Maybe Recommended Got this 180 ct bottle for a mere 6.99 (mark-down plus my employee discout) and at that price I will try anything that claims to build muscle.. The stats list per 6 pills (one serving) provides 3 grams of L-Leucine, 180mg of caffeine, Capsicum fruit + Black pepper extract- What this tells me that its 2 products in one, A) its a protein synthesis stimulator- L-leucine is one of the most important BCAA's to consume, if your goal is muscular Hypertrophy then Leucine should be high on the list of supps in your arsenal, B)Caffeine, Capsicum and Black pepper give this prod a Thermogenic effect on the body as well.. (i.e. caffeine is a potent strength booster too!) I would opt to have a Leucine prod WITHOUT caffiene, these days there are such advanced pre-workout prods out there that it isnt really necessary for a protein synthesis stimulating product, and when i took the full dose i got slight heartburn.. but it worked decent when i stacked with Creatine 189 pre-workout, sipped Extend BCAA product during workouts and drank a Monster Milk RTD post workout- my workouts were strong from start to finish and the extra Leucine helps with post workout protein synthesis- you can feel the reduced DOMS, thus allowing you to recover quicker leading to more muscle in the long run. So for the mark down price i would def recommend, but be ready for sum Heartburn!

Cons:
  • Protein Synthesis

Maybe Recommended This is one of the few GNC products that I had a good experience with while I was taking their stack a year ago. This worked well as a thermo and was a great pre-workout. My biggest complaints were the number of pills required (6) and heartburn from using this product. I drank a LOT of water while using this and other products, but I have used this twice as part of a pre-workout and I have experienced bad heartburn for both of the times I was on this product. The heartburn got worse over time and I finished the last bottle and never had a problem with it again. I know there are all sorts of pepper extracts in here, but I was drinking tons of water and still experiencing this. The effects at the gym were good, and similar to many other pre-workouts thermos, but not good enough to justify massive heartburn. If you can get past the number of caps required and don't get heartburn easily this isn't a half bad GNC product.

Recommended i tried this product for the first time today and i did gain alot of energy and i wanted to keep going but about 45 minutes into my workout i didnt feel like i wanted to keep going i totally lost that energy burst that i had before so maybe instead of waiting 45 minutes to work out after i take it, ill just take it and start working out 15 minutes after and yes i did take it with food and i was drinking alot of water because i mean im taking 6 pills im pretty sure i would need a good amount of water but i dont know everything i was just guessing but overall i was pretty satisfied wit my workout but ill just try it sooner and ill inform you guys with the rest of my results.

NOT Recommended This was a supplement that came with a boxed package I purchased at my local GNC store, otherwise I never would have picked it up. First of all, the side effects of this are awful. Its like someone stuffed pepper spray into a pill, because regardless of how much water you take in, you are almost guaranteed to experience a feeling that I can only describe as avery unpleasant pepper acid reflux. It ruined it for me. Leucine is an important amino to get into your system, but this is not the way to do it. Cost was nil, it came in the set, but if you are considering buying as a stand alone, find something else.

Maybe Recommended I will begin with stating the fact that I'm undecided on whether or not I would recommend this supplement. It is a thermogenic and let's be honest, it's 6 pills. If you do not drink enough water after taking these, your body WILL let you know. If you supplement this, PLEASE drink a sufficient amount of water.
Effectiveness - 5 (any thermogenic that isn't loaded with caffiene serves the same purpose - to make you heat up more quickly)
Value - 40$ at a local GNC (blah, won't be purchasing again :)
Overall - 6 (anyone looking for a pre-workout boost either standalone or in conjuction with a pre-workout nitrous will find it. GNC products are typically way too expensive so I'd search around alternatives before purchasing this)

NOT Recommended I never really found these to be too effective. I bought them for my cutting phase because I was looking for a substitute for cramming down several hundred carb-heavy calories pre-workout. The "energy" I got from these pills was insufficient to maintain the kind of workouts I had when I was consuming more calories. I also got sick of taking them really fast. Taking six pills at a time was laborious and usually upset my stomach, making my workouts uncomfortable. I tried breaking the pills open and mixing them with whey, which was a terrible idea. All of the pepper extracts make the contents spicy and disgusting and the powder just kind of floats on top of liquid rather than mixing. All in all, I feel like Leucine XT is more trouble than it's worth. If you want leucine, just buy BCAA pills or powder and if you want energy, just eat more.

Recommended Good thermogenic aide supplement. Not as powerful as some of the more expensive pre-workout boosters ( ie. nanovapor, NO-explode) but, will give you decent energy for your workouts. The cost/value is the best in comparison.
No bad taste left from the pills but will give you slight heartburn if you don't drink plenty of water (at least 2 glasses). In comparison nanovapor requires at least three times the water intake (at least 5-8 glasses) or you will have a severe upset stomach. Take this at least 45min/1hour prior to working out for optimal results.
