Nitro-Tech Hardcore is a basic whey protein that is marketed as being a 'Hardcore' product. Unfortunately, this is no different than any other whey protein product, and many aren't happy with the mix-ability of the product.

First protein I ever used (17yrs. old) and I stopped using protein powders until college...yeah that bad. Had to force it down it was so god awful, and never really got the muscle gains they promised on the label. About a year or so ago, they had a real good sale at GNC on all Muscle Tech products, and so bought NTH again and found out why I pay through the nose for BSN. The taste got worse and the results are still no where to be found. Used it like "the pros do"...which means 2 scoops 2-3 times a day, and the tub was gone in less than 2 weeks. I don't recommend this or anything Muscle Tech. I have yet to find anything worth while from them, and on top of that I've heard about some rather questionable methods they use to beef up their supps...so keep away.

Nitro-Tech is one of the staple proteins of the supplement industry. Purchased my 4 lb tub for $50 on Bodybuilding.com. 1 scoop serving size and 54 servings per 4 lb tub.
Chocolate Milkshake is pretty good and mixes fine in water and is great in milk.
If you got time throw in a scoop and a half with frozen berry blend, 1 banana, vanilla yogurt, 1 scoop peanut butter/nutella, some chocolate syrup for calories, and one cup milk... Enjoy!
Ingredients:
-25g protein per scoop.
-Creatine monohydrate
-standard BCAA Blend
-130 Calories
Nitro-Tech hardcore is a bit pricey compared to some of the huge Optimum Whey bags you can get or some Muscle Milk deals you can get at Costco.
It has everything you need. Proteins these days are basically all the same. The only thing that differentiates them is the BCAA blends, taste, and creatine.
I took one scoop in the morning, one scoop pre-workout, one scoop after workout, and one scoop before bed so that is 100 grams a day. Plus I eat a ton of protein in the form of grilled chicken.
This product really gave me what I needed to perform at a high intensity when I first got into power bodybuilding training. I would live heavy in the mornings, do bodybuilding sculpting/volumizing workouts after work, then go on a big run or do beach sprints after that.
Good product and would recommend it.
Fair and Honest,

| Ehh...It was probably a staple protein in the early 2000s..
Much better options now-a-days. This stuff just sits on the shelves and goes out of date at my GNC. |

I had been on this product since Jan '12.
I went through a 5 pound jug of vanilla, 3 2pound jugs of strawberry and a 2pound jug of vanilla. And what I can say is this: 1st I got it each time on sale. I wont buy ANY protein unless its on sale, this is why Im an employee at GNC, haha, discount! 2nd. Taste was legit, and I normally hate strawberry, but both flavors were excellent, I always liked it better with an oz or 2 less water though, and i was great mixed with milk, whole milk I prefer, sometimes add a banana and a scoop of crunchy peanutbutter for that extra protein, blend and done. 3. may sound gross, but i noticed a big difference in the old number two when it came to my digestive system, proving to me I was absorbing the protein much more. 4. most important, I saw a big difference in my stength and appearence, and 4 people in the gym this past week have commented on my size and how good I look, my shoulders and chest I saw the most gains. I dont lift for power because I am a Kicker, I lift for explosion and flexability, and Im always trying for that "lean" look, so I would for sure say this product helped with that. I also improved my bench by 25pounds in 12-weeks, Im up to 5x5 at 175 bench press, up from 150-155. and my over head press is up to 8x8 at 100pounds I started with 65. I say try this product if the price is right, I enjoyed it

I really do not understand the negative comments in this site about this product.
I've been used too many wheys for 6-7 years and it is the MOST EFFECTIVE whey powder.
Builds muscle, gives you strenght, tastes good and mixes well.
No acnes, no aspartam, no fart, no foam
Good muscle strenght, good taste, good gains.
So what?
Chocolate milkshake taste is 8,5/10 (can be liked by anyone)
Cookies Cream tastes 10/10 (one of the most delicious)
Strawberry 3/10 tastes awful and feels like gonna puke.
Maybe it is not perfect as written on the label but it is the most effective that I use

