Founded in 1990, Olimp Sport Nutrition is a pharmaceutical company based in the Podkarpackie Province, Poland.
The organization is part of a group of companies which comprises Olimp Laboratories GmbH and Nutrifarm Sp. Z o.o (in Germany). Collectively, these organizations are known as the Olimp-Nutrifarm Group of Companies.
The company was started with the mission to instill “strength”, “health”, “vitality” in its customers, and to ensure a “better comfort of life” for all.
Since 2015, Olimp Laboratories has boasted a dedicated research and development center, to which the brand website refers as “one of the most innovative of its kind in Europe. From 2008 to 2018 alone, the group invested PLN 315 million (approx. $84 million) in “new technologies and development”.
According to the Olimp Sport Nutrition website, the company’s research and development center is brimming with “high-quality technical instruments” and “state-of-the-art research equipment” for manufacturing. This equipment includes liquid and gas chromatographs for purity testing, an NIR spectrophotometer to analyze amino acids, and “equipment which analyzes dosages forms”.
The facility also includes labs for chemical analysis, instrumental analysis, molecular modelling, sensory analysis, and formulation analysis. These labs have the capacity to work on projects of up to “semi-industrial scale”.
To achieve “innovation-oriented designing and manufacturing”, the company carries out educational activities, and supplies consulting services for external bodies.
All Olimp Sports Nutrition products are manufactured in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as set out by law. The facility also boasts several ISO accreditations. As a result, the company has proof that its facility meets the high standards set out by ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and HACCP.
