SSIN Juice is
BioRhythm's stab at a concentrated
pre-workout formula. I was very skeptical about this product due to it obviously being a
Jacked clone and from how much I disliked their other
pre-workout Arnge Crush, but through a nice hookup from my bro at
Nutrition Zone, I decided to give it a try.
Effectiveness: 9.2/10
The first dose of
SSIN Juice that I tried, I was very pleased with. I had intense focus, a strong tingle from the beta-alanine, and a decent pump. To get a thorough feel of all that
SSIN Juice had to offer in terms of effectiveness, I rotated workouts of running it as a stand alone on some days and on the others, stacking it with Bodyfuel's
Nitro Active. I definitely preferred the stack with
Nitro Active, so if it's a good pump you're looking for, then you will want to pair it up with a complimentary product.
Taste: 8.1/10
I got this product a few days before it hit shelves, so at the time the Citrus flavor is all they had. Upon first taste, you could definitely tell that not much of the products blend wasn't devoted to flavoring, which I didn't mind. The taste reminded me of watered down orange juice with the bitterness of
Creatine Powder definitely coming through, especially towards the bottom of the mixture. Personally, I'm not too concerned with the flavor of a product as long as it's effective, so take that into consideration when contemplating my thoughts on the flavor.
Ingredient Profile: 8.9/10
I was pleased with the ingredient profile. It resembles other concentrated
pre-workouts:
- 1,3-dimethylamylamine
- Tyrosine
- Caffeine
- Creatine Chelate
- Beta-Alanine
My only complaints is that I would like to see a slightly higher dose of
Beta Alanine as I feel they only threw it in for the tingle, but it is under dosed in its regard for a true increase in carnosine levels. So if you are counting on this effect from
Beta Alanine, I would definitely stack this with a product like Super Set.
Mixability: 8.0/10
Overall, this product was easy to mix with only a small amount of water which was to be expected with a concentrated
pre-workout. My only complaint is that there will tend to be small bits of creatine that refuse to mix, so I just added a little bit of extra water, swished it around the bottom of the shaker and it did the trick.
Overall: 9.1/10
I was pleasantly surprised by BioRhythym with
SSIN Juice. The formula and effectiveness of the product are on par, but the overall rating was lowered by a combination of a relatively quick assimilation to the product and that the pricing is a high when comparing to similar concentrated
pre-workouts. In conclusion, if you find this for a decent price, it is worth a try, otherwise stick with the tried and true
Jacked.
