Alright! Who's ready for the FIRST REVIEW on the relatively new product
NO2 Red Hemo Surge? I started taking this product after abstaining from
pre-workout products for a while. I got this product along with
C4 Extreme as a buy one get one 50% off sale at
GNC. For the sake of science and since no one has yet posted a review on this, I decided to use this one first since I had been off of the stims for a while and I would notice maximum benefits from this product. Starting with the ingredients:

Right off the bat the "proprietary blend" makes me a little mad. The blend contains 3 COMPLETELY different mixes, the NO
Booster, the Power Complex, and the energy
Booster. I personally like to know how much caffeine and stims im putting in my body and the closest thing this does is somewhere on the label is a warning about how each serving has the equivilent to 2 cups of coffee so im guessing there is about 160 mg of caffeine.
This blend does contain many of the ingredients that are beneficial in a
preworkout, such as
Citrulline Malate, beta-alanine,
taurine, and all of the NO's they have. The thing that bugs me the most is that the container only has 20 servings in it and after about a week I was taking a full scoop, so this product only lasted me about 3 weeks.
Effectiveness (5/10): When I started taking this product the ONLY place I got pumps was in my forearms. I would be on my first workout of the day, say bicep curls and by the second set I was getting really painful pumps in my arms, not just hey my arms are swole, but PHOO this HURTS. It was more of a hindrance to my workout than a benefit.
Focus (4/10): I actually felt more scatter-brained and jittery while I was on this product. Cant say for sure if it was caused by this but it didnt really help.
Taste (5/10): I had the Berry Blizzard and the flavor lived up to its name. It tasted like someone dropped a menthol cough drop in a cup of Kewlaide. It was gross...I would almost prefer drinking the
Cycle Assist that I did a previous review on (go look at it!).
Value (4/10): I did get this on sale so it cost roughly 24 bucks, but
Jack3d is cheaper and more effective. On top of that, 20 servings? Seriously? Make it 15, cuz I went to a full scoop halfway through. Not worth it.
Overall (4/10): Lets see...20 servings is not good, MOST of pump is in forearms, not all of it but most of it. Proprietary blend... BOOO I haven't tried C4 yet...that's next, but looking at the label, it at least separates most of the ingredients except for the energy blend, and even in that it tells you how much caffeine is in it.
My overall opinion? Skip this, get some
Jack3d or C4. Im tellin ya right now this stuff isnt worth it.
