About

As its name suggests, NutraBio’s 100% Pure Creatine Monohydrate contains just one ingredient.

Creatine monohydrate is widely sold as a way to improve strength, muscle size and power output.

NutraBio’s version of the compound does not contain any proprietary blends and does not use any fillers, additives or excipients. It is made in the manufacturer’s own “FDA registered and audited facility”.

NutraBio says that this product uses the “purest creatine mono available”. The powder is micronized to 200 mesh for faster, easier mixing in water. To ensure purity, the creatine is HPLC tested.

Each serving contains 5g of creatine monohydrate.

If Al Bundy had this in his playing days he may have scored 5 touchdowns in one game. It would have changed history forever.
—-Introduction—-
When you start to hit a wall, what is better than old trusted, tried and true creatine monohydrate to help out. Based on the reviews for MyProtein and having used their whey protein a few years back I decided to order a sack of this.

—-Ingredient Profile—-
100% pure creatine monohydrate. You get 5g per scoop. Just a quick overview on creatine monohydrate. We produce creatine naturally in our bodies from amino acids. It is also found in meat and fish. Cooking these items can breakdown the creatine and limit its value which is why it is nice to have this in the powder form.

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
I had the unflavored version. If you order one of the flavored versions there is a note on MyProtein’s website that says if you choose a flavored version it will reduce the Creatine Monohydrate content by approximately 15%. This mixed fine and had zero issues. The dosing was mixed since I did a loading phase. I loaded at 5g per serving four times per day for five days. I mixed two of these servings with my protein shakes and then I had the other two added to 6 ounces of water. The doses during the loading phase were about 2-3 hours apart based on convenience. Once the loading phase was done I dosed this at one scoop daily with my post workout protein shake.

—-Effectiveness—-
I was looking for this to increase overall strength and help with the heavier push and pull lifts. This did just that. On some of the exercises I had started plateauing and becoming stagnant with the amount of weight for each exercise. I went back to the drawing board and looked at form along with a few other things (adjusting drop sets, supersets, etc..) to see if I could work on improving those things to set a few new PR’s. I was able to hit a PR or two when I improved my form and made other adjustments but I wasn’t satisfied and felt like I was right on the edge of beating a few more PR’s. I was already taking a PWO, my protein intake and macros were where they should be and I was using BCAA’s. That’s when it hit me. Why not call an old friend in to help out. I decided it was time to add creatine monohydrate back into my stack. Once I added it in it took about 10 days and then I was able to set my first new PR. As the weeks and months went on I hit a few more PR’s with individual exercises but the big three (bench, squat and deadlift) was where I got the most bang for my buck. The one major thing I did notice was on the big three lifts I had more initial power when starting those lifts. On the bench I felt on the initial push it was much easier. The same for deadlifts and squats. I was able to increase the weight and reps.

—-Value—-
The value is great. You have a few options to go with. Option 1 is a 0.5 lb pound bag which has about 45 servings for $4.50 which comes out to $0.10 per serving. Option 2 is a 1.1 lb bag with 100 servings for $9.09 which comes out to $0.09 per serving and option 3 is a 2.2 lb bag that has 200 servings for $11.89 which works out to $0.05 per serving.

—-Side Effects—-
None. There was no bloating experienced.

—-Conclusion—-
An effective supplement that is cheap. What more could you ask for? MyProtein produces quality supplements and they hit another one out of the park with this one. I have used creatine blends and creatine HCL but this one is definitely my favorite so far. I would recommend this based on price and results. The other big thumbs up is I did not experience any bloating which is rare for me when using creatine monohydrate.

2. BlakePullen

Tried and True, You literally can’t go wrong with this product
—-Introduction—-
What is up guys? I’m Blake Pullen and this is actually the first supplement I EVER purchased when I really started getting into a bodybuilding style of training. I used this specific product over a period of 6 months and I absolutely fell in love with it. I originally bought it because of the price and the reputability that the company MyProtein had.

—-Ingredient Profile—-
I had the unflavored powder so the label was short and sweet!
100% Creatine Monohydrate

THAT’S IT! And that’s all you really want from your creatine. Clean, no fillers, no BS additives, just results. This is one of my favorite products of all time because of all of the benefits of creatine. It can improve your overall strength and power output by helping supply energy to your muscle cells!

