Actually, even though the photo and title of this protein is for
Universal Egg Protein, according to the links to buy this supplement, this is actually Univeral's Milk and Egg, which I have been taking regularly for at least half year. This product isn't going to make the list of anyone's favorite flavored supplement. While
Universal has improved the taste somewhat, along with an packaging facelift-- an aesthetic upgrade with the new, nifty label that's more aggressive and hip --the solid and enduring efficacy of milk and
egg protein doesn't need to rely on trends or marketing. Obviously, this isn't an ideal supplement for mornings or post-workouts. It's 10-score attributes include being relatively inexpensive, effective and a great pre-bedtime protein supplement. Hampered by the somewhat challenging taste, my overall rating (8) still recommends the product. Also, along with the milk and
egg protein, there is whey concentrate in the protein matrix, and the composite includes a healthy dose of
BCAAs. If you can get past the lackluster taste (might be putting it mildly) and/or mix some fruit in the shake, you can't go wrong with this as a nighttime supplement-- a great, proven, effective and inexpensive product to maintain muscle nourishment throughout the night.
