I bought this product because it contained
BCAA's and L-Theanine. I was previously adding L-Theanine to my post workout shake to help manage cortisol. With Chain'd out containing this and another cortisol inhibitor, I figured I give it a go. It contains 7g of
BCAA malates at a 2:1:1 ratio per scoop. (3.5g leucine, 1.75g isoleucine, 1.75g valine) These are in malate form to help with absorption. The cortisol buffering compounds include L-Theanine and Rhodiola Rosea extract. I was taking 2 scoops intra workout and 1 scoop post with
Dark Matter. Definitely helped with fatigue and
recovery. Wouldn't say that it was any better in regards to
recovery than M
BCAA's or
Body Mortar. The added cortisol inhibitors would put it in a class of its own though. It also contains Dong Chong Xia Cao(cordyceps), which is supposed to help with body strength and immunity, along with alanine and apple peel extract. I had the blue raspberry flavor and it was by far the best tasting
BCAA product I've ever had. Mixed up great as well. The only problem is the price. It's rather expensive for a
BCAA supplement. I payed about $45 for a 60serving tub. Expensive compared to other
BCAA products. I would buy this product again and recommend it to anyone who takes
BCAA's.
