I picked up a container of Dark Energy from supplementwarehouse when it was on special for $15. How could I go wrong at that price for 50 servings? In fact, for the most part you can always get it for around $20 so it is still hard to go wrong. My history with PWOs is as follows: Super Pump 250, Jack3d, C4, and a couple of others not even worth mentioning. I have a good history with SciFit products and was not worried about trying this based on some of the logs and the reputation of the company.

Taste 8/10

I had the grape and the taste wasn’t too bad. In my opinion, it was a little on the weak side like Jack3d is. The key point here is that the taste wasn’t bad at all and is very drinkable. I did have some trouble getting some of the powder to mix completely and it would leave a little grit in the bottom. That wasn’t a problem as long as you swirled the shaker before every drink.

Energy 9/10

This is where the product really stands out. It gives a good clean energy. I didn’t get a buzz or any jitters from this at all. I was lifting pretty good and having great workouts. I was actually kind of worried about two weeks into it because I wasn’t feeling anything. I decided to not take it one day before I went to the gym to see if I could tell a difference. By all means, I was more fatigued in the gym and didn’t have my normal Drive. I still had an ok workout but I didn’t get all my last reps on some of the sets. Went back to using it, BAM, no problems.

Value 10/10

How can it not be when most PWOs are at least $25 and around half the servings? I will admit that the last couple of weeks, I did use 2-3 scoops. Not because I felt like I needed it, but because I wanted to get rid of the tub! Haha

The only complaint I had was that it got very hot one day and clumped together. I’ve had that happen with other supplements but never like this did. They were soft clumps with like a gel holding them together. I suggest to keep out of extreme heat (just like the directions say).

Overall I would say that Dark Energy is worth a try. It is a great value and I could tell a difference when using it. It did not “tweak” me out so if you are into that buzzed and tingly feeling, this is not for you. I did not have any problems sleeping during taking this either. I’d take it about 4pm and go to bed around 9 with no problems. Even the days I worked over and didn’t take it until 5-6, still no problems. Give it a shot and let us know what you think!

I have bounced around with scifit products for a while because I trust the company and its owner.

Taste and Mixing (Grape Rage) - I really enjoyed the taste of this product. It has the flintstone multivitamin taste like many preworkouts have nowadays. I personally love that, it makes me feel like I am drinking something potent and packed full of beneficial ingredients, haha. However, the mixing was rough. Literally everytime I used it there were white particles at the bottom of my container. Also, due to what was likely heat damage or another packaging problem, there were many clumps amongst the powder. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying.

Value - Incredible value, I bought this while it was buy one get one free. So, I got 100 servings for 21.99 on BB.

Label and effectivness - Overall, I felt good, steady energy on this product. Nothing too intense or shaky. For those who care, I felt little to no pump (I could care less). Each serving has 250 mg Caffeine which is pretty standard. One issue I have with this product is that it is proprietary. Usually, scifit discloses all ingredient amounts and that is another reason I liked them. However this product has a great list of ingredients (Arginine Alpha Keto-Glutarate, Citrulline Malate, Beta-Alanine, Kre-Alkalyn, Tyrosine, Tyrosine AKG, Caffeine, Raspberry Ketones, L-Histidine, Theobromine) without the dosages. Regardless, it works well, I am just being picky!

Overall, It is an effective, cheap, preworkout with quality ingredients. I beleive some of the ingredients may be underdosed, but you can never know with scifits proclaimed "ph buffered delivery" lol. Anyways, I would recommend.

This was the second pre-workout I have taken. I did not like dark energy at all. I got a buy one get one free deal. I think the prices was 20$ if I'm not mistaken. Looking at the ingredient I thought it was going to be great product. ingredient profile: 4.48g of:

Arginine Alpha Keto-Glutarate, Citrulline Malate, Beta-Alanine, Kre-Alkalyn, Tyrosine, Tyrosine AKG, Caffeine, Raspberry Ketones, L-Histidine, Theobromine.

I really like the fact they incorporated kre-alkalyn into the pre workout. So since it had kre -alkalyn, I took Sci- fit's kre-alkalyn after my workout too. I did not notice really any strength gains. It also had beta- alanine in it. I did not receive a beta- alanine itch, which I love having. That was a big disappointment for me as well.

Taste : It tasted very sugary. I would mixed this with Gatorade because it tasted horrible with water. I did not like the taste unless it was mixed with Gatorade. I give the taste - 6.

