As a journalist who is often critical of the industry, I'm conditioned to expect angry emails from brand owners when I point out even the smallest shortcomings of their products. Kaged Muscle responded differently, and that caught my eye.

Ultimately, what we are looking at is an advertisement for Kaged Muscle. Yes, I applaud them for sticking it to a prop blend and helping promote transparency in the industry, but they are picking and choosing details to include and details to omit that might not be in line with their sales mission.

We took the top 137 most popular UPCs on our site (based on user clicks over the last month) and grabbed every retailer price we could find. We then found the median price for that UPC and recorded how much lower (or higher) each retailer was than the median. We added the numbers up and ranked the retailers from low to high.
