What up guys? Well the long and the short of it:
Wrestled and played lacrosse in high school and was pretty good despite my partying ways. Joined the Marine Corps a year or so after graduating instead of going to rehab. While in the Corps, I got somewhat serious about exercise and lifting, but knew next to nothing about nutrition, thanks to good genetics and some serious training partners I had some pretty solid results.
After the Corps, my motto became work hard, party harder, which got me no where really fast. Destroyed my back and went back to school where I dabbled with fitness and lifting again and started to connect the dots in relation to fitness, diet and supplementation.
Eventually, I really destroyed my lower back and had to have surgery: double fusion with lamectomy. After surgey, I gained a ton of weight and became irritated with myself on many levels, that was 2006.
Today, I am a proud father and husband and pretty serious about both working out and my overall health. The gym has become my haven, a place for me to cleanse both mind and spirit and punish the body. I want to be a serious role model for my son, which is something I never had. I am very pleased and lucky to have found this site, it was a fluke search that led me here, and look forward to sharing my knowledge and learning a thing or two from the more seasoned vets as well.