Effectiveness: It was an energy product so it gives no pump. The first time I took it well it was ok. I got tons of energy. But, at the end of my workout I was cracked out of my mind… I took a heaping teaspoon of it just like it says on the label. I don't like the fact sci-fit did not give you a teaspoon with the dark energy. So I had to use my own. Slowly after the first time I took it, I received no energy what so ever but still got cracked out a little. So, I started taking a teaspoon and a half for a serving and then I read on here that nothing good would happen if I up the dosage. But, even when I upped the dosage I still felt no energy. So I went back to the normal dosage and felt nothing no energy at all. For all of you who dark energy worked for your lucky. I wish it worked for me. Effectiveness -4

Value - Well I got a great deal on dark energy- buy one get one free for about 20$ plus shipping. I got it when I first came of so that might be why it was a bad experience for me. But, anyways 20$ for two containers. Not a bad value. But the only thing that is wrong is it did not work of me. Value -7

Mixablity - Wow probably the worst mixablity ever… Any time I would mix it with Gatorade there would be white particles all over the Gatorade bottle or my shaker. At the bottom of my shakers would be a bunch of left over pre workout. Very bad mixing Mixablity - 4

I have used a lot of pre-workouts in the last few years, and honestly I can say this product is solid. When I first started to take it with 1 scoop it was alright. However, when I stacked it with some KRE ALYKAYN creatine and AMINO tabs from OPT NUTRTION. My workouts are insane, to bo honest with you, I have a hard time leaving the gym with the stack.

Taste- Definetly not really that great

Okay I have been lifting for a couple of years now and this is probably the greatest pre work out I have ever taken it has given me loads of energy and great focus I mean before I took this my work outs wernt as intense and now there just to the max to the last rep hard core and to be honest I didnt take it one day to see the difference and there was a give one I mean I wasn't the focused heavy lifting guy so instantly started taking it again. I give effectiveness a 10 and I value a 10 so overal this thing is a ten I love it and I suggest people to try it, it is amazing and will show results almost right away. Thanks for reading

it has almost no fillers and really good ingredients in the mix much better then jack3d

I am kind of a sucker for the new PWO. Don't even ask me how many of them I've tried, let's just say a lot. I probably have about 10 different kinds stacked in my cabinet right now, most of them half-full or full.

I picked this one when it was on sale on Supplement Warehouse, it was something like $15 for 50 servings. Can't get any better than that. At first, probably because it was so cheap, I didn't really consider this to be a good PWO, but I was wrong, this stuff is actually pretty good, I would actually rank it higher than Jack3D or at the very least put it on the same level.


Taste 7/10
It tastes like 90% of the concentrated PWOs. Really sweet, you can taste the caffeine and other stims. Just put it in the water and swallow the ***. Nothing to enjoy but it won't disgust you. I've tasted much worse than this.

Energy 9/10
I does give you pretty good energy boost but at the same time doesn't make you itchy. I usually take 1.5 - 2 scoops, just as I do with the Jack3D and the energy it gives me is enough to work-put for 1.5-2 hours.
Ingredients - 9/10
It has pretty strong ingredients profile (especially considering the price). You got everything you need in the pre-workout supp. It is something you want to cycle on and off (giving the stims that are in it). I would recommend adding a little creatine to the mix, perhaps 3 grams of mono and you got a very solid pre-workout supplement that will carry you over the hard workout and give you the energy and focus you need.

$15-20 for 50 servings? Come on son! You can't beat that. It’s pretty much the same sh**t as Jack, but for the half of the price. I was leery myself at first, thinking, the worst, I just threw away $15, but in the end, I prefer it over Jack3D. Its the best value out there. I actually like it better than the overpriced Neurocore from MuscleTech.
I know people complain about it clumping, but as long as you keep it away from the heat or moisture, it will be fine.


Overall:
I would recommend it. The worst that can happen, you will lose $20, the best that can happen, you will enjoy the product and wit will save you lots of money over buying similar PWOs for twice as much. One con, there is no measuring scoop, so I just use the 5g scoops I got from Jack3D, I got plenty of those.

browsing through the Bodybuilding.com store i was looking for a new PWO to try that i haven't had before and i decided to go with Dark Energy.

Ingredients: Dark Energy Proprietary Blend 4.48g Arginine Alpha Keto-Glutarate, Citrulline Malate, Beta-Alanine, Kre-Alkalyn, L-Tyrosine, L-Tyrosine AKG, Caffeine, Raspberry Ketones, L-Histidine, Theobromine, 1,3-Dimethylamylamine.

Effectiveness: this contains 250mg of caffeine per scoop, which is fairly high for most PWOs. Energy from this was good, focus was okay, it would last me through my usual 1 hour workout. i have a fairly decent tolerance to stims, it would make me jittery for a few minutes then go away. i was however disappointed with the fact that for Arginine and Citrulline to be the first two ingredients in it's blend, i barely noticed any kind of pump from this. effects seemed to wear off rather quickly than expected too.

