Description
Muscle Milk is one of the most versatile and popular protein supplements on the market today. It contains a high quality protein blend and an impressive amino acid profile. One of of the selling points is the inclusion of the fat blend that has been scientifically backed to help promote fat burning and muscle growth. While this is a good blend for between meals or a pre-workout meal, it is far from an ideal choice for post workout.

Recommended This is actually the first Protein Powder that I liked. The others just didn't have a great taste to them. I like the Chocolate flavor best. It smells just like cake mix and it tastes like chocolate milk without the grainy after taste of other formulas. I also use it with water. At first, I thought it would taste terrible without milk, but I was very surprised. I also wanted to cut down on the extra fat since there is about 12g of fat (leanlipids) already in a serving.

I give it 9's for now because I am finishing my first tub and have yet to see significant results, though I can feel a difference. I take it three times a day to make sure my body gets a steady dose of protein for my weight gain goals. Of course, it is much more expensive at GNC (about $50), but I was able to get it for half that price at Amazon.com. Definitely worth the money though.
Pros:
Cons:
  • Tastes Great
  • Good Beginner Protein.
  • Good For Bulking Or For Meal Replacements
  • Helps Promote Good Health
  • Not All Bad Fats (canola)
  • But Still High For A Protein Drink.
  • High Carbs/fat

Damn GNC is overpriced. The only time people on this site shop at GNC is when it has a good sale with gold card with BOGO.

Recommended If you try this product for the first time I highly recommend the cookies and cream flavor...it is way better than the chocolate and tastes pretty much like a milk shake you would get at an icecream shop. I use Muscle Milk for a breakfast shake and before bed. It tastes really good with milk and decent with water. It has a combination of whey and casein protein as well as a bunch of vitamins and minerals so its a good "all in one" product. I have burned through 2 of the 2.48lb tubs in 3 weeks and I plan to get more for sure. Taste has a huge effect on how often you will use a product or whether you will keep using i at all...with this one that's no problem. Lastly, I seem to remember Muscle Milk going for over $40 for a 2.5lbs tub and now they are only 20-25 which is just slightly more than cheap brands like bodyfortress.

Cons:

  • Tastes Great
  • Good Beginner Protein.
  • Good For Bulking Or For Meal Replacements
  • Cheap

Recommended I Have been taking Muscle Milk for 2 months and I have seen + results. I blend 2 scoops with a banana and a tsp of peanut butter. I take that in the morning along with a fiber one bar and I take one somewhere before bed. My post work out is Re-built MASS (3 scoops). So my daily routine is:
Morning: Muscle Milk shake (2 scoops, banana & P.B) w/ fiber one bar

Afternoon: Pre work out - 3000mg of L-Agrnine (3 caps) w/2 scoops of Jack3d

*work out*

Post workout: Re-built MASS (3 scoops) w/ banana.

Before bed: Muscle Milk shake W/ 2 GNC MultiVitiamsv(sport)

This stack has so far worked for me like a charm..Im getting comments all the time at work and in the gym. Im also on a very good diet..lots of fruits and veggiesb(fresh).

-Please leave any comments or suggestions on this stack and daily routine...Im always looking for better ways to enhance myself and my workouts.

Recommended I have tried literally hundreds of protein powders through my years and I must say that Muscle Milk holds its own special place in my soul. Aside from wide myriad of flavors available at the consumers disposal, the ingrediants in Muscle Milk is why I chose to buy it. It WORKS! I honestly must vent for a second and say I get so tired of hearing people gripe and grumble and moan and groand and complain about the "taste" of supplements. Hello?! Didn't anyone tell you guys that your not drinking this stuff because it tastes good, if ya want margaritas go get some frikkin margaritas! If you wanna get big and strong, if you wanna be a freak in the gym and outside of the gym, your not gonna get that way by b*****in about your protein's taste. When I started workin out back in the late 90's when I was 14-15 there were no great tasting proteins available like Muscle Milk. Nope, it was plain and simple ole GNC chocholate or vanilla, and if ya didn't like chocolate and if ya didn't like vanilla you were S.O.L. So please, guys, if you can't handle the "taste" of your protein then you shouldn't be lifting weights at all cuz the iron is no place for whiners. (Sorry to be venting but as many reviews as I read where people are boohoo'in about taste i just have to say something. Anyway, back to the Muscle Milk. This stuff is heavenly. Works like a charm. Overall an incrediable product from Cytosport. And the good news...if you don't like one of the flavors you still have another 90 to choose from. Stay safe hitting the iron and don't let the iron hit you back.

Recommended This is the best tasting protein supplement I have tasted. Probably not the best for people trying to loose weight. Really fantastic after a hard workout. The price is pretty competitive with other proteins. I did not experience put on any extra fat and I was eating their protein bars, drinking the powdered and ready prepared drinks.

I do not mean to bash you or the drink at all, and dont take me in a wrong way but Muscle Milk sales have went down, read my review on it and you'll understand and protein bars contain lots of sugar, just buy another tub instead.

NOT Recommended My name is Mohammad and this is my very first review, I am very active with my workout schedule, although I am very new to the protein powder intake world, I have noticed differences, I'm not going to lie this product isn't the worse but it definitely isn't the best, I have read facts stating that this product contains lead, arsenic, and candium, obviously these three substances have no good use for you on a diet.

16 proteins per scoop isn't too bad, but when it comes down to it, you can get better and cheaper products, after my first tub, my muscles are harder but I feel as if I have gained weight at the end of a workout and after eating.

The flavor is amazing, I got one tub of chocolate flavor, and it was just like drinking yohoo chocolate milk.

The mixability of the product isn't very great, the product would sometimes get stuck on the side of my shaker bottle.

The price is cheap but it is overpriced I believe do to the fact that this product contains nonmuscle building substances, arsenic, candium and lead should never be found in anything consumable!!!! also, this goes for the Myoplex products, chocolate especially!!!!
Comments are amazing so please comment and PM.

Maybe Recommended Ive been using this product for three weeks now for the first time .I only use it on my work out days before and after work workout as an energy booster and it works!!.I wake up eveyday at 0600 am to get to work and when i finally go to the gym at 1500 i m exhausted before i start working out.So i dont mind the low proteins gram per serving as i get all the energy i need. For hours after workouts i feel full and i m not starved even if i cut down my calorie intake from real food so i dont see how i loose in definition due to the 300 calories from each serving. However i beleieve the hype about lead and cadmium high levels and this fact combined with the high price of Muscle Milk will prevent me from byuing it again.

Recommended Great tasting protein(Cookies & Creme!!!!) seriously like a real milkshake. Its LACTOSE FREE which is always a good thing and has vitamins and minerals in it! It could definently use more protein like 40grams for those 2 scoops instead of 32grams also probably more amino's would be great but overall its a great product itself as it is.

Recommended Muscle Milk has gotten me pretty far along. I started taking it after morning workouts while in highschool and it helped me recovery quickly and served as my breakfast several times a week. Muscle Milk has so many flavors and I have not tried one I did not like and it does taste just like a milkshake. It is a really good beginner protein, very taste Driven, but be aware that it has a lot of fat and calories (which may explain why it tastes so good)
