Recommended I recently finished a tub of Phormula 1 Whey Protein Isolate and found it to be very effective in aiding recovery. It has a solid profile of BCAA with 5g per serving as well as 5g of glutamine. Downside is that there are only 32 servings per container with each serving giving 24g of Protein. It comes in at 98 calories with zero fat and 1g of carbs per serving. Another big positive is that it mixes very well even in a shaker cup and you dont get any clumps. Too pricey for me to go another round($42.00 per tub), but I would recommend trying it to anyone who has the resources. Its available in fruit punch and watermelon (I got samples of both and fruit punch was better to me.)and the taste was decent but certainly far from the best. Very good product as far as results though.

NOT Recommended Hands down the most expensive crap protein I've ever bought. Foams up baddddd! chunks up as well, has horrible taste and after taste. Not even close to being as good as iso-100 or zero carb SRO. the fruit punch flavor was horrible as well as the watermelon kind of having a sour rotten taste to it. Never ever buy this protein

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy this. I have actually been using this for almost 6 months now on the recommendation of MMA Freak. I think the fruit punch tastes like kook-aid and I look forward to drinking it. It contains a decent amount of fast absorbing protein, and when mixed with their Ignition product gives you everything you need post workout, including BCAA's and glutamine. It is fairly expensive, but to me it is worth it. Seems like you just didn't like the taste and the foaming, but if you let sit for 30 seconds the foam goes away.

Maybe Recommended No question it is the best post workout protein on the market. It tastes good, not great. Then again, I'm not a fan of non-chocolate flavored protein powders and I still drank the juicy watermelon flavor with no issues. It increased my bench press faster than any other powder. Taken with Ignition, it is a powerful post workout shake. It's also cold processed. A little difficult to mix. Also foams really bad after mixing. Still, 1.8 lbs for $48 is really expensive (I went through it in a month).

I did experience a bad stomach ache the first time I took it, but that was only once. I guess I wasn't used to that high of a concentration of proein.

Also has a lot of sodium (230 mg per scoop)

Recommended Mixes better than any other protein powder I've ever tired. Taste is very good compared to most. Results have been positive...steadily making modest increases in strength and lean muscle while not adding any fat. On the expensive side, but one serving fills you up. One scoop post workout and a container should last you about a month.

Maybe Recommended Been using this product, ignition and their level 1 protein for 6 months so far. Bought it from supplement superstores in St.Louis,Mo.
I have to say they push this product HARDCORE! kinda like GNC pushes their Pro Performance line. They emphasize that the protein is "Cross-Flow Cold Process" to not damage protein structure.
Now for the review...taste of Phormula 1 is pretty bad to me. Both fruit punch and watermelon. I rotated between the two which helped. I used their glycogen product "Ignition" post workout with Phormula 1. It was effective with recovery. I was very disciplined with my diet and it kept me very lean while adding a small amount of mass. Some noticeable changes in the mirror also.
I also used DGC from AST and couldn't feel a difference between the two. Both did the job. For me, the results weren't worth the money. Each 2lb jug is around $43 and Ignition $15.
I'm going to a blend protein(with isolate first in the ingredients)and a plain Dextrose for my post workout supplement and daily supplement for a while and see what happens. Going to try Dextrose from Now foods and Gold Standard 100% Whey from ON.
See you in a couple of months!

Recommended First stumbled upon this product by reading the logos on some friends shirts up at my local gym. Decided to do some research and found out that Phormula-1 is paired with another product, ignition, which are to be mixed together (1 scoop of each pre,1 scoop of ignition and 2 of Phormula-1 post workout). Phormula-1 is available in Watermelon and Fruit punch flavors. Containing only 96 calories with 23 grams of protein per serving with only 1g of carbs this bioavailable mixture is immediatley absorbed into the muscles speeding up recovery time right after a workout. Watermelon tastes like an actual water melon, i would suggest using about 8-10 ounces of cold water with the 1 scoop of ignition/phormula-1 and about 16-20 ounces of h20 with the 1 scoop of ignition/2 scoops formula 1 post workout. Mix it up thouroughly or else there will be little balled up chunks of the ignition/phormula-1 shake. Fruit Punch took me back to the days of Hawaiian Punch, which can never be beat, especially without all the sugar. A container will last you about 15-30 days depending on if you take 1 scoop before and 2 after or however you choose to do it. THIS IS NOT A DAILY USE PROTEIN, ONLY USE IMMEDIATLEY POST WORKOUT!

Recommended Too expensive but a very good product. I use this w/ignition or plain dextrose powder. I've used the watermelon and tastes very good. Very effective for post workout. Noticed an increased recovery time.
