & Fitness, he arguably knows what it takes to succeed. As a result, it’s perhaps no surprise that his mission for ProSupps is to make it “the most-recognized sports nutrition brand in the world”.

The company website says that within seven years of starting, ProSupps was generating revenues of up to $65 million”, due in part to its founder’s ability to build partnerships with consumers and retailers across the United States.

To ensure ProSupps’ products retain a “high level of quality and performance”, the brand forged an “in-house relationship” with a cGMP- and NSF-certified manufacturer.

Humphreys states that one of the secrets to the brand’s success is “innovation”. To reinforce this idea, the CEO says that it was responsible for a series of ‘firsts’. Humphreys points to the way in which ProSupps was one of the first to use agmatine sulfate and “three different kinds of caffeine” in its pre-workouts.

Members of Team ProSupps (brand ambassador program) have included bodybuilder Sean Allan, NFL player Melvin Ingram, UFC fighter and judo champion Hector “Showeather” Lombard and women’s UFC fighter Valérie Létourneau.

Products carrying the ProSupps name include pre-workouts, BCAA, fat burners, creatine supplements, and protein powders.

Perhaps its best-known product line is the Mr Hyde and Dr Jekyll pre-workout series. This includes Dr Jekyll NitroX, a “pre-workout amplifier” designed to help users sustain energy levels, become more motivated, and increase vascularity and muscle pumps.

The brand was named “Supplement Company of the Month” in November 2017. It also became a partner to Dale Coyne Racing and the Vasser-Sullivan Indy 500 team in February 2018. As part of the deal, the car driven by Sébastien Bourdais, one of the most successful IndyCar drivers in American history, was adorned with the ProSupps name.
