Maybe Recommended I was reading a lot of good things about UP Whey and decided to stop the usual Gold Standard and give this baby a go.

Value- Usually a couple bucks cheaper than ON. Not enough to be a really big deal.

Profile- Maybe they changed their formula, but a previous review stated their was no whey concentrate. The ingredients list: "whey isolate, whey concentrate, hydrolyzed whey." The exact amounts are a mystery but this is the same order as the ON packaging ingredients. Only problem is it says it is "loaded with BCAAs and Glutamine" but I don't see where it says the exact amount. At least ON says 5 g or whatever--maybe you could find out online somewhere.

Taste & Mixability: I personally think that ON tastes better. It took awhile to get used to but by the end it actually tasted good. Some problems were the mixability. Sometimes there are clumps and if you shake it to get them all out you have to let it sit for a minute or two to get rid of all the foam. One positive is that I usually took ON with milk, but the Arctic Lemonade was good with water. If you're looking to cut out some extra cals with your shake then you might try this as it has a comparable profile to other whey proteins but a non-dessert flavor

Recommended Very high quality whey from a very underrated company. The Arctic Lemonade was a breath of fresh air from your typical milkshake flavored proteins on the market. I can't honestly say it tasted like lemonade, more like lemon drop candies. Still, not too sweet and a nice change from chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, etc.

Fantastic BCAA profile and mixing was not as bad as SO many people on BB.com claim. Use enough water and you won't get clumps. It's supposed to taste like lemonade, right? So don't try to make yourself a thick, creamy shake and make it more of a refreshing drink. I use this intra and post and I love it. XF is good at everything they do.

The taste is far, far better. XF is well known for their obsession with making great tasting products, or they don't release them.

Recommended Wow, they ALMOST nailed it. Fantastic profile, including hydrolyzed whey peptides make this stuff a fantastic choice for post-workout protein. I picked up a 5-lb tub at bb.com for about $45' which i think is a very fair price for the quality of whey blend you are getting (no whey concentrate here!) The taste of the Artic Lemonade was very refreshing, and a pleasant change up from the standard Vanilla/Chocolate/Etc that most other proteins offer. It was especially appealing since it is a flavor that tastes great mixed with water, because as as I said, I am taking this post-workout and sadly my gym does not offer drinking fountains that dispense skim milk. The only thing that keeps this from being the perfect protein could be a deal breaker for some....and that is major clumpage, even when mixed with a blender ball shaker. I can overlook it because of the other positives, but it's kind of a bummer to me that a company that obviously took so much care in crafting such a tasy, unique flavor couldn't have done something about the floating lemonade-flavored boulders left behind here. If that's something you can look past though, by all means order a tub or two of this stuff with confidence; it's certainly one of the better whey proteins on the market today.
