i had a few boxes of these in the past, never wrote a review on it so i thought i'd do a quick short one.
Ingredient Profile(per 1 bar): 260 calories, 7g fat, 370mg sodium, 200mg potassium, 34g carbs, 25g sugar, 16g protein, various vitamins and minerals(check GNC.com if you want the exact amounts). a few things i dislike, low in protein IMO, high sugar content and it could come down on the fat a little too.
Taste: i've had the peanut butter, chocolate crisp and cookies n' creme. all of which taste really good, obviously because of the 25g sugar. texture is good, chewy and not tough like alot of other bars out there, no weird after taste either. the peanut butter was my favorite, although all of them were good.
Effectiveness: i mainly used these as a snack or if i couldn't get my hands on some food at the current time. it didn't feel me up or anything due to the lack of fiber, but it did make for a decent snack. not ideal for post workout but a few times i didn't feel like taking a shake so i just scarfed down one or two of these. sat well on the stomach, surprisingly for it being high in sugar it didn't upset my stomach.
Value: 24 bars for $20.93 with a Gold Card, which is actually a decent deal for the amount of bars you get.
Overall: Defiantly not the best bar out there, but it okay as a quick snack for some easy to grab n' go protein/carbs and cals. i might grab another box in the future, nothing special that i would go out of my way to get though. i suppose it's better than eating a bunch of junk foods you find in your local grocery stores or a gas station.