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
I’m going to be honest, the ONLY negative thing I could possibly say about this product is the bitter taste and the lingering aftertaste. I stress that I did buy the unflavored powder, so I guess the unpleasant taste is to be expected. Regardless, this product could taste MUCH better

Mixibility: I’ve used multiple creatine products and have had mixing issues in the past, however, with this product I never had any issues! I used my classic blender bottle and would give it a good shake for roughly 15-20 seconds.

Dosage: I serving is 5 grams which is exactly the clinical dose for creatine maintenance after the muscles have already been saturated with it. Ther perfect serving size

—-Effectiveness—-
I took my 5g of Creatine once daily either before or after my workouts. I found that from an energy standpoint it helped me to take my creatine BEFORE my workout rather than after. People swear by taking it before. People swear by taking it after. I personally think that as long as you’re getting your 5g of creatine in you every day that you’re doing something right. I used this product for a full 6 months and saw increases in strength and mass while using this product. Obviously, in a 6-month span, I was also using other products during this period that also contributed to my progress, but I do tribute a lot of my strength gains to the use of this product. It’s clean, it’s authentic, and it’s everything that you could want from a creatine monohydrate powder
—-Value—-
There is constantly sales on this stuff on the MyProtein.com website but you can currently purchase 2.2 pounds of this stuff for $16.99
That is almost a 6 months supply of creatine for under $20. It’s a phenomenal value

—-Side Effects—-
NONE, I have a very sensitive stomach and everything always operated smoothly

—-Conclusion—-
This is my favorite Creatine monohydrate powder on the market and its sold at a great price. All around great product

Completely Baseline Creatine Monohydrate
—-Introduction—-
Greetings SR! Here’s a product that’s been around for a good bit and I’ve gone through several tubs so here’s the lowdown on it worked for me.

—-Ingredient Profile—-
7/10

Easy-Peasy here, only one ingredient here and its creatine monohydrate. Enough studies are out there that anyone looking for this product should be at least decently well versed in what it does, but the short version is that its a safe supplement that increases exercise performance, usually by helping you to maximize your workout potential to get that last rep or 2 on your sets. My rating of 7 here is based on the lack of purity information on this particular product. The most recognized form of monohydrate is “Creapure” that is supposed to be 99.99% pure and this is not that but regular creatine monohydate (of an unknown purity)

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-
8/10

There is no flavor to speak of with this product and it has the consistency of a very fine powder. To help visualize, its finer than sand but not as fine as chalk. Mixibility is good, while I usually put this in with another product (my pre workout or my morning BCAAs on non workout days), I have also mixed it on its own. It shakes up pretty easily with 8-10oz of water in a blender bottle even without the whisk ball in about 5-10 seconds and forms a cloudy water. If drank quickly, I don’t have any residue while it will settle after a few minutes and requires a quick reshake. The dosing is standard, a 5g dose.

—-Effectiveness—-
7.1/10

Rating the effectiveness of an individual creatine is hard as this is not the only item ever in my stack. I believe the research that its working and getting me that extra rep on my sets but since i can’t really compare explicitly, I can’t say that with sureity. I don’t notice a difference between this creatine and other monos that I have had before.

—-Value—-
6.3/10

Retail on this product is $15 for 500g at BB.com though it usually comes with a deal like most products from RSP that I’ve seen. The best deal I usually see on this product is from them as well and it gets you 2x 500g tubs for $20 which comes out to just about 10 cents a serving. That’s a fairly decent price but other companies have at least matched it or beaten it for regular creatine. I also docked a point from RSP on the way they made their container for this product. The tub has a lip on it that makes it both hard to get level scoops and very hard to get to the bottom of the container and get at the last 20% of the powder. With this fine of a powder, I’ve probably lost several dosings of it on each tub.

—-Side Effects—-
I’m still a fan of the old school loading technique with mono and during the loading, my body doesn’t really handle this great. I don’t blame RSP for this but something of an issue for monos with me.

—-Conclusion—-
6.8

Firstly, the reason I have used several tubs is that they were either free or essentially free with other orders from BB.com. For me this product is near the middle of “Solid Product” and “Ok, but will try something else next time” as its a little bit of both. Its a completely baseline monohydrate with nothing really wrong with it, I wouldn’t buy it at the retail price or even at most of the deal prices. I have a concern with the purity of the product since RSP doesn’t give me any info on it and while I don’t have any reason to suspect its lower than the standard, I’d rather use one that I can find is either Creapure or at least has test results (from labdoor.com or similar).

