Amplified Creatine XXX

  By: GNC

I just finished up 2 tubs of AMP Creatine XXX and since i'm back into lifting after a years break to deal with some personal stuff, I decided to write a review for my SR people.

Profile (8/10)
10g creatine complex containing mono and aminos to help you produce creatine on your own, 7g amino acid complex, and 33g of dextrose per 2 scoops. I ran 2 scoops right after my workout, followed up by AMP WB60. The profile to me isn't anything revolutionary, but it gets you what you need right after a workout:sugar, creatine, and aminos. They also threw in 30mg of ResVida trans-reservatrol,...

They also threw in 30mg of ResVida trans-reservatrol, an antioxidant used to combat free radical damage after your workout.

Taste/Mixibility (10/10
The taste for me was surprising, I had a tub of pink lemonade and blue raspberry. The blue raspberry was very good, but the pink lemonade was OUT OF THIS WORLD. By far the best tasting supplement I have ever tried. If you have ever tried Country Time Pink Lemonade mix, you know exactly what I'm talking about. This was very refreshing after a hard workout and something I would look forward to. Mixing wise, I had no problems mixing together and had very little grit on the bottom.

Results (9/10)
I know some of the results had to come from just being back into the gym after a long lay off, but I doubt that my gains would have been this quick, had I not been taking this supp. After about 2 months of going at it, I feel like I'm pretty close to being where I was a year ago. My supp regiment now is only Anavite, Fish, Cissus, C4, this and the WB60. Very happy with the results I have obtained in such a short time.

Value (7/10)
Value wise, yes it is GNC, but with BOGO and your GC you can get 2 tubs for 48$. I only would use it post-workout, so it lasted 40 workouts. That figures out to a little more than a buck per workout, there is better deals, but thats not bad. To me though, the product worked, therefore it was worth it.

Overall (9/10)
I really liked this product, I was working at GNC but left the company before this product came out. When I went back in to grab some stuff, I saw this on the shelf and decided to give it a try. I was glad I did, I have seen great results with it.
 Pros:
 Cons:
  • Great Recovery
  • Tastes Amazing
  • Easy Mixing

Welcome back, joe. Good to see ya again mah man.

I've bought GNC's Amp creatine three times now, and I don't see myself getting a new one any time soon. I buy it at my local GNC for $40, which lasts about 4-6 weeks.

Taste isn't an issue typically with creatines, but this one is very tasty, and mixes very easily.

The reason this creatine stands out is that it's got something like 30g of carbs per serving. The bottle says to take after workout, but I like it before sometimes if I haven't eaten a carb heavy meal. Either way, it provides either quick fuel or replenishes glucose levels.

    I gave the value a 6 because...

I gave the value a 6 because with JUST creatine (nothing added), you can buy 6 months' worth for the same price through Dymatize, which can be mixed very well with protein (unlike this stuff). So it depends on what you're looking for, I personally use both, depending on whether or not I want a carb boost in a fruity flavor vs just creatine in my post workout protein shake.

Also, remember to cycle this stuff! I typically cycle 6 weeks on 6 off, not sure if that's the best or healthiest way to do it, but I think that's playing it pretty safe.

Playing it safe is the best way to go.

Good product, mixes well and dosent taste bad. This product didn't tear up my stomach as straight creatine monohydriate does. No bloating. Gained muscle and size not anything like creatine from the 90's.
