I was one of 2 guys that started
Absolute Nutrition in 1998. Prior to my starting Absolute, I had produced product/advertising for
Ultimate Nutrition for 10 years, created the
Prolab logo and developed the
weight gainer N-Large product, labels etc. Also developed and named the ShenMin supplement for BioTech. Have been in the ad/sport nutrition industry for a long time and take the sport of bodybuilding seriously. I think that I speak with some experience.
Originally Absolute was created as a sports nutrition company, but that changed when I found that my so called partner wanted to make a quick buck and approached raw materials manufacturers to create substandard product. I still have written correspondence from a manufacturer to support my claim(s). THe last people you want to piss off are bodybuilders and even with that in mind...plans were made to manufacture product that didn’t meet the Supplement Facts-- all for the sake of making a more profitable product. I then started to see product arrive with all kinds of different sized capsules, broken caps and more. When confronted my partner with this information, he denied that he had anything to do with it (until I saw the actual correspondence with a raw materials supplier.) Having noticed his intentions weren't to admirable, I left the company. (Oh yeah, I forgot--according to them--I'm a disgruntled employee).
Do you remember Strength Systems and how that company blatantly ripped people of with inferior or non-existant ingredients? It's now the same guys running the show at
Absolute Nutrition. After being in business for almost 10 years Absolute's gross income is less than it was in the first year of it’s existance. Now
Absolute Nutrition has a whopping staff of 2 people now working there. That's 2, not 200. Not exactly progressing.
If you value your health, your customers health, you should avoid their stuff with a 10 ft pole.
Thanks,