4. spencts

Good, cheap, gets the job done.
—-Quick Summary—-

—-Introduction—-
I’ve been lifting 3-4 times a week for about 1.5 yrs. I’m 42 and regret not starting when I was younger and had a hormonal advantage. But hard work and proper nutrition, along with supplementation pay off.

—-Ingredient Profile—-
MyProtein strips products down to there essentials and this is no different. It’s Creatine and nothing else.

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-

Zero taste as expected. Mixes great, as all MyProtein products have. Dosing is normal for creatine.
—-Effectiveness—-
MyProtein does what creatine does and does it well. Aids in adding muscle mass.

—-Value—-
You get a lot for what it costs. MyProtein has excelled at quality for the price.

—-Side Effects—-
Unless you count muscle gain as a side effect, than there were none noted.

—-Conclusion—-
If your’e buying from MyProtein this is a definite order.

5. fat2ripped

Great Value Creatine
—-Quick Summary—-

So this is Dymatize Micronized Creatine, it’s been around for a long time but somehow has slipped by me. I bought this on amazon awhile back because it was a really great value, and by that I mean it lasted for a really long time based on price and effectiveness. I will buy again and again I believe just because of the value and other distinctions I’ll mention below.

—-Introduction—-

So I love creatine, you know? I started using it when I was about 17 I guess, in high-school and a friend of mine mentioned that a guy in our class only got big because he was using creatine. Naturally, I was interested to learn what this was and how it affected my muscles and performance in the gym. Well, this was a long time ago, but ever since then I’ve basically been using it on and off throughout the years. I remember when I first heard about it I read about dosing and how a loading phase could help and things of that nature, and to this day I can’t tell you if it’s needed. I decide not to do a loading phase just because I’m a cheap ass and I don’t waste anything. Anyway like I said, I’ve used it on and off for awhile, from fat to lean, from lean to fit, from fit back to fat, and now from fat to moderate. I know since I’m a bigger guy now that using Creatine while trying to lose weight to not look at scales because water retention and muscle growth the scale might actually go up.

—-Ingredient Profile—-

So I mean it’s Creatine, I believe the ingredients list only says
Creatine Monohydrate 5g

It’s micronized Creatine monohydrate, micronized just meaning it’s been finely milled into smaller Creatine particles. Creatine is used to increase muscle performance and muscle mass. I believe it’s the most widely used supplement and the most researched safe supplement. It’s been used forever and will continue to be for a long time in my opinion. I love it because it just works. You know what you’re getting, no surprises here.

—-Taste/Mixability/Dosing—-

To start off with, it’s unflavored, so there is no taste besides what you mix it in. I usually mixed mine with just water sometimes I’d put it in juice. It mixed okay, I know it’s Creatine mono, it’s not known to mix perfectly. You get a little gritty taste when doing it, but I don’t mind. I just put it and drink it as soon as I do most of the time. Mine didn’t come with a scoop, I seen some people said their’s did, I guess you just gotta be lucky. I never did the loading phase this time around, I just didn’t want to. I mixed in 5 g of Creatine twice a day usually just because I’m a bigger guy and it worked just as well as the times I had did a loading phase. Usually I drank it in the morning and then after my workout, that’s just what I did, you can decide for yourself when to take it.

—-Effectiveness—-

I believe it worked well, it’s not gonna make you feel like you want to lift the whole gym up but it just gives you that extra rep or two. It increased my muscle output, I felt like after a while I was able to lift more and heavier. Also my muscles just felt fuller, I enjoy that aspect of creatine the most. I think it also helped with my recovery a bit. I just felt stronger while taking it, I looked bigger and it helped me get that extra rep in.

—-Value—-

This is where it also shined for me, I bought 500 g, about 100 servings, for around $10 bucks on amazon. That’s a really great deal to me. I actually looked and couldn’t find a cheaper deal, not on amazon at least. I also googled it and $10 seems to be the cheapest price for 500 g of Dymatize Creatine when you include shipping, which is free for me on amazon. It’s a really good value for 100% pure creatine mono.

—-Side Effects—-

I never had any side effects, maybe minimal bloating, if it was there I didn’t notice it to be honest. No digestive issues either.

—-Conclusion—-

Creatine is great, I love it. I was just looking for the best deal and I found this. It worked well for me, with no side effects. I enjoyed using it and i’ll buy it again, until something cheaper comes along anyway. For the price your getting a great value. I noticed increased reps and more strength alongside a increase in muscle output I seen an increase in muscle size.
