Overall: 9 | Effectiveness: 9 | Value: 7
Recommended Not sure what else can be said about this that hasnt been said. Ive seen this dozens of times while browsing GNC but never bought it because my local GNC sells them for almost $5 each and all I ever saw was the 40g of protein. Finally GNC had lowered the price for 2 flavors so I picked up Alpine Punch after I read the back. Heres why I picked it up:

Protein: 40g
Calories: 160
BCAAs: 10,240mg

Thats honestly all I had to see since it was lowered to $2.59

Taste: 7.5/10 It has the same chalky after taste as some of the other proteins but if you can look past that part it becomes rather good.

Value: 7 only because of the ridiculously high price at my local GNC. If it wasnt for that I would rack this up to a 9, easily.

Effectiveness: 9 I havent finished a 12 pack or drank this every day for a month because of the insane price but the amount that I did have certainly helped reduce soreness after a grueling workout.
Pros:
Cons:
  • Reduced Soreness
  • Builds Muscle
  • Chalky Aftertaste
  • Too Expensive

Something I forgot to add, no Vitamin A or C, no Iron, and only 6% calcium which is a great thing for most of us as we are already (or should be) getting all we need from our sports multi. 0 Carbs is good or bad depending on your current goals so I cant really offer an opinion on that part.

Nice! I used your suggestion and bought a thing of apple melon and the grape as well, both only had 2 months left so they were cheap. Next time I hit the gym Ill try the apple melon, thanks for the suggestion

Recommended For years I always thought this stuff was over priced Gatorade and had no idea it was a protein drink. Before Iso i was a fan of Muscle Milk ready to drink. I was turned on to this stuff by a buddy who was a former Kansas football player. I had pretty bad gas fro the Muscle Milk but not with the Iso at all. There is NO aspartame or sugar. To top it off there are over 10,000mg of BCAA's so I got to save from buying Amino's separately.

Effectiveness: I put on 10 pounds of lean muscle and dropped 4% body fat on these. Very low sodium and easier to drink than any powder. However, these are not heavy protein drinks at all so I won't recommend them for a meal replacement b/c you will get hungry soon after. A small salad or some fruit will be handy.

Value: Most GNC's sell them for 3.30 but I have seen them marked as high as 4.

Overall: I will never use another protein. This stuff is the tits. It is as clean a protein as you will ever find.
Pros:
Cons:
  • Builds Muscle
  • Low Sodium

Recommended Hey everyone another protein rtd review. This is my first review for a Natures Best product. Most of us have seen these pretty much anywhere (gyms, health food store, etc). I have gone through about 2 cases of this stuff over the last year but only a bottle at a time.

Price=6 at around 4 dollars per bottle this stuff gets pricey. some places you can get it for like 3 bucks but u dont see that often.

effectiveness=9 you really cant ask for more here. its 100% Protein Isolate at 40g per bottle. if your counting cals or just trying to slim down a little this is way better than any of the milk shake counterparts.

profile=9 with only 160 cals, no fate low sodium no carbs no sugar and 40g of Protein Isolate this is a good profile. the only complaint is it is a ion exchange protein. which is considered to be a cheap way of processing protein.

Calories 160, Total Fat 0 g, Potassium 45 mg, Total Carbohydrate 0 g, Sugars 0 g Protein 40 g, Calcium 55 g, Sodium (as Citrate) 80 mg. Other Ingredients: Filtered Water, Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate, Maltodextrin, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Sucralose, Polysorbate 80, Phosphoric Acid, FD&C Blue # 1, FD&C Red # 40.

taste=8 this is ok, i have tried all the flavors except the teas and its really hit or miss. the mango peach and passion fruit are the best tasting to me where as the orange and grape are pretty bad.

I normally get these at my local gym on days where i forgot my shaker, forgot my protein, or if im just in a hurry. For those reasons I recommend these to anyone trying to watch their weight and get their post workout protein. The big problem is the price so id say try it but only if it is needed.
Pros:
Cons:
  • Builds Muscle
  • Too Expensive

Search the internet buddy. Some places sell them for around $3 bucks a pop.