Dosage/Mixability/Taste: 1 scoop 30-45min PWO, i eventually starting using 1.5/2 scoops due to i felt like it wasn't working as well as it initially was. i would use roughly 10-12oz of water, didn't break down the best, there was always some product left at the bottom of my cup. i had the Grape flavor, it was eh okay, i've had better and worst; strange after taste though.

Value: BB.com has 50 servings for $21.99, although at the time they were running a 20% off deal so i got mine a few bucks cheaper, which isn't a bad deal.

Overall: this was average to me at best, i still haven't found anything so far that's better than Cellucor C4 Extreme. 50 servings isn't bad for the price, but i had to use 1.5/2 scoop eventually, which lessened my servings. no pump really, mixability and taste could be improved, effectiveness wearing off faster than expected. it's worth trying for the first time because of the price/servings, but i'm not sure if i would purchase this again myself in the future.

On the advice of birdman, I stacked Dark Energy with Yok3d. USPLabs (manufacturer of Yok3d) also manufactures Jack3d, but I've been impressed with SciFit's other products, so I followed the advice and tried Dark Energy with Yok3d. I'm conservative with both products in this stack, only using them on heavy workout days. I take one scoop of Dark Energy about 30 minutes before workout. I didn't know what to expect... part of me worried that the substantial energy invested in these pre-workout supps would be found more in the hyperbole and marketing efforts than in the gym. However, I was amazed with the results. As mentioned, I only take one serving of the Dark Energy; no more than three times a week. I simply don't need any more to gain results. The extra energy that one serving supplies is impressive. No matter how tired and apathetic, even resistant, to training I am, I rally at the gym. I typically workout late at night-- after 10 a.m. After a full day, there are many excuses to postpone a workout. But dedication to a set exercise schedule, irregardless of the many excuses to procrastinate or postpone, ensures that I make the effort. Amazingly, less than an hour after taking that scoop of Dark Energy, I have no need or desire to entertain excuses. Not only am I energized in the gym, I'm enjoying the time in the gym. Amazingly, no matter how tired I was, when I've finished my routine workout, I am reluctant to leave. I've prolonged routines, sets and reps simply because I don't feel like quitting. Of course, there's the danger of over training. I've read that other people exCEEd the recommended dosage of this product, which can be dangerous. I cannot understand why anyone would need to overstep the manufacturer's recommendations, because the minimal amount is amply effective. The price isn't inexpensive, but I don't think it's outrageously exOrbitant, either. As far as taste goes, I can report on the apple flavor. It's a somewhat sweet and sour mix (which I don't mind-- actually, I like it). If you want additional sweetness, try mixing it with a whey protein to rev up your efforts. Unbeatable workout fuel.

Like many athletes/bodybuilders , a pre workout has become a staple for me, and with so many on the market, its great to find one that seems to really fit you. I found Dark Energy for $15 and being a fan of SciFit products, could not pass it up. I have tried Jack3d, Assault, Vasocor, and most recently 1MR. I think Dark Energy is my new favorite, not by a landslide, but a couple factors made it edge out the others. While I took Dark Energy, my only other supps were a Multi Vit, MyoFusion, Nitrox II, and an EC stack(althoough no caffine before the PWO).


Taste/Mixability: 9/10 I dont really care that much about taste compared to results, but I must say this stuff was perfect for me. I bought Green Apple, and what I liked the most about it was that the flavor was enjoyable whether I mixed it with 4 oz of water or 16 oz. It kinda reminded me of an apple airhead if anyone remembers what those tasted like. Mixed easily in a shaker with very little settling.


Dosing: I found my dosing strength with Dark Energy was comparable to other PWO's. My dose was 2-2.5 servings/scoops(1-3 recommended) 40 min pre workout.


Effectiveness:9/10 I took this along with Nitrox II. I took Nitrox II with most of my other PWO's as well. I noticed some beta tingles within about 10 minutes, and after about 30 min the stims kicked in and the energy was prominent for the rest of my workout and sometimes beyond. Dark Energy made it very easy to focus, and stay Motivated on even my least favorite exercises, which was one of the best things about it for me. I cant comment on the pumps, or lack there of because the Nitrox II took care of that.

Sides: Nothing negative that I noticed, unless sweating a little more than normal is negative. To me its not.

Value:9/10 $15 dollars for 50 servings. Enough said. I think it's gone up to $20, but still a great value IMO.

Results: I noticed mild strength gains while taking Dark Energy, and considering I was on a mild cut, I was happy. I was also very pleased with the motivation it gave me to push myself through a cycle of workouts that previosly I have had difficulty with.


I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the more potent PWO's like Jack3d, 1MR, and others. I thought it was really effective, and you cant beat the price. And last, but certainly not least, it contains Kre-Alkalyn!
