Recommended I have tried just about every low carb energy drink known to man. That being said, Spike is actually one of my favorites.

Taste: 9/10
I hear a lot of complaints about the taste of this drink, but in my opinion, I think all flavors actually are pretty dang good.

Ingredients: 10/10
A give this a perfect score because most energy drinks lack in the stimulant department. That's what we're after right? Spike has 300 mg caffeine, and even have yohimbine hcl in it. If you have ever taken yohimbine, you know that stuff is the real deal. This drink also packs a bunh of B vitamins which aids in energy.

Effects: 9/10
I have a high tolerance to stims, but this drink always gets me going. It could be probably be attributed to the combo of caffeine and yohimbine hcl. Keep in mind if you are sensitive to caffeine or stimulants, then be careful drinking this. I suggest drinking about half a can and gauging your tolerance. Although I have a high tolerance, this stuff always gets my heart rate going.

Not only does my energy inrease while taking this, but my focus does as well.

Price: 8/10
This drink is hard to find (only sold online or in supp shops), but is actually in my gym. Consequently, the price is a little steep when buying individually. However, considering the price of energy drinks in the store, you definitely get what you pay for here.

Value: 9/10
This goes hand in hand with the price. Not many drinks have a potent concoction of 300 mg caffeine, yohimbine, and massive amounts of B vitamins.

Overall this is probably my favorite energy drink, although I don't have one often. If you want a burst of energy and great focus, I recommend this drink. As always, be careful if you are sensitive to caffeine or stims.
Pros:
Cons:
  • High Dose Of Caffeine
  • Yohimbine Hcl
  • Crisp Focus
  • Increased Energy

Recommended I had an owner of GNC hand me a four pack of Spike to test and give him an honest review. The cost to me was nothing but I saw he had it for 2.00 a can. He told me he has heard mixed reviews from customers but mostly good.

I am a stim/cns advocate and have experience witht redline, headshot, 5hr, redbull, rockstar etc.. original Redline in the aluminum can was an all time favorite until now.

Spike tasted like strawberry jello and had no aftertaste like most sugar free drinks. I sipped the drink during my workouts in between heavy sets while also drinking water.

The energy I felt was smooth and steady, no heart palps like with some stims. No analgesic headache either. I was very pleased with the steady energy I felt throughout the workout.

Again the can is only 8oz's but I made it last about 45min taking small sips between sets, usually around 14-16 sets. The rush of energy was evident to my workout crew who noticed shorter rest periods and personal bests on a few lifts.

I am in pretty good shape overall for my age and have become quite tolerant to stims. I believe taking the spike drink slowly helped me maintain my focus and strength better than most pre-workout supps I have used... jack3d, 1mr, black powder etc.

Like most supps, some work better for others and some don't. Spike worked well for me and it will be a staple for heavy leg n back day.

At 2.00 a shot it's not the most cost effective but if I use it sparingly on dragging @$$ days it will be worth it.

NOT Recommended The Spike energy drink is one of the worst I've ever consumed. Here's the review:

Taste: 9 of 10. This is pretty self-explanatory. The drink taste's pretty good.

Energy: 5 of 10: When I took the drink, I was energized for around 30 minutes. However, for some reason, this substance gave me some serious palpations. I don't get these from other supplements. This can't be good.

Crash (or lack there of): 1 out of 10: I crashed around an hour after taking it. This is useless. What's the point of taking an energy drink if a crash this bad comes bundled up with taking it?

Im my opinion, this supplement should be skipped. It's a waste of money, time, and a workout. Take this stuff before a workout and you probably won't finish your session.

Recommended If you love stims like me then you'll prolly enjoy Spike. 200mg of caff and 200mg of thiamin is a perfect blend. Gives you good smooth energy and focus. No jitters.

Could be used for work instead of a workout.
Not as cost effective as you would like but it works so who cares.

Maybe Recommended I tryed a can of SPIKE once because I heard it was suppose to be really good. I felt a lot of energy off this stuff right away and I was really buzzing. I thought the taste of this stuff was not very good though. I tryed the lemon line flavor. After about half way through my workout I started to get an upset stomach and my focus was a little cloudy. I heard from another guy that had the same things happen to him after he drank a couple of them. I was taking to the manager at the GNC store I go to a lot and she said she has had the same complaints about this stuff from other people that I had. She think the reason people are getting up set stomachs is because it has a lot of B12 vitamins in it and that is to much to take all at once.

Recommended If you buy it by the case then the value becomes a little better. I personally think it is one of the better pre-made energy drinks or pre-workout products. The taste is pretty good, I like the Lime flavor over the fruit punch. Can be at times a little too carbonated. Does contain a good amount of caffeine and Yohimbe and most likely shouldn't be taken by anyone that has a sensitive to stimulants or hasn't taken stimulant products before.

Recommended This stuff is ridiculous. It manages to fit 300mg of caffeine into a 8oz bottle yet still taste okay. It tastes like carbonated child's cherry cough medicine which is surprisingly good. I drank one of these with a bottle of bawls and was shaking and talking like I was coked out. So I suggest you take the recommend amount of one can and one can only. They have another product called Spike Shotgun which is basically a bigger watered down version of the Spike Shooter for the same price. The Spike Shotgun is not worth it unless you really like the taste of Spike. I recommend this to anyone who wants a real rush of energy but if you are sensitive to caffeine you may become uncomfortable so always start with a half can.
