About Metabolic Nutrition

Metabolic Nutrition began life in 1987. It is based in Tamarac, Florida.

The company was founded by Dr. Murray J. Cohen with a view to correct “metabolic abnormalities” and to make “his patients’ lives better”. The company says this dedication to “better health” permeates everything the company does as it grows.

Metabolic Nutrition is a family business – Dr. Cohen’s son Jay worked alongside his father before taking over as CEO in 1997.

According to the brand website, Dr. Cohen built the company on the belief that metabolic issues largely stem from “nutritional deficiencies” and that there should be supplements to help address these problems. The company says this philosophy extends not only to its health and wellness products, but also to its sports nutrition supplements.

All products are made at a 50,000 sq. ft. “pharmaceutical-grade facility” where “highly trained professionals” work together to produce supplements of the “highest quality imaginable”. The company takes care of everything from sourcing and buying raw materials, to analysis, manufacturing, packaging and storing its products – all of which it does in-house. Its manufacturing plant complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).

In addition, the people behind the brand say they’re “committed 24/7” to researching the latest studies, which in turn help them create “cutting edge nutritional supplements” that “empower” their customers and “improve [their] lives”.

Metabolic Nutrition also boasts its own comic-book hero – Metabolic Man. The hero starts out “your average decent guy” before seeking the “perfect formula” to give him more “energy”, greater “control over his body” and a clearer mind. And when he finds what he’s looking for, he becomes Metabolic Man – an obvious nod to the company’s dedication to helping users build and recover their health.

The Metabolic Nutrition product line includes pre-workouts, fat burners, post- and intra-workouts, protein powders and “daily health essentials”.
