I heard about this stuff from a friend anybody have any opinions on it? Would you recommend it?

should i get some of the Gladiator protein or Optimum Nutritions Pro Complex? And if i get the pro complex will it make me gain weight, excess fat?

Pro Complex is tough to be and the highest rated product on here.  It is a great mix of different proteins and can be used in a variety of ways- Morning, pre-workout, post-workout, a snack between meals, and even at night since it has slow digesting proteins.
