The reason I gave this a 9 for value is because I got it for about $10 at GNC; if I were forced to pay full price the value would be no where close to that 9.
Taste: I had the vanilla flavor and thought it was actually quite delightful. I've read a lot of reviews where people are complaining about the taste, and I can't say anything about any flavors other than vanilla, but like I said, the vanilla really was darn good. It had a real good texture as well, sometimes I mixed in milk, other times in water, and either/or the taste & texture was actually quite nice.
Mixability: No problems at all mixing. The taste was a little strong for my liking so I would generally add a bit more water/milk than the directions called for, so I think this helped with the mixability and kept the clumping at bay.
Effectiveness: I can't really vouch for how effective this stuff is because I did not use it as a stand alone type protein. I added this to my diet without removing my staple protein powder, so its fairly hard to judge how effective this stuff was.
Conclusion: Like I said I've seen a lot of bad reviews on this stuff, and that kind of surprised me because this product was not bad by any stretch of the imagination IMO. I mean, it wasn't the best protein I've ever purchased or anything, but it was no where near the worst either. I would buy this again if the opportunity arrived, if I could find a great price on it like I did. I wouldn't pay $30 for it though, because you don't get too many servings for your buck. In closing, I didn't mind this protein, but probably won't be buying again, simply because there are better powders out there that are more cost effective and taste just as good.

I purchased 2 tubs for 30$ being it had good reviews on the site i bought from, an i don't know how i can be civilized about this but i'll try.
The nicest way i would describe this product is have everyone in your entire town take a **** in your toilet without flushing an then get your shaker cup an enjoy.

Only thing this product did was turn my mood into a barbaric state.

this stuff is GARBAGE! stay away form this crap, i was at right aid and i saw this was on sale for like 22 dollars and since i was itching to try a new protein product i decided to give it a try, let me just say as far as taste goes it was by far the worst tasting protein i have ever tasted, it was extremely thick, and i didnt get no gains, do your self a favor and get your self some Optimum nutrition products.

Freak Fix was total garbage. I really regret buying this stuff. I bought a 2lbs. jug of this stuff from GNC. After all the discounts, I managed to get a hold of it for about $10. I didn't really read the label. I just grabbed it, and bought it.
It turns out that Muscle Asylum Project is made by Iovate, which is the same parent company of MuscleTech. There are a lot of similarities between these two companies. They both make a lot of tall claims, that are too good to be true (e.g. "Scientifically superior protein matrix." "Redesigning the science of muscle delivery." and "Test subjects built 15 times more muscle.").
I don't think that the protein in this stuff is anywhere near as advanced as they claim. I really didn't gain any more muscle than I would have gained without this stuff.
The other thing that I didn't like about this stuff is the fact that one serving is two big scoops. In a twelve ounce shaker, two scoops of this stuff comes out like pudding. Two of these scoops are a whole lot of powder to only contain 34 grams of protein. One of these servings also contain 75 mg of cholesterol. 34 grams of protein would normally be a pretty good dose; but with a serving of this stuff, there is a lot of other garbage to go along with your 34 grams of protein.
I am thankful that my jug is finally finished. I will stay away from Freak Fix, and everything else that Muscle Asylum Project or Iovate makes.

why does everybody *** about gas and the taste if your taking something like this then you have some sort of bodybuilding goals I mean I'm on the crapper 3 or 4 times a day I don't care how many times a day do you think ronnie coleman or Jay cutler are on the crapper

WTF? What's up with the negative reviews? If you don't like the taste of THIS product, then you don't like Chocolate Milk Shakes. It is BY FAR THE best tasting protein on the market? I buy mine for $23/bottle. Just HOW is that "overpriced?" Lots of good stuff in there, and I've noticed serious gains using this. Also, it doesn't make me S__T like a goose either. The 34 grams of protein is THE PERFECT amount of protein that my liver can handle without feeling like a grenade was let loose in my tummy. Come on, this IS good stuff. I've been using various proteins in the market for over 25 years. This is GREAT stuff people!!!

i only bought this because it was buy one get one 50% off at GNC and i say well i will give a try because of what this tub say of the best tasting protein, dont get fat get freaky another marketing from MuscleTech, when i finish mi first tub i didnt feel any different maybe a little more strength but not muscle size. and when you see the ingredients this protein have they are all weird all made up, and the taste was ok nothing different

I've been using this for a few months and i've been getting pretty good gains from it. I thought the only down sides were the taste(which is pretty funny since they're basically bragging on the container of how great it tastes) and of course the price(but you can just get it cheap online) Because of the great gains i've been getting off it I think it's a good product.

This stuff is way to overpriced for 10 servings you get and surprise this company is owned by muscle tech so that may explain it. I didn't notice anything special and wow this product is really thick and hard to chug down. The taste is ok, nothing to brag about taste similar to oreos kinda sorta I guess. But for what it does and how much it costs doesn't seem like a good investment.

This stuff tastes horrible! I had strength and mass gains that are logical for using protien/creatine mixture. I would not buy this stuff again. Don't waste your money on this.