If you can find it cheap nitro tech is a solid post workout protein. The problems are in the price and taste department. I have used this product off and on for more than a decade and it does a solid job of refueling your muscles and helping repair and build muscle. It doesn't do what the label says it will and if you don't get chocolate or cookies and cream it tastes like underpants but it will work for you. My best results have come from using nitro tech on my workout days as a post shake and using something like dymatize elite or cnp all american whey for just extra intake. As usual expect to get out of it what you put in. If you bust it in the gym and time the intake of this stuff correctly, it will work for you. If you slack off you wont gain a thing.

How muscle tech is still in business is really beyond me. I tried this and cell tech hardcore and neither 1 did anything for me. You are honestly better off just lifting and take nothing than take this garbage. In 4 weeks, lifted 5 days a week, this did absolutely nothing. Dont buy this, or any other supplement that says muscle tech on it, its a waste of money and time

This is basically the force factor of protein.
Taste:5. not that bad, but not the best. must be mixed with milk to taste decent.
Value:1. way overpriced. walmart protein is better.
results:2. no results whatsoever. maybe a bench increase.
overall:3. Not the worst supplement, but not worth the price. It adds a tire to your belly, gives head rush and stomach aches, and isn't a good product.hydro whey is the best, and its the same price as this product. what a scam.

| Hey bud I need your honest opinion, should I buy this the GNC by my house has it on discount for 20.00. Is it worth it then? I'm broke but do not want stomaches from my protein. Do you normally tolerate protein supplements well? Or was this a Nitro-tech brought on symptom? Thanks! |

| i honestly would never buy this product its that bad. ive taken many proteins but have never had stomach aches or headrush from a product. also, after this review i received heart palpitations(feeling of irregular heartbeat). in your budget, gold standard whey buy optimum nutrition is the best. it runs about $25 a jug $20 with a gold card.from my experience, its a better product that helps build muscle. also, check out other products tat are not made by muscletech(if you go to muscletechs page on this site, you will see all their products recieve low ratings). ask the manager for his thoughts to, as the gnc people arn't the bad people their made out to be.hope this helps man. |

 Do not buy it.
Six-Star is less expensive and it never messed with my heartbeat (Not much couple off beats stopped the Nitro Tech and heart beat was fine till I tried it again.)
I got it cheap because of expiration date and I remember looking at full retail Price($?) and you have gotta be kidding.
Serious I would have to think hard if I was 5lbs free. Do I drink it or do I flush it?

| Six star and muscle tech are literally the same company. iovate health sciences own both of them. They also owned muscle asylum, which I believe was shut down within its first year. |

| I thought most people know about the Lovate Health connection, which is why I said buy Six-Star. Having tried both the whey and the muscle shake, I recommend Six-Star over Nitrotech. No heart palpation and it is cheaper. However, there are most definily better products at better prices |

Nitro-Tech and Nitro-Tech Hardcore, what’s the difference? Nothing.
I can tell you what makes them exactly the same, after consuming Nitro-Tech prepare to see your belly increase in size. As a whey-protein supplement with some creatine, it was effective in developing lean muscles but there are other brands that do the same or even better at a much lower cost.
As for the strength increase please don’t believe what muscle tech tells you at the back of the Nitro-Tech container. Your strength will increase naturally if you constantly work out in the gym. I absolutely don’t see the connection between Nitro Tech and a strength increase.
In terms of mixability, Nitro Tech doesn’t mix well. I had to put another serving of water for it to mix properly as it was like mixing sand.
In terms of taste, Nitro Tech hardcore taste absolutely horrible even with strawberry flavor. Although Strawberry flavor was better than the Chocolate flavor.
As I said again Nitro Tech Hardcore will develop your lean muscles, provide you with a pot belly and of course put a lot of holes in your wallet/pocket. I would suggest purchasing other brands that are more effective and much cheaper.
