Overview:
This is a liquid supplement intended primarily for what I believe would be facilitating/enhancing muscle pumps during workouts, much like its legacy supplement, Nitrox II, which I assume this product was intended replace, but I haven’t been able to validate that assumption.
Taste:
It tasted like grape cough syrup, which is pretty gross to me, but I don’t care so much about taste; I just gulped it down. You get used to it after a few doses.
Dosing:
I followed protocol and took ~2 tbsp about 5-10 min before working out. Since this is a liquid supplement, the dosing is never exact, thus you don’t necessarily get the maximum serving count possible (which devalues the product), especially if you’re a bit clumsy like me and spill some of it while trying to pour it into your table spoon. I guess what I’m getting at here is that, frankly, this supplement is impractical to take. I’m not sure what the logic was behind making a liquid solution instead of just putting exact measured doses in a capsule.
Lastly, you are not required to take this everyday to see results, which would add to the value of the product, however, I saw no results, so there wasn’t much value to be added to (read on).
Effectiveness:
For me, this product was a complete and utter dud. It literally did nothing. I was expecting it to be at least as effective as Nitrox II was, however, this product was a total fail for me. No increased pumps or vascularity, no energy or increase in strength. I’m extremely disappointed.
Value:
In short: worthless. I would never buy this supplement again and highly recommend people stay away from it. You only got 16 oz, and at 2 tbsp per serving, that leaves you with about 16 servings, and that’s only if you don’t spill any of it while pouring it into your tbsp. I paid $21.95 for something that essentially only lasts ~16 workouts. Even if this product worked, that’s a poor value.
Availability:
Apparently, this product was recently discontinued from BB.com, and not surprisingly, since it doesn’t work. Hopefully SciFit goes back to making Nitrox II, which worked amazingly well. They should have never tried to “fix” something that wasn’t “broken.”
