Is powder form better than pill form?

Does powder form absorb better than pill form, or there is absolutely no difference at all? I always wonder this for ever supplement that has both types to choose from.
Answer #1:
I wouldn't be concerned about the absorption. Caps in general may not have as much consistency in how they are filled (even though I'm sure it isn't that much different). You can't really tell that since they are sealed. I prefer the powder because I can see how much I am taking in the scoop every time and adjust if needed.

Honestly, I had the blue raspberry and it was very tasty. Another reason to like the powder!

Answer #2:
Powder is obviously going to be a little more directly absorbed because in cap form you have to wait for the cap to dissolve before its absorbed. This is probably a negligable time difference, however. The biggest difference is convenience and cost. Caps are more convenient, powder is usually much cheaper.

Answer #3:
Pros for Powder:
- will digest faster
- Can strictly monitor dosing to your liking

Cons for powder:
- Can sometimes taste extremely gritty
- More hassle

Pros for capsules:
- No taste, less hassle

Cons for capsules:
- Dosing can be off, depending on the company.

The differences are negligible though man. Your decision here won't make or break your progress.

Answer #8:
Manimal makes some great points pertaining to the pros and cons about each form. However, as he and everyone else who has answered your questions has made clear, the differences between the two generally don't impact absorption. Essentially, absorption is more influenced on how your own body may process it. I would suggest researching diet techniques when running creatine because there are some dietary techniques that you can follow that may create a more favorable environment for creatine absorption.
